Wanted noodles yesterday for lunch and happened upon this Vietnamese restaurant a couple blocks away. I seated myself and ordered Bun vermicelli with beef and egg roll. Casual setting and excellent service. Water before I even asked! How different could this place be from Little Saigon in City Heights? From the sight of the meal, I was blown away by the steam floating from it. The steak looked tender and it was! It lay over the noodles and the greens were on the second third and egg roll split into bites over the noodles. I guess the marinade along with the quality of the beef & noodles - just enough fat- won me over. I genuinely felt like I was having a home cooked meal here. I'm coming back again. Pretty good. However, I think I liked the broth at the last two places I went to more. This was just a tad light for me, which resulted in me putting a tad more sriracha and chili sauce lol. Meat had a nice pink color and good thickness and consistency. There was some noodle that clumped together weirdly in one spot. Definitely a place I would never come back to not because of the food but because of the horrible, discriminatory, and hostile environment. The older woman who was there was very rude and not only did she miss items on our order (egg rolls) but didn't bring us bean sprouts for our pho. I've been to a lot of pho spots, and this place is a hidden gem and needs to be talked about more! You might miss it if you're not trying to map it or underestimate it because of where it's located. It's right next to Carnival in this small little plaza that I've never noticed before. But I saw it had high ratings so finally tried it. The service was great, the staff was friendly, & attentive. We got Rangoons spring rolls and rare beef pho. I usually don't like spring rolls but the sauces they which I think are made in house were really good! Most pho tends to have and overall similar flavor but There was a ton of flavor in this broth. It was really good! Overall the restaurant is well stocked , clean, and well kept. First time came here the pho was a 4/10 with darker more salty broth that is not up to my standards for pho in SD. This time wanted to try the Banh Mi. Decent sandwich although they shorted the meat. It was mostly Baguette and Jalapeños with some BBQ Pork. To be fair it wasnt that bad in terms of flavor. Where they screwed me is I have a short lunch break and they seemingly lost the ticket or just forgot my sandwich. Sat down at 12. Sandwich hit the the table at 1245. Looked around the room they had 3 other tables and maybe 4-5 take out orders during that time. I dont expect service at a pho restaurants but I generally dont expect to wait for 45 min for a BBQ pork sandwich either. Was craving pho and found this place on yelp. Free private parking in front. I got the large special pho and I always add meat ball. I also got a banh mi and mango smoothie with boba. I love the pho here. I have eaten in and have taken out. Both options food is delicious and warm. Size or portions are always the same. I love the at home feeling. Customer service will not dazzle you whatsoever BUT they've got the best pho ever- robust broth, lots of meat and garnish, al dente noodles. They have a lovely lemongrass chili oil that is out of this world when added into the pho. Spring rolls are on point also. 10/10 Pho joint! read more

I ordered a #4 and didn't receive all the protein listed and they forgot my water. I didn't want to complain because it was minor. However, I felt I needed to write a real review since the first review used an AL photo with a five star review. It's pretty low key and quiet and parking is easily found in the shopping center. The lovely aroma of the broth is evident when you step inside and the service is good.
