Dr. Rabbin was referred to me by a friend who had a good experience. I went in for dry, irritated skin on my face - the staff was pretty rude, but my wait time was minimal. Dr. Rabbin walked in, barely looked at my face- didn't touch my skin, held up a magnifier about 3 feet from me for literally, 2 seconds. She sat down and wrote 3 prescriptions - the same 3 medications she prescribed to my friend who had rosacea and said she would be in touch with me in one month. The entire appointment was about 7 minutes long, including wait time.
I have not heard from Dr.Rabbin. The medications she prescribed absolutely destroyed my face. When I picked them up from the drugstore, my pharmacist said "I really don't see why you need any of these, they are very strong, be careful using them." She also asked if I wanted a recommendation for a new dermatologist.
I got the sense that Dr. Rabbin was annoyed with me because I really don't have bad skin, so I feel that she didn't take me seriously. I could have followed up myself after the month, but am pretty disappointed with not only the lack of follow up, but the dismissiveness during my appointment and the seemingly careless prescribing. read more
