Stopped in this casual sit down dining option tonight for dinner with my extended family. The small interior is a combination of tables and booths (mostly set up for 4-6 persons but some of the tables can be pushed together for larger parties like ours). You will order at your table with a server and they bring the food to your table but you will pay at a counter in the back. All of your condiments and utensils are on the table in caddies. Our server took our order efficiently and brought us waters but I had to take a water back bc it had some unknown object in it. We ordered bun (vermicelli noodle bowls), brisket pho, fried rice (chicken and beef), spring rolls and chili chicken wings. All of the food was well cooked and flavorful but came out piece meal with some food coming out well ahead of others. My pho was very flavorful and the broth was very pleasant and smooth. Came here for the first time today and the pho was so delicious and nourishing. The broth was incredibly flavorful and the service was so quick and friendly. I got the brisket pho and it was definitely one that would bring me back to coming to get it again. My favorite food here is their Pho, which is always on point! Delicious in every sense of the word! My daughter just brought home take out for two chicken pho. Got home and the soup was all at the bottom of the one bag. They had wrapped the cups of soup in paper towels and laid them in their side on top of the condiments. Soup had spoiled out of both liquid containers and was pooled in bottom of the singular take out bag. Why such lazy packaging for take out! One bag for liquid containers to stand UPRIGHT. Separate bag for dry condiments. We now have two trays of condiments with dry noodles and no soup base. If it had been properly packaged, the rating would be a 4 out of five. I served 20 years in the Navy and spent a lot of time in ports throughout Southeast Asia. Though many Asian-themed restaurants serve food that is more of a fusion style, this restaurant is unapologetically authentic Vietnamese. Servings offer generous portions. The vegetables are very fresh and cooked to perfection. Food arrives steaming hot, the vegetables cooked through yet still crisp and satisfying. It was a big bowl and we did not finish it. The broth is milder than i am used to. Also, i wish the noodles were blanched first. This keeps the broth hotter longer. It seemed the noodles used were cold. 6 out 10 stars 2. Grilled Pork w plain Rice. I am used to eating broken rice with Viet dishes. It is a lot stickier than what they served here. The grilled pork are shaved really thin with a good balance of some fat. Then covered with crispy garlic chips. Accompanied with jullianed cucumber and thin tomato slices. The pork is good. 7 out of 10 stars. Note: i have been eating Pho for twenty years. My standard is Pho79 in Virginia Beach. They serve Pho with an intense beefy broth. Fast and friendly service, and the pho is terrific. There's another place in town that has good pho, but it's way salty, and the wait times are really long. Pho Viet is convenient to Forest, but worth the drive from anywhere else in the area. And the big screen digital photos are nice to view when you dine in. read more

I've been to quite a few Vietnamese restaurants across the southeast and I have to say that this is one of the best, if not the best, Vietnamese restaurant I've been to. My go to order is bun bo hue or as they call it spicy beef noodle soup. It is a generous portion of flavorful broth, especially with the chill oil they provide. Additionally, the portion of meat is far more than average. I also love the fried rice they offer. My favorite is the pork fried rice but you can't go wrong with any of them. I would highly recommend trying Pho Viet out regardless of whether you are a seasoned pho enjoyer or you simply want something different.
