This place is food for the soul. If you've never had pho before, you don't know what you're missing. Seriously, that stuff fills in the gaps in your soul. Especially if you had too much to drink the night before. read more

I had a review in drafts for over a year so I thought I would finish it. Pho Cafe is the original pho restaurant in Wilmington. Other than the teeny tiny restaurants itself the food is superb! Their pho is amazing and their banh mi are spectacular! The menu is somewhat smaller than other pho places but it is great for take out. read more

Ordered chicken pho. Was impressed, because many pho joints don't carry anything but beef. The broth was very flavorful. Amount of noodles quite generous. Kind of light on the green onions. When I asked for more, they said I could only get onions mixed with cilantro. The unassuming restaurant was small but quite busy through late lunch. read more

One star for service. What a toxic environment. Everyone that worked there seemed unhappy, grumpy, and just plan mean. Beef pho was alright and the spring rolls were thin. Hey people, your patrons need good food and a good environment! It's a package to keep your business thriving! read more

The restaurant was a solid, "meh". I'm a huge fan of Pho, but the broth in the beef pho was thin and bland; It's also a little strange to not offer lime as one of the added ingredients - this coupled with a grand total of two small pieces of jalapeño made it seem like the food wasn't important to the restaurant. The spring rolls were slightly better, but clumsily wrapped. I may give them another chance, but there were a lot of negatives for me to believe this was a one-off experience. read more

I use to be the cashier here. Ive read alot of these reviews and people want to fuss and complain about how "rude" certain people are but you arent the one actually there in that establishment busting your butt each day. The owners are very hard workers and just want the best for their company and their customers. I miss working there. I had to leave due to my health at the time but id love to work there again. And the food is wonderful to me ad well as the general ambiance of the establishment. read more

They should rename this place, "PHO ATTITUDE." The "manager" who is actually the owner, is so ridiculously rude to customers, it's truly amazing. He used the word "shit" four times while he spoke with my wife, and he uses and abuses his staff and disrespects his customers. He forgot what its like to be a kind, caring person, a businessman, and someone who takes pride in serving food and being pleasant. I think he may have been hit in the head with a heavy bowl of Pho. I wish them the best. Its only a matter of time before the door closes. Me and my family won't be back. read more

This place doesn't look like much from the outside...just a hole in the wall in a rundown strip of shops. But the pho is to die for! The fresh spring rolls are great too. read more

For me personally, this is a pretty mediocre place, i've had much better pho. There are pro's and con's to this place, the pro's would be 1. I got my food very quickly, maybe 10 minutes after ordering. 2. It was only $24 for 2 bowls of the beef and meatball pho + 2 bobas, which is fantastic, I usually pay $40. 3. It's a very little place, very quite and nice, like a hole in the wall feel. Now the cons would be, 1. The pho broth had very little flavor. 2. The meat and meatballs weren't fresh, the meat was tough and the meatballs had a weird aftertaste. 3. The boba was not good at all, it wasn't fresh either but the fruit teas without boba is pretty decent. So if you're looking for somewhere cheap this is your place but, if you're looking for actual good pho i suggest trying elsewhere. read more

This is most definitely one of my favorite spots in town. There are some days where I crave pho the whole day and Pho Cafe always satisfies my cravings. It's a very small restaurant but the vibe in there is nice. Whenever I go, I get the chicken pho with fresh spring rolls. They also have tea, smoothies, ban mhis(Vietnamese sandwiches), and yummy Vietnamese coffee. I usually eat pho at the restaurant but it's also very great for takeout. The service is pretty good; everything usually comes out fairly quickly. The only downfall is the size of the restaurant. Sometimes it can feel a bit crammed but other than that the size fits the vibe. I love pho cafe and go there so much. If you're ever in the mood for INEXPENSIVE noodles and coffee, go there. read more

This place has been on my list to try for a while. I decided to visit on a Saturday afternoon to check it out. It was fairly busy so I decided to order take out. I chose the chicken and rice since it seemed popular. It takes 20 minutes to cook but was well worth the wait! While waiting, I sat in the restaurant and enjoyed the scene. The restaurant itself is pretty small but there are some tables for those that may want to dine. However it seems most people opt for take out. I can also tell that the boba teas are popular there if that's something you enjoy. Additionally, this place is super affordable. I was able to get an entree and appetizer all for $10. That's a steal! Once my food was ready, I had to try it to make sure it was worth the wait. The chicken was amazing! It is so flavorful and tender. Literally the meat is falling off the bone. It came with a spicy sauce but I didn't think it was needed. Once I got home, I was able to enjoy the entire meal. I really liked the peanut sauce that came with the spring rolls. It had a sweet and sour flare to it. I know this place is known for their pho but I'm glad I opted to try something different. read more

The pho here is Meh, the flavor of the beef broth is just lacking. They do give all the fixings but the actual pho is just ok. The owners of this place are short with customers and rude. We witnessed the owner, I'm assuming yell at a customer because he wanted to change his order. "You have to read Man , you have to tell us what you want". All the guy wanted to do is change his order from fried spring roll to fresh! This place is ok when my favorite place for Pho in Wilmington is closed (Pho Basil). The pho is cheaper but just not as good especially with rude service to paying customers!! read more

Vegan pho was awesome! I added soy sauce and Sriracha to it. Plus Vietnamese coffee was A+

So I've never had pho before. Heard great things. So naturally I got delivery. The thing about pho is you're supposed to add ingredients yourself to the broths. Sure enough Pho Cafe took extra care and time to have all the ingredients separately in a different package from the broth. It was pure heaven! Got the spring rolls too. Usually delivery means it's gonna be over cooked and not good. Can't say enough about what I got and the time they took to make sure it was done right! I'm going there in person today for other stuff on their menu. Can't wait! It's my new love! read more

Best in Wilmington!!!! I get spring rolls and double beef pho every time & am never disappointed.

