First time making my own chunky blanket, and loved it!…read more The Space:: Our areas were set up and ready to go at craft tables in the main room. This room also housed the bar area. The store was filled with all kinds of artworks ~ different colors and textures scattered throughout with projects awaiting pick up in the next room. It was clean and spacious, along with unisex restrooms. The Service:: Our multi-talented instructor (and bartender) did a great job leading the class and crafting drinks! Creating the lasso and first row was a bit tricky ~ but the hand knitting that followed flowed like a pro. Focus is still important as you want to make sure you're consistent with your loops (blanket size). So if you're new to hand knitting, this may not be the best activity if you want to catch up with the girls. It's perfect to take your mind off of the day-to-day stressors and create a unique gift for you or a loved one. I ordered two drinks in between: iced pumpkin latte and mackintosh mule. Not as potent as I prefer, but quenched my thirst. Both drinks were more on the sweet side imo. The Product:: I am in LOVE with my new blanket and currently scavenging for chunky yarn deals! I've unlocked a new obsession. The Verdict:: I would definitely return to make another blanket and/or to craft something new.

Such a great place for a girls' night (or day)! Most people have heard of the paint and sip…read morepainting classes where you are taught how to paint on canvas, whilst sipping wine with friends. This is similar, but a little more involved - you get to create adorable, rustic wooden signs and platters. We kicked off our girls' getaway weekend with an early Saturday morning class. HOW IT WORKS: You go to their website and choose which class you want to attend. You choose which board/item you want to create and pay right there online. It's $65 - so it's a little pricier than the canvas type paint classes but worth it for what you create. PAINTING DAY!: When you arrive, you go to your table where all of our boards are lying on top. The wood was naked because we were going to sand them, stain them, stencil them and then paint them ourselves. You put on an apron, and the teacher guides you through each step. They already have the stencils cut (since you picked your board in advance), and so it's a pretty seamless process. There are examples of boards all over the room for inspiration. I loved my final product! It was a 3 hour process, but it was fun and went by fast. They have various drinks you can order to your table (the ladies at the table next to us all ordered a bunch of beers - at 10:00 a.m. - starting early I guess). Since it was my birthday, they took a photo of our group, holding our signs, while I held a board that said I celebrated my birthday at Board and Brush. :D They also gave us punch cards, so that you get a free class once you attend so many classes. I'm not sure I'll be making THAT many boards, but I definitely will do one again sometime! My board looks perfect in my living room!

No surprise this place has 5 stars! Loved Sharon, our table helper. Super cute and fun experience…read more Looking forward to going again. You can choose anything you want the night before and they have a bare board and stencil ready for you. You distress the board, sand paper, and stain it. Then stencil and paint.
