I was attracted by the bright color of Leon's sign so I went and checked the menu: there were a lot…read moreof vegan/vegetarian options but also many traditional chicken and fish burgers (I got the chipotle and avocado burger... highly recommend!!). The staff was very nice and I had overall a very nice experience. 100% would go there again

When I started working in London I finally had a chance to try Leon. Billed as "naturally fast…read morefood" I was still shocked to find how much of their menu is gluten free. Including the desserts. I loved it so much that I excitedly tweeted to them that I would singlehandedly keep a restaurant open in Brighton. And they replied to me telling me to wait. Well... the wait is over! Today I was invited to the opening of the new Leon Restaurant in Brighton which replaces Eat. I think this is a brilliant swap as Eat was far too similar to its neighbour Pret. But Leon is quite different in that it offers warm, hearty food. Setting up just before winter is also probably a good move. The decor is really nice and chilled out. They make good use of the space which I've previously found a bit dark and claustrophobic. Katy and I were greeted by some of the nice workers at Leon and told we could each choose a meal and drink to have on the house. We both went for the Moroccan Meatballs (on my recommendation). I had a lemonade to drink and Katy went for a green smoothie. We also picked up a few sweet treats: my favourite lemon and ginger slice and a billionaire shortbread for Katy. The meatballs are my favourite so I knew I would like them, but Katy had never been to a Leon and she loved it as well. She began talking about how close it is to her work and how she will be able to pop in on breaks for a relatively healthy and warm meal. We also tried searching for the menu online and a sneaky link to Deliveroo popped up. So we're hoping they're going to be one of our delivery options soon.

Anyone and everyone in Brighton and Hove should be careful of these people. When I first called…read morethese people I was met with a lovely person although when I started to explain the problems they immediatly got very defensive and blamed it on the fact that this was the first time I ordered which was nearly £40. I have no problem with the price if the food is worth it, although nothing about this entire experience has been worth it I understand that this was the first time I ordered although such massive problems cant have just only happened to me. The wontons were so small with meat I thought they had made a mistake and only put in the crispy bits. I was told that this is the way they do it. The containers were some of the smallest I have ever seen and were not even filled. One of the containers (which was at the bottom of the bag) had a corner broken off of it and was blamed on delivery, although when I explained it was at the bottom of the bag and there was no broken plastic anywhere I was informed it was still the delivery drivers fault (who was on a moped, which is understandable if there was eveidence of the broken piece)......... Does this mean that the delivery drivery driver picked out the broken piece or that the person who handled my food container was so careless that they didnt even realise????? There was no display of the fact that I would get dipping sauce with my won tons so I ordered a sauce (£2.50) and when my order came there was a sauce already with it, fine thats not a problem, in fact thats a good thing I get free sauce with my won tons, although maybe a side note when im ordering it wouldve been good so I knew that there was already sauce with it so i didnt have to buy sauce for no reason. Included is a few pictures I took to show the appaling quality to which I recieved.

It is a little more expensive then normal burger shops but I could happily eat this every night of the week. Everytime I get an Uncle Sam's I am well happy with what I get and although not gourmet, it's one of lives little treats that you have to have if only infrequently for people who want to stay in shape. It does have a good range of other products that you would normally find in a traditional local take-away and even vegetarians would enjoy the selection of vegetarian burgers that they offer.

Quick. Cheap. Tasty(ish)…read more Not how most people would want to be described, but Uncle Sams delivers what you'd expect and not much more. A friend and I were whizzing through the area in need of a quick bite before an appointment and this was a welcome stop off. A cheese burger meal and a bacon burger meal (with fries and drink) for just a tenner. I'm in. They are also super speedy. I received my order within 5 minutes (I timed them) and that was with 3 other food orders ahead of me. Taking no pride in their presentation my burger was rather hastily slopped together, but that gave it a rather reassuring freshly made appearance in stark contrast to the artificially uniform burger fare of more famous fast-food chains. In my haste to eat, the cheeseburger barely touched the sides. But there was no need to linger as the taste was so-so. There are a small number of tables if you fancy a sit down. If you want to drop in and pick up an order there are a handful of parking bays or you can nick a residential spot round the back. There is one toilet which is a bit shabby, but it has disabled access. If you're after your bog standard burger and chips on-the-go then this is certainly worth your custom. But if you're big on burgers, then this doesn't quite cut the mustard.

I am currently sitting in the restaurant eating Fish and Chips as a I write this. The fish is so crispy but so fresh on the inside and the french fries are perfect. I would recommend this place to anyone looking for a great spot to just grab some quick food. We were the only Americans in the restaurant, the rest of the guests seemed to be locals so that must be a good sign. Waitstaff was incredibly nice and the food came out very fast. Would come again!

You can walk in off the street at 3 in the morning, order mussels in a garlic and cream sauce, and finish that bottle of Pinot as the sun comes up: a unforgettable experience for so many reasons. The chief reason to go to Buddies is the fabled Buddies all-nighter: grab some friends, head to Buddies at a reasonable hour, and don't leave until the morning traffic has subsided. This is bloody marvellous, for easedropping potential if nothing else: the people who frequent are an eclectic and wonderful bunch. Last time I did this, a man punched a woman over a dog, some drunk students threw up on each other, and a man proposed only to be unsurprisingly turned down. What do you expect? It's on the seafront, it's open all night: who are they gonna attract? Drunk people and insomniacs, and neither really wants to be there. The menu is huge: most of it is awful. Stick to chips and well-cooked to avoid a premature end to your all-nighter. And if you've been clubbing, and want to stay up, pop in here to end the night with a more sanitary alternative to the kebab dripping down your shirt on the long, meandering walk home.
