Refused to provide brand name of parts used in my vehicle, would not explain problems they found with the inspection, refused to disclose labor pricing, rude and disrespectful to customers. Five Stars is not enough! I recently had an incident that required me to involve three (3) National and Local Companies. I went to Publix to pick up a few items and when I came out 'Old Blue' (2001 Jeep SE) was having nothing to do with turning over. I raised the hood and starting to poke around the engine compartment trying to look like I knew what the hell I was doing, but could not see anything out of the norm with the naked eye. I called my professional mechanic and dare I say friend at Phoenix Motors, 7721 Highway 72 W, Madison, AL 35758 (256) 864-2845, to advise that I would be towing the vehicle to his lot for him to repair. We did some telephonic trouble shooting but it was evident that a trip to the shop was in order. Subsequently I called Geico to use my tow service coverage as that was the only way I could get the Jeep to Phoenix Motors. That process was simple and efficient and I received a text that indicated that Affordable Towing, 1205 Virginia Blvd NW Huntsville, Alabama 35801, (256) 759-4060 was enroute and about 56 mins out. I kept fiddling within the engine compartment to see if I had any loose wires or whatever... and found no abnormalities. I called my wife and she came out to pick me up, but out of now where I decided to crank 'Old Blue' one more time and viola it lit. Immediately I called Affordable Towing, spoke with Anthony, and explained the situation. He was very understanding and helpful. I apologized profusely for getting him rolling. I texted Phoenix Motors just to let them know what was happening and that we were safe and enroute home. I want to extend my thanks to Geico Insurance, Phoenix Motors and Affordable Towing for their responsiveness and assistance when we thought the world was coming to an end. I will be towing the Jeep to Phoenix Motors next week and I'm sure that Alan and his crack team of professionals will get 'Ole Blue' back out on the road soonest. THANK YOU! read more

Went here to get my brakes repaired a while back. Rotors, pads, and fluid for ~$700. Price was a bit high but I saw the good reviews so I was okay with it. Less than 1,000 miles later my brakes are already squealing again as if I never had them fixed in the first place. On top of that they wanted to charge nearly $1000 to replace the radiator on my jeep. The guy didn't have a good explanation as to why something like that would cost so much and considering the shoddy brake job there's no reason to go back. read more

I took my truck in with an oil leak, I thought it was rear main seal which is an expensive repair. It turned out not to be the rear main seal but an oil cooler line at the oil pan. They fixed the leak and changed my oil all for $300 which is much less than it could have been. They could have said it was the rear main seal and charged me a lot more. The owner and his wife were great to deal with and talk to. I will definitely start using them for my future auto repairs read more

I'm thankful to the Yelpers who gave a good review for Phoenix Motors - they were spot on! My son's starter started to fail while we were visiting (he's a college student in Huntsville). The mechanic I had found previously was short handed the day we needed it serviced and they were also quite a distance (distance is relative coming from Los Angeles County). In searching I came across this honest, family owned business, Phoenix Motors. When I called, they told me they could get the part and fix it that day! We took the car right over. Phoenix Motors turned out to be right off the main road where our hotel was, which made it convenient for pick/up. It is also just nine minutes away from my son's residence. They took care of the problem in short order. In addition, they did a thorough check of the car and deemed it to be in good working order. That gives us, the parents, peace of mind about our son's road safety. There was no attempt to upsell us, and we were very pleased with the work and service - thrilled to have found them. read more

Terrible customer service. Lied to me about the price of my car repair. And after my tune up, my car is idling very rough. The owner doesn't return calls or return texts. Very poor customer service and lack of professionalism. When I walked into the store the owner didn't even acknowledge my existence. I suppose their business is doing so well they've forgotten how to treat customers. They could use a lesson on how to treat people. I don't recommend this garage. Dropped it off due to too many project and busy at work for a rich condition. $850 for changing spark plugs and wires "flushing fuel system" and "cleaning motor bay" I said fine, sounds like a lot but it's easier so I can focus on other things. Got it back, I was told $750 on the phone and that's what I approved... what told it was actually $850 when I went to pay, and then telling me it runs better but is still in need of repairs (starter "was going out" and they weren't sure why it was running bad) it basically ram the same as when I took it in. I took it home and checked it myself and the fuel composition was off and that was it and needed a simple reset with a special scan tool as this vehicle is know for. Got my own scan tool out.... reset it... months later still runs perfect, including the starter. Over priced, under experienced. I didn't mind paying the high price because I thought I was getting quality work. I will pay high price any day for quality as opposed to low price for low quality. Got to charge high for good service and experience and accuracy diagnostics, cant just charge high price to charge it. That's what happen to me. read more
