If I could choose no stars I would. My girlfriend came here due to the warranty policy. She had fixed her phone at another place and the warranty was nowhere close to the one offered by FCR. She came and the person who fixed her screen was very helpful and nice. The screen started acting up and she returned hoping to a solution. When she came back, the guy who helped her was not there (would've been nice but expected). Instead there were two other guys. They explained she would have to pay $150 to replace the screen since it wasn't covered due to dropping it. She handed the phone over since she assumed they'd provide the same service as she received before. The front camera wasn't working to unlock the phone and they asked her for her passcode. This made her uneasy. She told me about it as well and I am huge on electronics as well as clumsy. Out of all the repairs and times I've repaired phones over the years not once was this required. She pushed back saying it's not necessary. They didn't ask once more but multiple times. When she questioned them they said we need it. Both pushing for it. She stood her ground and said no. They told her to leave and come back in an hour (which again odd as their website says maximum 30-45 minute repairs. Telling her to leave and come back while pushing for her passcode is shady. This leads me to worry how many other people just willingly give their passcode to one of these guys. How much compromised information or stuff they've dug through while a customer is gone. There were time sensitive matters that required her phone so she was trying to get a fast fix from what we thought were dependable people and get it back to get back on track. Before they would start working on it, they tried upselling her everything under the moon. She had a phone case and they said she could get one with them. She asked why she needs one, she has one. They said but we do too and continued to push her to look at their selection. Once they realized she wasn't budging they told her she should buy a screen protector as well to prevent the damage to her screen in the future. She told them, "the one I had on is one I got her last time I was here and it didn't help so why would I buy another?" Crickets. They even pushed on doing a diagnostic. I'm all for suggesting thing that are helpful to a customer but when all you're doing is talking over a customer and obviously trying to squeeze as much money from them shows the lack of care you have for anything more than a paycheck. It shows your character and how much you care about what you do. After dragging their feet for who knows how long, she left and went home. She came back for her phone and paid them. Only a couple hours after leaving the store, she was trying to take a picture and the camera failed. We troubleshooted and it still wasn't working. She had to go back. When she went back they said they couldn't check any other functionality on her phone since she refused to give them the passcode. Nice way to push the blame. They also told her that because the front facing camera not working is why the back camera doesn't work which is a lie. They're not always tied to each other. Yes, it could have but it's not a thing where they always go hand in hand. I know this for a fact as I have the same model phone that she had being repaired and one of my phones still have that issue. Front camera has not been working and the regular camera has never had an issue. Just the front camera. Anyway, at the end of the story she left spending $150 for a phone with both camera broken but a new screen. If you've made it this far and wonder, why is she writing this? She didn't even go into the store? The reason I've taking it upon myself to write this is, it's been two days and I'm still in awe with how things played out. It was not me who went into the store but my girlfriend who this happened to (who is patient and nicer than I) would not go out of her way to complain. Before leaving they asked her to review them online. This place is a joke. This was at 2/13 between12pm-4pm read more
