This is the friendliest music store I've ever been to. The older gentleman, Roy, is very easygoing…read moreand quick to offer help with a smile and advice, and knows where everything is in the store blindfolded, but will let you look on your own if you prefer too. The store is packed with any genre of sheet music and books (and TAB form) for every instrument you can imagine (banjo, dulcimer, mandolin, vocals, guitar, piano, brass instruments, woodwinds, etc all of them). They sell accessories such as guitar strings, tuners, straps, picks, music stands, and some acoustic guitars and banjos as well. Vinyl records and small musical gifts line the walls, it's so fun to explore and each time you visit you'll find something new, as there's so much selection. If there is something they don't have in stock, they will order it for you. The vibe is very relaxed and they are never pushy, you can look around for 30 min alone exploring if you want and just ask if you need anything. Love this place and can't recommend it enough, it's also a vintage store with history dating back to the 1950's so it has such cute charm and decor, it's an experience that online shopping can't give. I now purchase all my sheet music and guitar accessories from Central Music, support local!

We had three choices and price points, and I selected the "student" one which was the least expensive, and wow, this instrument sounds so much better and is in great shape! We were in and out of the shop in 20 minutes. The salesperson helping us was knowledgeable and friendly and we were able to find the accessories we needed as well (shoulder rest sponge and rosin). She's been playing it for 3 months with no issues and it doesn't go out of tune quickly like her cheap one. Billing is automatic and easy, with no mistakes. Such a great experience - we'll definitely be back when it's time to upgrade to the next one!

My child and I attended the trial class for the K-Pop Music program featuring K-Pop Demon Hunters,…read moreand while we truly appreciate the creativity behind offering a class inspired by K-Pop and love seeing how popular the genre has become with younger students, I wanted to share some honest feedback. Although the theme and the advertisement of K-Pop is great, the class itself did not include any actual Korean elements. The "K" in K-Pop stands for Korean, yet the song sheets handed out were entirely in English, and students were specifically instructed to sing only the English versions and not the Korean lyrics. This makes the class feel misaligned with what K-Pop actually is, and in that sense, calling it a K-Pop class feels like unintentional false advertising. I feel advertising it as a vocal class featuring hit songs from the movie K-Pop Demon Hunters (English Version) would be better than calling it a "K-Pop Class." To give one example, I overheard a student telling her mom afterward that all the Korean parts had been replaced with English words and she excitedly said she now "knows Korean," which highlights the confusion this can create. We genuinely appreciate the effort to bring modern music into the curriculum, and we think a class inspired by K-Pop could be wonderful with some adjustments. We simply wanted to share this feedback in case it helps refine the program. Thank you for taking the time to read this, and we wish you the best with your classes.

I've been bringing my daughter here for 6 months now & we're really happy with everything! She…read morestarted piano here a month before she turned 4. We did a meet-and-greet at another music academy & it did not go well! Not sure how your almost 4 year old was/is but mine can be pretty stubborn. Without getting into it, I knew finding a teacher that worked well with younger kids would be so important! I initially reached out to Desert Ridge Music Academy via email & they responded the same day! They were thorough & answered all my questions, as well as worked with me on a class time & the instructor I wanted. Before I get into how much we love our instructor, I have to talk about the lady who runs the front & answers the phones...she's amazing! She's a grandma & acts like the grandma of all the kids! She's so warm & fun! She really helped my sometimes brutally shy daughter, feel comfortable! We look forward to seeing her every week! Now, as far as our piano instructor - Yarou - she's outstanding! Clearly a talented, renowned pianist, but also a really great teacher! She's patient with my daughter while still being consistent & continually finding ways to reach her on her level. I really appreciate her effort, which is totally paying off! It's amazing to see my now 4 & a half year old reading basic notes, playing "Mary Had A Little Lamb" on our grand piano & even toy pianos, and being excited to continue to learn!

I had a quick and seamless experience at the Avondale Guitar Center!…read more As soon as I walked in and asked for help locating a specific item, Tristan immediately stopped what he was doing, came around the counter, and personally led me to the DJ section in the back. He didn't hesitate to grab a ladder and pull the item for me. What stood out most was the trust he showed, he allowed me to carry the item to the front myself, even though it was a higher-priced product which other businesses frown upon. The entire visit, from walking in to checking out took no more than 10 minutes, literally! Tristan was also very patient while helping me set up an account and clearly explained the warranty options without being pushy. His attitude and customer service were truly excellent. I actually returned about an hour later, just minutes before closing, and was helped by another associate, Andrew. Once again, I was greeted right away and asked how he could assist me. Andrew was calm, kind, and understanding, and he quickly helped me process an exchange without any issues. He handled everything efficiently and made the process stress-free. I honestly didn't expect to need to visit a Guitar Center, but this experience completely exceeded my expectations. The staff created a welcoming and helpful environment, and I highly recommend this location!
