The menu isn't overwhelming like some Vietnamese restaurants, but it still offers a nice variety of dishes. We ordered their ribs pho, the filet mignon rice dish, grilled meat and rice vermicelli and also tried their special Thai tea and slow-dripped Vietnamese coffee. The food was prepared well, the portions were satisfying, and the prices were very reasonable. There's also plenty of parking, making it an easy place to visit. A special shoutout to Chris, the new owner, who was incredibly welcoming and accommodating. It's clear that customer service is a priority here. I also appreciated the thoughtful touch of giving little kids a complimentary treat from the house. A friend chose this place for us to catch-up and have her belated birthday dinner. It was highly recommended to her. We were promptly seated in a booth. I ordered a chicken bahn mi and my friend ordered the pork bahn mi. When our order came, the bahn mi sandwiches were in a small plastic basket that was sticky and dirty, lined with parchment paper, separating the sandwich from the plastic basket. I ate one half of my sandwich, just has my friend finished her entire sandwich (I was talking a lot). Just as I was going to pick up the second half, I notice a piece of hair sticking out. I pulled out the long hair. I couldn't eat any of it. I pushed it aside. The gentleman who took our order didn't come back to check on us after dropping off our order. First off, cheers to Cris and the new management! What was already a great local spot for a quick meal has become a place we genuinely look forward to visiting again. Lots of the negative reviews on here was from the previous management and their customer service. They've kept the same menu, but the service is night and day compared to before. I'm not sure if their son took over or what changed exactly, but the atmosphere feels completely different in the best way. The pho has always been solid, but the bún thịt nướng is my go to and something I highly recommend. All of the sauces here are housemade. Try their house Thai Tea! They've mentioned it's freshly brewed every morning. Their Vietnamese iced coffee is traditional style slow dripped. Great atmosphere, great food, and, most importantly, best service. Stopped in here today after shopping in the strip mall nearby and grabbed a mango with boba smoothie and a taro smoothie to go. Both were super delicious especially on a warm day it was a nice treat. The inside is super clean, and the gentleman that helped us was really nice and welcomed us with a smile. Only reason I'm giving 4 stars is because we had to wait so long for our drinks. There were only 2 other people eating in the restaurant and one lady was getting frustrated because she was waiting for her check for some time. This has been a favorite place of ours for a few years now, but sadly, due to some dietary restrictions, we haven't been here for six months. When our anniversary came and it was an opportunity to cheat just a little on our diet, of all places, this was our go to. It was great to see the familiar face of our regular waiter as we came through the door. So you can imagine how concerned we were when he told us it was under new management, with a new cooking staff. He reassured us that it was even better than before, but it was already our top choice so that was hard to believe. Then he said it was the same prices and even a discount. Now we were really worried. But he was right! The food went from very good to amazing! We got vermicelli rice with beef and with pork and egg rolls. And it was amazing. More juicy, more flavorful than ever before. You could taste the flavor of the fresh grilling. We even got to meet the new owner (and chef). The man working helped 4-5 to-go customers while completely ignoring both myself and another table, who looked equally befuddled at the process and service. When the server finally did acknowledge my existence, I asked if they had sweet and sour sauce to eat with salad rolls because I have a peanut allergy. He said they did not have sweet and sour, I asked him to remove them from my order. He brought them anyway, with peanut sauce. Also ordered the small fillet pho, for around $18, and they weren't kidding. It was literally the smallest bowl of pho I have ever been served, about 1/3 the size of a small pho anywhere else. STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE! Horrible customer service. Dirty restaurant. The old man that takes orders and serves doesn't know anything about customer service. He first got upset because my kids couldn't stay still and were playing with a pair of wooden chopsticks as we were waiting for food. When the food came out, I asked him for a bowl and he brought me a dirty one. I kindly asked him if he could exchange it and he did looking mad. He brought me a second plate that was even dirtier (greasy and with black stuff). He made me feel uncomfortable asking him for another one but I wasn't going to use a dirty one to serve my kids on. When I told him about it he took the plate very mad and finally brought me a clean one. He didn't even look embarrassed for bringing me dirty bowls. It made me question the cleanliness of the restaurant as a whole. Later I asked him for lemons as he was passing by and he didn't acknowledge me. I said "Sir" louder and he continued to walk away. I gave him the benefit of the doubt not knowing if he had heard me. He then brought me some lemons so I realized he purposely did not acknowledge me. Later I came to look at the reviews and noticed so many bad reviews about him. I'm never coming back to this location. Me and my father have been going to this location for years, if you asked me a week ago I would have said it was awesome never a bad experience but unfortunately now I can not say that. My cousin came to visit with her kid so we all collectively agreed to go together pho, my mother, father, sister cousin, her son and I.
