I managed to smash the glass of my OnePlus One screen and render the touchscreen digitizer useless. It should have been in a case but those aren't too easy to find locally. As I'm on a small fixed income I ordered the broken parts from China for $25. It took forever. Unfortunately the phone glass is fused with glue to the LCD so it is very difficult to replace one without damaging the other. Nevertheless, Sukhy gave it a shot, despite having never worked on this model of phone before. Prior to going to BeyondScreen I went to another repair place that flat out refused.. And I used to work there! Even though we couldn't use the old LCD, he managed to get a replacement screen in much faster than if I'd ordered it from China, and knocked a big chunk off my bill despite all the extra work he'd done, and having had to learn a whole new phone. I texted the number as requested and we eventually agreed to meet at a pre-specified time a few hours later. As someone previously mentioned, the individual works out of his apartment building. He came down to meet me when I texted that I had arrived at the corner of West Pender and Broughton Street. He immediately provided me with a business card, showing that he was with iPhone Doctor, then assessed my phone, checking if the screen was still functional aside from the screen being cracked. Within 10-15 seconds he said my screen is repairable, and that he would be back in 15 minutes. Obviously, for a person whom you just met one minute earlier, to hand over your phone and watch him walk back into the building with your phone can be a bit nerve wrecking ... especially since he has your phone, and there is no way to stay in contact with him (in case you need to leave for whatever reason, or if you want to check in with him if it is taking longer than expected). So you wait outside until your phone is ready. It ended up taking 30 minutes instead of 15 before he came back down and presented the phone back to me, perfectly functional with a new screen and with a screen protector on it. Then he handed me a warranty card good for 120 days, and said my total was $89 (including taxes), for which he took a visa card for payment. The gentlemen was extremely polite. Overall, I am happy with the repair job and thought the price was very reasonable. I'd refer a friend to him for a screen repair, but I do think at least one review on here should outline what you can expect during your visit so you can wait with peace of mind while the repair is happening. So, darren lindwall agreed to install a Desay brand battery into my iPhone, but instead, he installed a cheaper poor quality Ampsentrix battery and lied to me by saying that Ampsentrix was owned by Desay. ( which they are not ) And prior to the replacement he chose to send me text images of the replacement battery, with the top part of the battery where the name of the battery is out of the image ( see photos attached ) All of the defaming statements he has made about me in his response to my initial accurate Yelp review, dated October 2022, of his business are a contrived delusion fabricated in the ill world he lives in. There are also multiple further untruths in darren lindwall's response to my accurate Yelp review of his business. 1. I did NOT contact him repeatedly to ask for a lesser price on the replacement and I actually only asked him on the phone ONCE if that was feasible 2. I did not get any doors slammed in my face by alternate mobile repair companies, and I never have in my life had any company close or " slam " a door on my face. Nor did I insinuate or tell darren that. And darren's fabrication of that untruth is his attempt to defame me about that make me laugh. 3.
