Paper menu as of 10/6/24--missing a few new items per staff

First time here and would come back--especially to try other boba drinks. We ordered the Brûlée coffee, which had light coffee flavor but mostly marshmallow-creaminess, and Matcha strawberry, which had subtle matcha flavor mixed with strawberry bits. (Tip: the strawberry jam is pretty sweet so if you're aiming for a modest amount of sweet, choosing 50% sweetness level helps!) Both drinks came with brown sugar boba and were the highest priced drinks at $6.85 (good pricing, with the lowest price at $4.95). For foods: -Pho Tai (aka sliced medium-rare beef pho) where the slices of raw beef are immediately cooked by the hot soup. Broth was flavorful and aromatic, not watered down, not too greasy. It was a little sweet (common for Southern Viet style pho) but not overwhelmingly so. As someone who is used to and prefers non-sweet pho, I would definitely order their pho again. Portion size was decent for $12.50. -Bun Bo Hue (aka lemongrass beef noodle soup on their updated menu) was acceptable and I was disappointed (as someone who is a huge fan of BBH). Not as authentic with all the usual fixings and I think catered more to American tastes, as the flavors were toned down (less lemongrass, spices, fishy umami flavor). Portion size was smaller than expected for the price of $13.99. As something newer on their menu, I am hopeful they'll consider strengthening the flavor in the near future!

The Rotisserie Grilled Chicken with rice with spicy fish sauce and some broth. Very, very yummy!

Food was fresh, the chicken was marinated very well. Everything tasted amazing. Presentation was beautiful. Service was fast and friendly and nice ambience. They surpassed my expectations -- coming from a place where there is a huge vietnamese population and vietnamese restaurants galore, I hadn't found a restaurant in Corpus to match, until I tried this place. Super excited to have great vietnamese food here and can't wait to try their other items on the menu!

Excellent pork chops and rice! Thick cuts with savory, gently sweet fish sauce marinade, perfectly chargrilled to perfection. Looking forward to trying your rotisserie chicken and other dishes! Clean and fast service. Definitely worth a try!

Well, my "dish to compare" is sweet and sour chicken so that's what I ordered. My wife ordered the Shaken Beef. She also wanted some wonton soup. The chicken inside the fried pieces was so shredded it was actually fluffy inside. I guess if your teeth are painful during eating that's a good thing...but it left me...used to eating palpable meat pieces inside the S&S chicken, this was incredibly disappointing. It was almost flavorless. My wife's beef cubes/pieces were very chewy. By her description (and I tried one piece and concur) it was beef flavored chewing gum. I have to guess it was very well marinated low quality beef. Oh...and we had visitors of the fruit fly variety. They were quite frequent in visiting. The fairly pushy waitperson also put two extra meals on our ticket. Only after we went down the ticket and saw the extra entrés and did she come over to correct it. Left us wondering if she was trying to take advantage of a couple of older people. Speculation, but billing errors leave bad impressions. We won't be back.
