Food has always been amazing every time I've come here, the service is very good with what they have, usually there's only about 1 server for the whole restaurant but everything still comes out good read more

Cuisine: 6 Service: 5 Decor: 6 Value: 7 Overall: 6 Love finding some traditional Asian cuisine in this part of the country. Though the broth does not have the depth of what I'm use to, their soup base still provided that familiar flavor I was seeking. The beef was just okay, while the pho noodles were the typical dry noodle type. Nothing special, but honestly not bad. I would return when I really need something Asian while in South Carolina. read more

This was a pleasant surprise. I didn't expect to find any good Vietnamese restaurant in 5 Points. The pho was amazing and the prices weren't absurd (I will say that the $1 charge for chili oil is very odd but it doesn't break the bank). The broth and quality of meat is superior compared to other Vietnamese restaurants I've gotten to try so far. The service was simple and effective. The server didn't speak much and got right to the point. The restaurant itself feels very old school for an Asian restaurant. Not a bad thing at all if you are going for the more early 2010s vibe. Overall pretty great atmospherically. read more

Nice authentic Vietnamese spot located in 5 points. My coworkers have been here a few times and liked it so I decided to join them today for lunch. Menu is varied, with noodle. Rice and vermicelli options available. I almost ordered double meat with my Bbq pork and shrimp dish but I didn't and I realized I didn't have to because the dish came nice and meaty the way I like my dishes. I really enjoyed the meal and will be back again. read more

This place is probably one of the worse Vietnamese places I've eaten at. To start off, I asked for hot tea, it never came. Then the fish sauce lacked flavor. It was just salty fish sauce mixed with water and a little chili. No lime, sugar, or garlic. Then the spring rolls that came with vermicelli were horrible. They came straight from a frozen box you find in frozen section of an Asian market. The over all flavor of this place is terrible. I guess don't expect good Vietnamese food in South Carolina. read more

Smh. Another sad dining experience. Joel said- we should have known when we walked in, and the place was empty, lol. We ordered some of our favorite Vietnamese dishes, but they completely missed the mark on both dishes: Our pork was extremely dry. I sent mine back, but when they brought a new side order- it had no flavor. I also discovered that my Noodle bowl was just full of lettuce. I ate 3 bites and left it, even though we paid for it. Joel was just upset about his dish. It just didn't have any flavor, which is against the rules in vietnamese cooking. Columbia, I'm new to the area, and I need you all to help me out- or I'm only going to be eating in my kitchen!! read more

As a Californian, the pho here was surprisingly delicious! I always love a good bowl of pho during the colder season so I'm glad the taste was better than I had expected. The Thai tea tasted so good too! The service was great and I appreciate they were able to serve the food at a timely manner! I enjoyed this location! read more

This is the saddest excuse of a Vietnamese restaurant I have ever been to. It's frankly dishonest to call it Vietnamese. We got the spring rolls and the egg rolls and the peanut sauce and nuoc mam that accompanied them were not authentic. The peanut sauce was straight peanut sauce, and the 'nuoc mam' tastes like a mixer of vinegar, franks hot sauce, and water. Safe to say I will not be returning to this location. The location on Two Notch is the only pho viet I will be visiting. read more

Had a lot of what they called "tendons" in my broth, very distasteful and texturally unappealing . The noodles were pre-cooked and over cooked. Just a massive blob of noddles that was hard to separate. I watched others pull out massive chunks of noodles, not the standard style. Had a few bites and the tendons were just so displeasing and bountiful . Went to pay , because no one check on me and was told at the register that "next time I tell them". They could've look at it as the food was still out. Paid full price and went somewhere else for lunch. read more

Vegetable Spring rolls with tofu in rice pepper with peanut sauce was excellent. We also had the vegetable soup which was good in that there was a lot of fresh veggies in it. I found the broth to be kind of blah, lacking something...Maybe lemongrass, ginger? Beyond that, the soup was still very good. The service was prompt and attentive. The restaurant itself is in an older building and in need of some sprucing up but the tables were kept clean. read more

The service was great but I wouldn't recommend this place for the price you pay! I got pho and spring rolls. The broth was good however nothing to rave about and they barely gave me any meat and they are skimpy on the garnishes that you add to the pho(they only gave me one slice of the lime and the bean sprouts were slimy and brown). As for the spring rolls they added way too much noodle and again skimped out on the other ingredients. I've been to this place multiple times in 2018-2019 and it was not like this before. Maybe it was a bad day but I paid too much for the quality of food I got. read more

Food was great. Place is a little dingy, but I like that. I had their spring rolls, which were very nicely tightly rolled (thinner than usual but they gave 6 instead of 2 or 3), and their #14 rare steak and brisket. The pho broth itself had a good flavor, but I found it to be a little mild instead of the nice deep flavor you can get from pho sometimes with the golden oil that rises to the top. The noodles were the right kind for pho. The waiter was friendly. This is a nice family owned shop. I would definitely come here again. While it did not "blow me away," I had a very nice time and the pho was great to settle my stomach and make me happy. I definitely recommend. read more