Pho Cafe is a legit treasure. For a tiny little joint I have always been able to sit down. The Pho is absolutely amazing and the staff is very pleasant. I will never stop dining here. read more

Me and my girlfriend came here to get some food and the toothless lady was extremely unhelpful. We asked for the ice coffee without ice she refused it, we asked if they could strain it out, or even if we could and she still said no. Authoritarianism is so uncool. I asked if i could get vermecilli without egg roll and instead with shrimp and yet again; nope. read more

Amazing Pho. Wonderful Vermicelli. The place is small, consider taking it to go. It was definitely a highly recommended, authentic Vietnamese menu! (I did have a jalapeño that almost took my life with its spiciness, but that's my own darn fault) read more

Pho done right. Delicious bowls with the exact accoutrement they deserve. Tried shaved ice bowl for dessert and loved it. Pleasant owner graciously offered water when it was obvious I went a little heavy on chili oil. Our pho was wonderful and everything looked fantastic--definitely worth a visit, read more

Pho-small. Flavor good. Overall decent for 8 dollars and change. Bahn mi- great! Better than the pho. Service- never been to a pho restaurant where you had to pay ahead. How was I supposed to know how much to tip if I didn't know if there was going to be any sort of service? -tipped none and glad I didn't tip. What's more uncomfortable is the fact that you have to bus your own table. Very typical of Vietnamese service (poor) but this is an all new kind of poor. I'd order bahn mi to go in the future but would never dine in again. Overall food is very decent. Service not so... read more

I love this place. I've been at least three times and always get the chicken pho. The pho comes in a giant bowl - delicious broth, rice noodles and big pieces of tender chicken. A platter piled high with fresh cilantro, jalapeños, and bean sprouts comes on the side. The interior is unassuming but has a good amount of seating. There is a pretty large menu (noodle dishes, curries, Bahn mi, bubble teas) so I definitely need to branch out and try some of their other items too! read more

That we would venture in the Wilmington and get some Pho soup! I got to say this is very good! Very authentic brought a little different since they mix the ingredients into the broth instead of traditional all on the side but flavor is amazing! We will definitely be back! Pretty good for pho but very small place. Nice staff. Wish they had more plant based protein options.

Never taking pleasure in leaving a negative review, I'll TRY and keep it short(er) and sour (as opposed to sweet). 1) this is NOT legitimate PHO. Not by a mile. If you want decent pho in the Wilmington area, PHO BASIL is the only reasonable option. They were closed, and my pregnant wife was asking for pho broth so we had to settle with pho cafe. I grew up in NYC and Cali... ate pho in the Bay area through Garden Grove. I KNOW what pho is supposed to taste like. This isn't it. Hard pass. Only those who don't know what pho is supposed to taste like may give it a pass. 2) The customer service is sub par. The owner is rude, and lacks the basics of 101 customer service. When asked to bring some pho out to a guest arriving a bit late, the answer was "forget what that girl wants... bring it now". Oh really? To cap it off, I was leaving with the soup and asked for a "to go" spoon. The cafe already uses super cheap plastic spoons for general service as opposed to the ceramic or metal spoons legit viet spots use. Jacob (the cashier's) response was, "They sell them for $1 down the road". SUMMARY: BAD/non-traditional PHO (go to Pho Basil for more traditional) and RUBBISH customer service. Couldn't give you a reason to go here. DO BETTER! Ick. read more

Amazing pho and Vietnamese food options. Their boba tea selection is quite extensive. Quick service for takeout or dining in.

This place was cheap and tasty. I went in November 2020 and got carry out. You could not sit down inside. The pickup was set-up right by the front door. I got the banh mi and a bubble tea and both were tasty and inexpensive. I would like to go back and try their Pho. read more

Great place to get a good meal. Something different for wilmington. It's self serve so don't expect much for service but the food is great. I wouldn't worry about not getting table service because you really don't need it in the space of this size. Tired a bunch of different things all good. The veggie spring roll is great too. read more

I was so surprised by the food here! The boyfriend and I went on a Monday night at about 7:45pm for dinner. The first thing we noticed when we walked in was how small it was. There are maybe 7-8 tables and a small window/bar area to sit. You order at the counter and then sit down, and they will bring you your food. All of the ladies behind the counter and the cooking area were super nice. They take turns taking the orders and getting the food ready, so we interacted with two or three of them. I ordered fresh spring rolls (2 in an order) and a beef bahn mi. He ordered the beef pho and a chicken bahn mi. The pho came out first, and a couple of minutes later, my spring rolls came out. His pho was the best tasting pho I've ever had. I'm not a huge fan of it in general, which is why I didn't order it, but I know next time I will! The broth is so flavorful, there was so much beef, and a ton of noodles were in the bottom! It came with a side plate full of things to add to the pho, such as sprouts, cilantro, lime, etc. My spring rolls were huge! There were only two, but they were packed tightly with shrimp and other great, fresh ingredients. After eating them, I was almost too full to eat my meal! The peanut sauce that comes with it made the rolls. So delicious to add! The bahn mi sandwiches were amazing. First of all, they bake their own bread. What?!?! So cool. The sandwiches were such a good size. Way bigger than I'd have thought for $3.75 each. Since they were cut in half already, we shared and each had a half of the chicken and the beef. Be warned-the sandwiches are topped with jalapenos, with the seeds, so they have a kick! Luckily, I looked, and removed some of the toppings before I bit in! The meat is flavorful, I actually liked the chicken one a little more than the beef. I was very impressed with this place. Even at 8pm, people kept coming in! There were lots of to-go orders too. I cannot wait to come back! read more
