We've been coming here once a week for a couple of months now and it's our favorite. Tried the one in Lihue but had horrible service. This place has friendly service and my fiancé is a pretty hard sell on customer service. He loves this place. The gentleman already knows our order and confirms it once we walk in the door. We got 2 to-go tofu veg pho. I didnt think you could ever go wrong with a veggie broth but... I really wonder if they just used hot water instead of broth? Zero flavoring, like nothing. I really enjoy my Pho on Oahu. Being on Kauai for a few days, my friend and I went to Pho Kauai for dinner after looking around for a place to eat. The restaurant is pretty standard as far as decor goes for a Vietnamese restaurant. I picked my Pho and we shared a sandwich. The prices here are consistent with the prices on Oahu, $9.95 for a pho. First thing I noticed when my bowl of streaming hot pho, was that the portion was smaller. The meatballs were smaller, my rare streak was smaller and less pieces, and the sandwich was smaller too. Taste. Delicious. The soup was very tasty and I enjoyed it very much. The sandwich, teriyaki chicken Vietnamese style was very good. The French bread tasted homemade, crisp outside but nice and chewy inside. The staff was really nice, no complaints. If you're looking for a good pho, Pho Kauai will satisfy. read more

I was craving pho so I figure I try this place. My first impression was that it was so clean and inviting. The service was prompt. I ordered the pho with meat balls and rare sliced beef. First thing, was to taste that wonderful broth before adding anything to it. It was delicious! A smiling kupuna offered me green tea with lotus, that too was delicious. This was a wonderful bowl of Pho, in a very clean family run, family style restaurant. Service was polite as can be, friendly, and genuine. We all had the pho and a side of teribeef. Tired of any sorta of fish tacos. Pleasantly surprised. Our service here was non stop awesome and we were well attended to (better than our experience at the Kilohana Plantation). I ordered Pho to-go and the gentleman who took my order was very friendly and sweet. Coming from Portland I have high standards for Pho an I have to say this was pretty good. The broth was tasty, the noodles were soft. The meat was as expected though less pieces than I am accustomed to. The bowl overall was a big portion and enough to split with my partner. I had the house fried rice which is supposed to have shrimp, chicken, and beef in it...overall flavor was pretty good...but there was absolutely no beef in the dish...I had ordered it to go so there was nothing I could do. Ordered Pho with Rare Beef (#10). Only got three thin slices of beef that were well done. The broth was decent, but $10 for three thin slices of beef, broth and noodles is not worth it. According to my friend, his banh mi tasted like a dry hand job. I had to try it. Because I was curious. And starving. I was starving because I sent my food back. I ordered a bunh bowl with spring rolls and requested tofu instead of meat. Pretty simple. The girl working told me that she would ring it up as a veggie tofu stir fry with an added spring roll. What I got was a pile of over cooked and mushy vermicelli with a tiny handful of veggies thrown on top and some barely cooked and unseasoned cubed tofu thrown in. And a tiny mushy egg roll on the side. So back to the banh mi. The veggies on it weren't pickled. The bread was rock hard and burned. Really, all I could taste were the jalapeños. Which is fine. I like jalapeños. But that sandwich was by no means a banh mi. I'm a girl so I'll have to take his word for it about the handjob. read more

Delicious Pho! After a blustery morning spent on the beach we went in search of something soothing and light for lunch. The restaurant was an easy walking distance from our hotel and had a steady, if sparse, lunch crowd and several takeout customers. The shrimp summer rolls were served with a delicious peanut sauce and there were plenty of other condiments to enjoy on the table including a sweet soy sauce and Sriracha. My husband had teriyaki beef and enjoyed the homemade chili oil and chili garlic sauce. My chicken Pho was delicious although next time I'll stick with a seafood choice for my protein (just a personal preference, the chicken was shredded and good). The broth was savory and spiced nicely and was served with a hearty portion of Thai basil, bean sprouts, jalapeños and lemon wedges. Our service was prompt and friendly, the restaurant was clean and the only distraction was the constant play of '80's love songs. Unfortunately there aren't many pho places on the island but we decided to give this place a try since it wasn't too far way from our hotel. I must say that the pho is below average. It reminded me of those instant noodle packages. It wasn't horrible but definitely not something I would rave to my friends about. The server was very nice and asked us how Kauai pho compares to Seattle pho. I didn't have the heart to tell him that I wasn't impressed with his pho.
