My daughter has been with Alla since she was 4 years old and I never see her sitting down. She is always teaching someone or helping advance them on their skills. They are the best coaches and I highly recommend them. If you feel your kid is not progressing at your current gym, with only a little bit of time and patience you will see a big improvement with these 2 wonderful people. You will see how genuine they are and it's not only about the money compared to other gyms out there (most especially Dulles Gymnastics which I would highly recommend staying away from).

Years ago, our autistic son worked with a former instructor, Cameron, for a gymnastics-themed one-hour workout, and he also participated in the Summer Minds In Motion Camp. Unfortunately, they don't know how to work with special needs children. Our son's session would start with five minutes on the trampoline to warm up, followed by floor exercises. If he got distracted or became uncooperative--which was common at the time--he was put in "timeout" on a dangerously high box for his size or forced to walk on the thin high beams without any training. If he jumped or fell off, they would just restart a five-minute timer and put him right back on. It felt unsafe and unhelpful I am surprised Our son never broke any bones and we never filed injury lawsuits it was this terrible. The summer camp was equally disorganized. The schedule was inconsistent, and we even witnessed instructors leaving computers logged into personal Amazon accounts within the children's reach. After seeing all of this, we pulled our son out and cannot endorse this academy for anything they offer.

I did a search for all the Tae Kwon Do dojos near me, and I emailed the three that had the best review. I asked a few questions. All of them responded, but Brian (owner of Highkicks) was the only one who didn't send me a canned response and answered all of my questions. The kids were reluctant, but after their first time, they (especially my son) loved it. We have been going ever since. Everyone there is nice and welcoming. When we enter, everyone greets us. One thing that struck me was that all the instructors knew my kids' names. My son had been doing running through FPYC for years, and the coaches didn't know his name. It wasn't the case here. Another thing that I loved was that my son loves it. I don't know you remember that Mastercard commercial where the dad puts his son in all these activities, and finally, the son loves Chess, and the dad yells with joy. It's EXACTLY how I feel. He wants to go and smiles the entire time. We did a month trial and signed up. Master Jake said to me that if there is any time I see that the kids are having problems with something, please let them know so they can help me. What?! I almost fainted when I heard that. I'm so glad that I chose them because they really care about the kids.

Their structure is very versatile, from going once a week to 2-3 times and even every day. Staff is all abundantly friendly. Each seems to really make an effort to get to know your child and help them with the skills they need. Recently my younger (only 3.5) started as well. They reassured us that even though he wasn't able to hold focus or stamina for a whole class it's still good for him to have the exposure and hopefully as time goes on he will adapt. But both love it! We look forward to having the kids spend the professional days off from school here as well as perhaps doing some weeks of camp in the summer time.

It's small, but it's a good option on cold days when you'd rather NOT get on a treadmill. This is a pretty big Y! I was here to perform a PT test for some applicants. They allowed us to use their space, which is great. Kenny at the front desk was very helpful in pointing me to where I needed to be. The trainer was also very helpful in assisting us with dedicating one lane of the track to the applicants. I would love to work out here. I didn't do a full tour, but I never met a gym I didn't like! There was plenty of equipment and again, the indoor track is a plus. I saw women in what appeared to be an aerobics class and I must say, that room is huge! There's plenty of space for anybody who wants to join a class. It's also very bright and airy. I see that they also have childcare which is huge! I saw them playing outside. It appears to be a pretty spacious area. Some kids were down on the basketball court going through a workout. Too cute. But yeah, I'm a fan of the Y and this one looks pretty inviting.

Not sure about non walkers but I've seen other people bring babies in and it seems fine. They don't do diaper changes so they'll either call or physically find you if there's a bowel movement so I wasn't comfortable swimming but weights, walking or group classes seem fine. You can bring a snack (without peanuts) and drinks to make the transition easier. I guess I've seen some parents bring a meal like pizza. As others have said it's not as premium of an experience as Lifetime or Worldgate but it has a pleasant neighborly feel. Really wish the pool had a bigger leisure area for kids. It's mostly overrun by lap swimmers whenever I've visited.

Please do not send your children to this camp! Voted best in 2020? HOW?!?!…read more No idea clue where your child is during the day, when they are going to eat, minimal supervision on site, and SERIOUS sanitation issues. My child attended for 2 weeks and they changed the location of their daily field trips multiple times, with no notification to parents. If my child is supposed to be going to Frying Pan Park, but instead goes to the owners house / farm in Berryville...I should be notified. Poor planning to the point that the kids didn't eat their packed lunch (bc it was left onsite) and instead received a rice krispy treat as a snack. They finally ate LUNCH onsite around 3pm. Majority of the day is free-time in the back gym while "grown ups are at the front on their phones", where a wall blocks any view. To top it off, my child said multiple times there were no paper towels in the bathroom and at least twice no toilet paper. I witnessed this first hand we went to bathroom before leaving, there were no paper-towels and the hand soap was empty! The owner pulled out a bar of soap from under the sink and asked staff to bring paper towels. When non were found, she went next door and brought them, claiming the business next door (the martial arts place she will include as an activity) borrowed them. She then proceeded to argue that the cleaning staff stocks nightly. Ignoring the fact that these items were not present in the bathroom when the children needed them!!! The owner also said their ratio is 5:1 but most field trips are her and 1 other lady. Multiple 7 year olds (mine and others) have no reason to lie about who attended a field trip. When confronted for any issues, Mrs. Winter (the owner) claims everything is for the children...but the truth is it's her bottom line matters more. Any caring person (or teenager) would never run a camp like this. In summary: If you don't want to know where your kid is during the day, what staff is present, when they will eat, how they wipe or wash their hands, sign up.

Students learn moves and techniques but add their own twists putting them together in combinations. They can adapt moves to their strengths, abilities, and styles. Each coach we've tried has brought something unique and positive. They are great breakers but are also good at teaching those skills to others with positive, patient, and supportive attitudes. My kid and the students I've watched have developed strength, stamina, quick thinking, and resilience. Participating in things like the jams (events) and open practices ("the Zone") has also given a wonderful sense of community. I've watched students from age 5 through adult start out tentative but begin to develop confidence by the third class or so. For my kid, the quiet confidence and persistence developed through breaking at All10 has spread to other activities and academic settings, too, which has been pretty awesome to watch as a parent. A lace system based on learning and mastering specific moves gives some structure and visible progress. As students progress, this is not an "instant gratification" activity. Once they get to more advanced "power" moves, it takes time to build up the strength and stamina for them. When they persist and finally nail something, others cheer their successes. If they are consistent, the results I've seen among my kids' breaking peers are impressive. They develop great mental and physical skills, but best of all, they just have fun doing so.