I went to pho viet for lunch and ordered the beef pho with rare steak and extra beef balls. The service was pretty fast, and the portions are big. The beef balls were a little rubbery but still tasted good. I ate the raw jalapeños that came on the side and accidentally got some on my lips. I did not think I would survive, but somehow I soldiered on to finish my huge helping of pho. The interior of this place is casual if not a tiny bit divey. It seems clean, though, and doesn't detract from the overall experience. I will definitely be going back to pho viet. Good pho is hard to find around here! read more

I'm an avid pho eater and it's one of my favorite soups on the world. That being said, I wasn't too impressed with the #10 beef combo pho I got for takeout. All of the toppings and the noodles were stuffed into a styrofoam container, the fresh spring rolls I got were a little tough to eat and the peanut sauce wasn't good. The broth was tasty but very greasy. I'm not sure what the typical serving size is but I only received 3 small pieces of the flank steak and I was under the impression that this soup came with the beef balls, but there were none. And there is no details explaining what comes in the soup. Maybe It tastes better eating it in person but I was disappointed. If I'm down in Columbia again, I'll give it another try. read more

Every pho place I go to I tend to get the "House special" or whatever they call it. Sometimes they're iffy and sometimes it turns out good, this is one of the good ones! Everything I've had here has been pretty good! The only thing that wasn't was that the limes and other veggies my friend got were mushy and the limes had clearly gone bad. Hello 2021!! Giving this place a sold 3.5 for all the reasons below. This wasn't my first 2021 place I ate at but I'm glad I gave this place a try. We were on our way home from Rock Hill this past Sunday. We had a late night and woke up hungry and a bit hung over but had to get on the road back home. We actually ended up here because the other pho viet who advertised they opened at 10 wasn't! Ok let's get to the restuarant and food! Place is located in the Five Points area in Columbia. The sign for the restaurant due to cursive writing is a bit hard to read so you could miss it. This restaurant is street facing, with street parking. Place was pretty empty when we walked in but that's because we were the first customers! Host was nice, told us to sit v wherever we wanted. There is only 1 size bowl for pho! Don't freak out though if you're a pho lover like me. The bowl is a good size and the portion is great! They give you plenty of noodles and meat. The broth was good. It's on the lighter side but still good. We don't have any complaints. We also got the spring rolls. It was fresh and sauce was fine. Big place, nice people working there, 8 dollar a bowl, great portions; go try this place out if you're in Columbia and want some vietnamese food! Owners keep your prices and your portions! Best prices I've seen since moving to South Carolina! read more

Been living in columbia for a little over a year now and this location is hands down the best to get some authentic Vietnamese food. Located in the heart of five points in downtown Columbia, this place is not a hole in the wall kind of restaurant, but parking can be difficult pending time of day. Plenty of spacious seating and staff are professional and knowledgable of the menu. In terms of cleanliness, I'd give it a 3 out of 5, but the aesthetics and set up is fairly not much different than other Vietnamese restaurants I've been to. I got the spring rolls and the rare steak bowl known as number 11. It wasn't oily and the meat was tender; couldn't complain! Their menu is definitely broad with a variety of noodle and rice dishes to choose from. They also have a drink menu with a small selection of smoothies and boba tea. The coffee was strong and sweet if you're into that. Overall amazing dining experience and I definitely will be back again! read more

Ok, so I came back to this place as promised and once again, I was very satisfied! The same friend who took me here the last time met me here for lunch. This time, we both ordered the same thing: the sautéed beef and vegetables over yellow noodles. When the food came out in a timely fashion, it was steaming hot and the saucy aroma filled the air. I was ready to dig in! When I did, I noticed it had a lot of good flavor in it, but the only mishap was the beef. The texture of the beef was very dry and lean, so it almost crumbled as oppose to melted in your mouth. I know, as a cook myself, that this type of beef can be tricky to sautée, but as a paying customer who wants some good meat to my meal, I expect it to be cooked right. With that said, I will probably try a different protein next time around. However, the service was great once again and we were both greeted immediately as we sat ourselves down at an open table. read more

The food tastes wonderful! I love their pho and spring rolls. Their meat to noodles to broth ratio is good most of the time. It depends on what day and time you get there where the chef may skimp. I give this only 3 stars because the service and cleanliness suck. They waiters are so busy playing games on their phones that they don't see the crumbs and other food particles on the tables and chairs. I had to ask the waiter to bring me a wet rag to clean the table myself! They hardly ever come to my table to check up on me too. Why am I, the customer, cleaning their table? read more
