Not a bad place to get your traditional Vietnamese fix in. Service was quick and the venue has a great seating plus the sun illuminates the dining room perfectly in the early evening. Had the banh Bao and was rather disappointed. Meat was not as savoury as I'd like it and the egg shows signs of it being microwaved. Bun rieu was delicious though. Nice to see some still using the blood cubes. Definitely reminded me of mom's cooking since I'm not home. Also did an order of their pho dac biet for take out, seemed kinda light for the beef but maybe I'll have to dine in and see if there's a difference. Nice that they had fresh noodles but be aware there's a 75cent up charge for it.

Absolutely loved the vibes here! We were seated right as we walked in and they promptly got our orders as well. I loved that the tables were spaced out so you can hear everyone in your party talking. Food was amazing. This is definitely one of the best Vietnamese soup restaurants in the area! It's well seasoned and portions were just right.

I loveeeee love loveee this place. And my daughter is in love even more! She loves their pho, very flavorful with no toppings added! We literally come here once every other week! Definitely regulars at this point ! they deserve all the success! And I love how they have an option of adding oxtail becuase a lot of pho places in KC don't have that .

I was disappointed. The prices on here are very old. And the menu was lacking. Other than that the decorations were lovely

I liked it! The atmosphere was very nice and so were the owner and employees. My pho came out pretty good

Been here quite a few times now and it's easily one of my favorite Vietnamese places in KC. It's in the Northland which is great for me as it's a very short commute. Everything I've tried here has always been fresh and delicious. The service is also great. The staff is always friendly and attentive. The bun bo hue, com ga xoi mo, rice dishes, vermicelli bowls are all super yummy. One of my favorite dishes from this place that I haven't seen at other Vietnamese places around town is the xoi man. The rice is sticky and soft and goes well with the lap xuong. I highly recommend trying it if you never had it! Looking forward to going here again soon!

Very Clean restaurant and wait staff The Pho had a tasty broth and a variety of beef cuts along with tendon, tripe, and meatball Should also try the Hu Tieu, very underrated and everyone should try do not let the pig heart deter you it is so good. Girlfriend switched to this instead of pho because of how good it is.

We have been here a number of times but brought it home to eat it. Which was very good but food is always usually better when you eat at the place. So we did tonight and honestly either way it's so good. I think this is officially our favorite place for Pho. We would drive downtown to get Pho usually and they're good but not this good. The broth is drinkable it's so flavorful. I had the small steak Pho bowl and my husband got the vermicelli pork and loves it. Daughter and friend got Chicken Noodle Pho and loved it so much. Broth for this was very good as well where normally she leaves all the broth. Not so today. Again everything is so flavorsome and fresh with nice portion sizes. We also had the fresh spring rolls, very tasty and has the shrimp in them too. The peanut sauce is one of the best in town. If you like traditional Vietnamese this is definitely the place to go. People who run or own it are very friendly and kept our glasses full and plentiful. Highly recommend.

Went here for lunch last week with a friend of mine. We started with spring rolls and crab rangoons, we really enjoyed both. My friend got the pho and the broth was delicious and full of flavor. I had the rice noodle bowl with pork and egg rolls. Their fish sauce had a slight spicy kick to it and I loved it. Service was lacking, but it's a quick bite. Almost forgot, their tea is SO good. We'll come back.

A great local Vietnamese place in Little Saigon. It's obvious in the name so I had to get the Pho. The flavor was 10/10. The staff was so friendly and always make sure to check up on us. I would definitely recommend checking them out if you're ever craving Pho!!

Ohmypho! This place is legit! If you want an authentic bowl of pho, then here is your go-to place. Reminds me of my mom's pho. Pho bowl comes in different size, and they have two different types of noodles. I usually get medium with fresh noodles. I can never ffinish size medium, so this time, I decided to go with small. Honestly, it was the perfect amount of food for me. Lots of broth, noodles, and meat, but $2 cheaper. The aunties servers are super sweet and gives off family vibes. I would eat here every week if I could. Go get some pho at this place and enjoy!!

The restaurant was very nice--tastefully decorated with authentic touches that felt intentional and refined. The large canvas artwork added character without overwhelming the space. It struck a perfect balance: elegant but comfortable. The staff was attentive, welcoming, and knowledgeable about the menu. They were patient and accommodating, especially with our little one, which always makes a difference when dining out with family. We started with the sampler platter, which included fresh spring rolls, crispy spring rolls, and a variety of other traditional bites. Everything was prepared well--the fresh rolls were vibrant and clean tasting, while the crispy rolls had a satisfying crunch without being greasy. For entrées, my wife ordered the Vietnamese pork chop with the perfectly runny egg over broken rice. The pork was well-seasoned and cooked just right, and that egg brought everything together beautifully. I ordered the Bánh Mì and a bowl of pho. The pho had the perfect level of spice--balanced, aromatic, and comforting. The broth had depth, and you could tell it was crafted with care. The Bánh Mì was equally impressive; the baguette was toasted just right--crispy on the outside, soft on the inside--holding all the flavors together without overpowering them. What truly stands out is that Broken Rice delivers this level of quality without being overly expensive. It's a great value for authentic, well-executed Vietnamese cuisine. And most importantly--our niece enjoyed herself too, which says a lot. I would absolutely recommend Broken Rice to anyone looking for a satisfying, authentic dining experience in a warm and welcoming atmosphere

This place is a little mom and pop shop that was very welcoming from the time I walked in. I was greeted by an older gentleman who possibly could have been one of the owners- he welcomed me immediately and was very hospitable, helping me navigate their menu which had a good variety of rice, noodles and soup plus plenty of appetizers. They also sold a lot of Asian groceries; coffee, ramen and even clothes. You could tell the restaurant had been there a while and there seemed to be a lot of regulars; I could tell from the conversations they had with the owners/workers. The waiter, I believe was also one of the owners who was an older lady but very busy cleaning, waiting and maneuvering around the restaurant. She was also very friendly and apologized about the delay and said there wasn't many people who wanted to work these days, so she was the one doing most things. I didn't think they took longer than any other restaurant- I got charbroiled chicken with rice and pickled veggies and a side of egg rolls. The chicken was really good and very flavorful and hit the spot for my Vietnamese craving! I would definitely try this place again when I return. Plus I'd buy some grocery because not many Asian groceries available in the town where my family lives.

Both came out fresh and hot. The banh mi was flavorful and packed with meat, jalapenos and pickled veggies. They did not skimp on the ingredients. It was a nice portion. Not too big or too small and the bread was soft and warm but still had a nice crunch. The pork egg rolls were also quite good and came out super hot. Wish there was a little bit more meat in them but still very flavorful. The only con is the restaurant was super hot inside. I think their AC is busted because they had a fan turned on instead. Just something to be aware of if you visit anytime soon!

Seafood pho is standard. Broth is warmth, with lemon it gives the sour and rich flavor. Noodles are thin and good texture. I wish there's a little bit more seafood in there (some imitation crab meat, small fish balls, 2 shrimps). But the price is very friendly. The portion definitely reflects the price. Spring rolls and fried shrimp are not bad. But again, smaller size. For quick comfort food with lower price, this restaurant can be a good choice. Staff is friendly.
