Went in for a swollen battery on an iPhone. The staff there were kind and straight to the point. I dropped off the phone and returned an hour later to pick it up. I got the phone back in perfect working condition. However, the phone was quite dirty (a little glue and smudges all over). Not a big issue though. Some lens cleaner cleaned all that off and it looks brand new now. Would definitely suggest going here to get your phone fixed. But I do wish they'd clean the device after working on it read more

Honestly, some of the worst service I've had in a while. I went in to replace my iphone 8 plus screen, they did it, but were short and not very friendly on the phone or in person. Then, a week later, I noticed a crack in the bottom right corner of the screen. I was shocked as I had not dropped it once since and it was in a case. When looking closer at the screen, I noticed that the bottom right corner of the screen was not properly inserted by the phone gurus and was protruding higher than the other three corners and was likely jeopardized the integrity of the screen. When I went back a week later with the receipt knowing they had a one year warranty, the man was rude and condescending and said it had nothing to do with their job and basically said that I was lying about not having dropped it. Got Phone Guru to fix my Macbook and they did an amazing job. Customer Service is on point.

My ipad Pro'a charging port was broken. I went to two other phone repair places and both said they couldn't fix it and told me to send it to Apple. The a quote from Apple was 780$ so I went no thank you. Finally I tried one last place and it was phone guru services. Their staff was so helpful and friendly. It was Christmas last year when I telephoned Fedx to get information on the cost and location to mail a letter to the USA. Fedx sent me to Phone Guru in Dunbar. I was told by Fedx that it would cost around $26 to send. Upon entering the store and without greeting me, the person there said that I have to wear a mask. I informed this person that I had a medical exemption. He retorted, " Leave the store, you are trespassing." Later in the day, we sent an employee to mail this out from the same Dunbar location. The same person at this location told the employee sent by us, that the cost would be $75. When the employee reported the Fedx quote, he responded with," With the format that you wish to send this with, it is $75." I immediately telephoned Fedx when I was informed of what happened at the Phone Guru Dunbar location. Fedx said, "They had no business not allowing you into the store without a mask because we follow the BC Ministry of Health Mandate which allows a person to conduct their affairs without a mask if they have a medical exemption." "Furthermore this business misrepresented themselves to you regarding the cost of sending this letter to the USA." " We are going to tell the operator to issue you a full refund." " We will not tell the operator why, until you have your refund, so you will not be further harassed by this business." After a few weeks into the new year, I went to this store to get my refund. Upon entering the store, the same person told me to leave. Please be advised that because of his ferocity, I was wearing a scarf over my face. He turns his back retreats to the back of the store. I inform him that I have come for my refund. He seems perplexed. Then he comes out with a cheque. He demands for the receipt. I return later in the day with this receipt. He takes it from me and says that it is not in the same condition as when he gave it to me. He will not give me my refund. I tell him that I am going to call the police. I leave the store. I realize while I am outside that he has the receipt. I re-enter to get my receipt. He has the cheque in his hand that he is holding above my head, out of my reach. He is smirking. I can plainly see he is trying to goad me into doing something that could compromise my claim. Therefore, I leave to call the police. When I come back into the store to inform him that the VPD is on their way, he throws the cheque on the floor and retreats into the back of the store. Are we going to continue to support businesses in the Dunbar Community that disrespect and marginalize our community's most vulnerable? I am a female of 69 years. This could happen to your Mother, your Grandmother too! These are the actions of a coward that would show such utter contempt for an elderly person. Let's stop enriching these people that think they can do so, at our expense. read more

Terrible. Brought in my MacBook Pro 15 2017 for operating system reinstall. Once got it back, I noticed that the year have changed to 2016, as well as the cpu frequency! I cant explain my feelings that moment, but I was shocked and really disappointed. Went back to the store, they say "we accidentally did motherboard replacement". What??? People, they steal your parts... Shop around before even going there!!! read more

I dropped my phone in the sink and didn't realise it was not working well until several hours later- I didn't know where to take it to and googled a place and phone guru popped up- took it in with trepidation . Anyway less than 48hrs I was able to pick up my phone in perfect working order and with a new screen that I was not charged for. read more

Walk in service was quick, ready in 30-45 mins. Screen was "defective" so I was give a cheaper price which made it easier to swallow to get it fixed. Would use this business again, free street parking. read more

They did not do a good job at all. I brought my Pixel in to be fixed in November. They said it was going to be a quick fix and kept my phone a couple days. The phone worked for one hour before dying again. When I went back he told be it should be no problem at all. I waited an entire week and when I got it back it still didn't work. I brought it back a final time. The man said he had to order a new chip from China which would come in about a week. I went up to the store one week, then two, then three. He kept telling me that he would be able to fix it once it came in. After waiting three weeks for the chip he tried to install it and it didn't work. I asked for my hundred dollars back and he returned it without my fifteen dollar tip that was on the recite. If you are getting your phone repaired at least go to a place that knows what they are talking about. My opinion go down to EJ cellphone repair on broadway. At least they know how to talk to customers. read more
