Having NOW just read darren lindwall of bk iphone repairs response to my accurate and factual review, which I posted a week after he scammed me in mid-October 2022, I am laughing with pity for his attempts to cover up his intentional scam. So, darren lindwall agreed to install a Desay brand battery into my iPhone, but instead, he installed a cheaper poor quality Ampsentrix battery and lied to me by saying that Ampsentrix was owned by Desay. ( which they are not ) And prior to the replacement he chose to send me text images of the replacement battery, with the top part of the battery where the name of the battery is out of the image ( see photos attached ) All of the defaming statements he has made about me in his response to my initial accurate Yelp review, dated October 2022, of his business are a contrived delusion fabricated in the ill world he lives in. There are also multiple further untruths in darren lindwall's response to my accurate Yelp review of his business. 1. I did NOT contact him repeatedly to ask for a lesser price on the replacement and I actually only asked him on the phone ONCE if that was feasible 2. I did not get any doors slammed in my face by alternate mobile repair companies, and I never have in my life had any company close or " slam " a door on my face. Nor did I insinuate or tell darren that. And darren's fabrication of that untruth is his attempt to defame me about that make me laugh. 3. I did not present any " odd behaviour, or body language " rather darren's body language when I watched him do the work was very high strung, odd and uncharacteristic of a reliable business owner And Darren did not answer any of my phone calls or emails after he scammed me. ( see attached photos ) I recently filed a lawsuit against darren lindwall and his business bk iphone repairs for his deception and manipulation about the work he agreed to do. The lawsuit against darren was free of cost to me, it did not cost me one penny! And through that lawsuit, he FINALLY agreed to reimburse me the full cost that I paid him for the cheap battery he deceived me into believing was the battery that I asked for, and he paid me for the cost of the Desay brand replacement battery that he told me he would use. read more

I have never been inclined to post a bad review on Yelp, but I feel that people need to be warned about this guy. He is horrible. I had a broken screen on my iPhone 5c. He charged me the same amount that it would have cost me if I took it to the mac store to be repaired. Once he replaced the screen the phone didn't work properly at all. The buttons were super sensitive so when talking on the phone calls would be dropped, put on mute or hold. Also the speaker quality was horrible and the touch screen worked sporadically. This was not an outcome of me dropping the phone. I used the phone for days before taking it to him. The troubles were caused by his "repair". On top of that, the screen wasn't mac. It was a cheap replacement screen. It was so fragile that it broke again a few days after the repair when I dropped it with the case on. I decided not to mess around and took the phone directly to Apple. Be warned: if Apple suspects a third party repair on one of your devices, they no longer service or repair that device. Because he sold me a crappy screen that was not mac, they couldn't fix my phone. read more

My iPhone 6 fell out of my pocket during a ride at Canada's Wonderland. Probably about 60 ft high. When I recovered it, the screen was completely shattered and the back was bent. I seriously thought I would lose every picture from my trip and possibly have to purchase a new phone. Luckily, I was recommended to Darren by a friend and he was a life saver. Darren, the iPhone whisperer, saves the day again... I really thought there was no way he could fix it after a dropped it once again, messed up the power button, and damaged the battery... the battery was probably in bad shape for a while from water damage and multiple concussions, there was even a minor puncture. I did notice the phone has been heating up more than usual - if you notice that, be aware that it may burst from over heating. At any rate, BK resurrected my 5C, replaced the battery, and it was all very quick and cheap! If you have a problem with your iPhone, any kind of problem - just take it to BK. This business is legit. I was a bit hesitant as there is no storefront but took a chance based on several positive reviews on Google, Facebook and Yelp, plus zero complaints on BBB. Also for the 2 negative reviews I noticed the tone of the owner's responses was very reasonable and professional. Good reviews can be fake but bad reviews are more likely real and how the owner responds reveals a lot. Darrell had very prompt email communication, he met us in the spacious lobby of a very posh condo with mask, took our iPhone 5s up to his suite while we waited in lobby, came back in 10 min with diagnosis, left it with him overnight and he emailed 7am next morning saying it was ready. Apple store refused to help restore the phone which was dead. Said a new battery probably wouldn't help and we'd likely lose the data, which was highly sentimental. "Geniuses" basically gave no hope and strongly discouraged even attempting repair. Darrell found that all it needed was a new battery and to be glued back together as the puffy battery had nearly damaged the display but he fixed it for $100 with brand new battery and now it looks like new and works perfectly. Highly recommend this guy. He is a true genius and Apple employees are nasty drones trained to crush your spirits with lies that phones are beyond repair, even if you offer to also buy a new one on the spot. A friend dropped my phone on a friday night out, I looked around on saturday to get the screen fixed. $110 seemed pretty standard so I rang BK and he was really nice, took some time to explain that he used legit parts from legit suppliers not dodgy parts, which i was concerned about and even showed me the parts after doing the repair. 10 out of 5 if possible. To start, I dropped my iPhone and could not type in the password after. The screen was frozen and later turned into a blank, black nothing. So I tried fixing it but to no avail. In desperation, I googled "iPhone repairs Vancouver" and found BK iPhone Repair. I called Darren right away. While he did not pick up, he messaged me right away. That alone speaks volumes about how he treats his customers: going above and beyond even after his shop was closed. After several text messages and failed attempts on my end to fix my phone, Darren told me to leave my phone as is. I heeded his advice and made an appointment to see him, not knowing if my iPhone could be salvaged ( he did assure me that the data can be saved if it was a physical damage only though). This was on Thursday night. I went for an appointment on Friday evening and sat nervously as I watched him replace my screen (as he promised to see if it works). In less than 10 minutes, I could see my screen going on again. He even pointed out how the screen was replaced before and taught me so much about iPhone ( first time iPhone user) as well as went the extra mile to clean up the inner components. In the end, my iPhone was fully functional again as if nothing happened. This was my first time dealing with BK iPhone Repairs. I brought my iPhone 4 in to Darren as a last resort--I'd already been told by 3 different Apple store "geniuses" that my phone was a write-off, no physical or water damage, just a hardware failure where it wouldn't power up, everything was apparently wiped from my phone and my only option was to buy a new one. Darren took apart my phone, tested it, and somehow managed to bring it back to life. Not only that, all my info (photos, contacts, everything important that I hadn't been able to back up yet) was still there! It was amazing. I was able to get the phone back home and do a full backup and am so happy Darren was able to help me when no one else was able to or willing to. I would give him 6 stars if I could.
