My husband and I had a price tag in mind and some ideas about what we would like. He took those ideas and is not only implementing them, but making them even better in the construction of our new home. He figured out my aesthetic before we even had a foundation. I am always asking questions or adding some new feature idea. We were worried he might grow weary and tell us to "forget it," but that hasn't happened yet. :^) He is patient with us and responds quickly to emails and text messages. Most of all, he always wants to make our ideas come true. He listens and leans into our thinking. Even when I have ideas that are out of budget, he helps us find an alternative that is perfect or figures out if we can save in another place. Bottom-line: He pursues quality as if he or someone in his family were about to move into the home he is building. It was very poor quality overall. They took 14 months to build and we finally just asked them to leave. I would never trust them to build anything for me. Complete incompetence in many areas. Worst decision of my life was trusting them to build my home.
