This place was a huge disappointment. The staff was friendly and welcoming, but unfortunately, the food was some of the worst I've had. I feel bad for the locals if this is considered the best pho on the island. We ordered the pho, bún bò Huế, vermicelli, and a few boba drinks, and every single item was disappointing. The broths were bland and lacked the clean, rich flavor that good Vietnamese soup should have. The vermicelli dish was equally underwhelming. The boba drinks tasted like they were made from powdered mix rather than fresh ingredients, and the boba pearls were overcooked to the point of being mushy, with no chewy texture at all. I honestly didn't enjoy anything we ordered. It's rare for me to dislike every item at a restaurant, but this was one of those experiences. I won't be returning.

We came around 2:30 p.m. on a Sunday right after flying in and were looking for something warm and soupy. The space is big and spacious with simple decor. It's located in the same shopping area as the Safeway in Kapaa, so it's easy to find. The menu is pretty standard for a pho spot. We ordered the chicken pho and bun bo hue. Prices are definitely higher than on the mainland (about $5-10 more), which I guess is expected for Kauai since I'm sure they have to import most of the stuff. The food came out within 5 mins or so. The bun bo hue was a bit non-traditional -- oxtail instead of pig trotter, no blood cake, and thin noodles instead of the usual thicker ones. The broth was pretty average, if albeit salty. The oxtail was super fatty. The broth wasn't hot enough to cook the meat slices. Average experience. It satisfied the need but likely won't come here again.

Great service per my wife as we do take out here. The pho was good but not comparable to Oahu or California. The price was inline with all the other Vietnamese places. Overall a solid place for Vietnamese food with great service!

A quaint little pho restaurant located in a strip mall with playing parking. The staff here are very friendly. The portion size is a bit small for the price. I ordered the Pho Combination. They do provide a generous portion of basil and bean sprouts though! Overall, a decent place to eat.

Had a serious craving for Pho with a sore throat on a rainy Kauai evening and I couldn't have been happier with our selection! My chicken Pho was so tasty and the broth was spot on. The staff were so nice and even brought our toddler a comp mango cake at the end of our meal. Highly recommend this cute spot!

Great spot for a cold, windy day. The soup was good and full of flavor, and the food came out quickly. We arrived at 7:45 pm on a Sunday, they are open until 8:30 pm. We received our food before 8:00 pm which was nice as we were definitely hungry. The staff was friendly and helpful. There's also a good amount of dine-in seating available, which is nice since it's close and right in the heart of Kapaa town. My son had no complaints about his fried rice (which he order with no vegetables of course). And I really enjoyed the summer rolls and peanut sauce--came with 2 rolls, and it was fresh. My husband & daughter ordered the #10: Rare Steak Noodle Pho, which they savored & devoured every last bit. We do wish the soup portions were a little larger, especially because we really enjoyed our Pho. Overall this is our favorite Kauai Pho spot. Check it out, hope you like it too!

While the service was good, the $25.99 Bun Bo Hue was not. It was bland and they already included the vegetables to make it look full. The meats were same as the combination pho except for the added oxtail. I have eaten many Bun Bo Hue in my life and this one was at the bottom. There might be a food safety issue as well. I am sitting in my car with the view of the kitchen. The server is using his unwashed ungloved hands to make the vegetables for the pho.

I haven't been back since the new year. New prices. I tried a new dish and wasn't impressed - the fried rice. Their pho has always been good, but I haven't tried it in a few months.

Stopped by Pho Kapaa and really enjoyed the pho. The broth was hot, flavorful, and came out super fast -- still steaming when it hit the table. Nothing better than a piping hot bowl of soup. Service was quick and efficient. I'd consider coming back next time I'm in the area.

Kiddos were missing their noodle soups and Pho Kapaa is located close to our hotel. Arrived at around 7:30pm, and we got there right before a line started to form. Hubs ordered the Bun bo Hue which definitely had a kick. Mom ordered the oxtail pho and noted the broth was flavorful but the oxtail pieces were quite fatty and not a lot of meat. Kiddo ordered pho with the rare beef and ate it all up. I ordered the pho with duck - it was ok. Would've liked more duck slices and bamboo shoots. Note - 25% gratuity added for parties of 6 or more. This caught us a little off guard - 20% may be common, but 25%?!?

Great authentic Vietnamese food in Kapa'a. Not fancy or expensive. Food is good. If you're looking for Vietnamese fair I recommend it.

It's not too spicy and is packed with flavor. I put it on everything. This location in Wai'anae can be pretty busy on the weekend but it's worth the wait, if there is one. Occasionally I come during the week and it is a little calmer. The inside is big and open and has plenty of seating for large families. The service is always good. The food is always consistent and delicious. The broth is my favorite on the westside. Just the right amount of spices. I haven't tried the meat toppings, maybe I will eventually. The tempura veggies is a new fav of mine. The gyoza is stuffed full, perfectly crispy and well flavored. Their spring rolls are crispy light and delicious. I'm gonna order that steak next time for real! Each time I come someone orders it and it smells so good, come sour sizzling and turning everyone's head when it comes out of the kitchen.
