I can highly recommend his services to anyone. read more

I met phill when I really needed things to get fixed. I was lucky to have such a great man who knows what he's doing and provides a great service. He even fixed couple of things that were not on the list because he simply came across them. His price is fair for the service that he provides. I definitely know who to call now Thank you for the great work Phill! read more

As previous review stated unprofessional argumentative and incompetent. 2nd go was a bad decision called for Phil to repair damages done by him hanging sliding glass mirror closet door. 2 weeks after he left in October it dropped and cracked edge bolts he mounted actually came off! Bolts were improperly put in door dropped cracked corner. I did not feel comfortable after our argumentative phone conversation he was loud rude and disrespectful. Upon his arrival I had my husband go out to go over the repairs for phils incompentance and damage. As i watched from living room window the handyman body language became aggressive standoffish no customer service no professionalism yelling back at my husband who was calm trying to work with this volatile person. Hr will yell ovwr and start shouting loudly over a person in a conversation. At one point he talks using his hands and tapped my husbands shoulder with his palm. My husband said at one point he was goin to put a finger on his chest and he would of called police. Phil accomplished nothing but proves he is unstable unprofessional and hostile. Do not recommend. As a lady i would never allow this person into my home. I would feel threatened and unsafe having here. After seeing his denial and weasel way out of fixing damages.Phil has a broken down van and a beggars tip coffe jar on his window. Unprofessional appearance and definitely a con. Beware we did not get a chance to ask for his contractors license or insurance or bonded. We believe he is unlicensed. read more

Rip off guy is argumentative with a annoying east coast attitude like Stefani review he has no clue on fixing items properly a clown imbecile that just keeps running his mouth obnoxious and then left without finishing any work after argueing. No customer service skills and unprofessional attitude do not recommend. As previous review by Stefani spot on. read more

We relocated our A/C return and wanted someone to drywall the old opening. I got several bids and based on a personal recommendation, I hired Phil. He showed up 10 minutes early and got to work. He had the job done in 2 hours and came in under what he had quoited me. He was very friendly to me, my kid and even my dog. I will be calling him again as other projects come up. read more

We had electrical problems that we could not solve. We called Phix-It-Phil and came within an hour of talking to him. We wanted to get power to a hall light and the garbage disposal. He solved my problems in a very reasonable time. He was stumped after fixing the garbage disposal and told me "If I can't fix it, there will be no charge". I will recommend him for any and all handyman work. Also, the price was very reasonable too. David C. - Linda Vista read more

Phil did a great job fixing an electrical issue I had! Will be recommending him to all my friends!

I normally use referrals for any vendor I engage with. But the signage on his truck just struck me so I thought I would give him a shot. I needed hardware replaced on my front door. Phil showed up on time, he did a great job, didn't charge more than he quoted and was super friendly. I will definitely reach out to him again for our home repairs. Scott read more

Phil is absolutely superb, he has done many many projects for us in La Jolla. Very professional and reasonable. Shows up on time, very efficient and professionally skilled. We have high praise for his services. read more

Beware, he'll rip you off! He is a chatterbox and doesn't know how to work and talk. He was at my house for 2 hours 20 minutes he had to have spent at least 30 minutes not working, just chit chatting and then rounded up the bill to be 3 hours. Which wouldn't have been that bad if he hadn't flown thru the work doing a poor job. I even had to rehang my spice rack, he clearly rushed thru it aligning the top and bottom along the wall but didn't take into consideration the decorative border at the top that stuck out an inch more than the bottom. There's no way he didn't notice, he clearly was in a rush and just left it at a huge angle. Also had to fix a gate he "repaired". I even mentioned how quickly he did things, now I see it's because his workmanship is worse than that of a lazy teenager. If you hire him just check his work and don't let him talk to you - unless you want to pay him to hear him talk about himself. And he's overpriced! read more

INCREDIBLY RUDE. First of all he didn't even understand the issue we were having. What kind of handyman does not even know what a smitty pan is? And when I explained that my husband and I couldn't figure out how to remove the old one he responded with "couldn't you just pick it up?" UM IF WE COULD JUST PICK IT UP WE WOULD NOT BE CALLING A HANDY MAN. MY HUSBAND AND I WOULD NOT BE ABLE TO AFFORD THE HOUSE WE JUST BOUGHT IF WE WERE SO DUMB WE COULD NOT EVEN FIGURE OUT HOW TO PICK SOMETHING UP OFF OF THE FLOOR. Do yourself a favor and don't pay some incompetent jerk to talk down to you when you are explaining the issue at hand. There are a million other handymen out there, go with someone else. read more

So, yesterday I go to visit a friend and I meet Phil, who was working on some plumbing issue in the bathroom. I go outside to move my car and accidentally hit and break two water pipes. Even though he had other obligations to take care of, Phil spent the next two hours fixing this unexpected problem. He's fast, he's reliable and he's personable. Highly recommended for any handyman needs. read more

Phil did an excellent job installing a lock on my gate. Very professional, extremely efficient and very fair in price. I would definitely recommend him! read more

Phix it Phil is AWESOME: Phil has done a wide variety of GREAT work in the home for us over several years now. Plumbing, Electrical, Repairs, Maintenance, Upgrades. He has repaired things, replaced things, bought & installed whole new things, advised us during confusing overwhelming & costly decisions. He's run out to the hardware store, or his supply place - sometimes multiple time in a row (during difficult repairs or installations) without ever a complaint. He's "flown" over (through terrible San Diego traffic) while we were having a water flooding emergency. Phil is the kind of guy that you're glad you have to call. We feel fortunate to have Phil "there for us" - and that's how he is. He's "there for you". His work has been EXCELLENT. He's been punctual, professional, very friendly, energetic, ready-to-serve. He has moved fast and accomplished lists full of stuff promptly. He has not smoked, cursed, spat, played his music while working or otherwise been disgusting or irritating, as sometimes workmen have been in our experience. He's been fresh & well groomed, leaving one comfortable to have him inside their home. He's been kind & respectful - and has been very straight-talking with us as well. He's an east coast guy who doesn't mess around - in a great way. When he can't do it well, he says so - and refers us to another professional if possible. His pricing has always been completely fair. He's made efforts to save us money whenever he could. He runs a one-man show, so he answers his phone regularly (even if he's standing in your kitchen) to keep up with business. Just roll with it - you're always glad he answers when you call ; ). He's great with details, especially compared to most fix it workmen, but to a limit. He's not going to polish your floor or anything before he leaves, but he still leaves things fresher than most guys we've had here in the past. read more

I have used Phil three different times. I'm retired so the time to get a project done is not high on my list. Every time I've called Phil he's been to the house and has got the job done within hours of my call. Personable and seems to enjoy what he's doing, a pleasure to have him doing projects that I can no longer do. read more

We've found our new handyman. Phil did a couple of crucial tasks for us last month. Phil installed a new dimmer switch in powder room and replaced all of our ceiling light bulbs with LEDs since we can no longer do it for ourselves. We had another task on our list but Phil informed us the outlet we thought needed replacing was fine, we were just using the wrong wall switch to turn it on! LOL! We loved Phil's work and honesty too. Very efficient, personable and reasonably priced. We have a list that we'll be asking Phil to Phix in the future. read more

I had some ceiling fans to install and my mother-in-law found Phix it Phil's name on Angies list so I called him. He gave me a very reasonable quote over the phone so we scheduled an appointment for two days later. He showed up on time, installed my two ceiling fans and charged me even less than he quoted. A very nice guy that I will always call to help me around my home. read more

Wow what an amazing experience to find a handyman that is knowledgable, reliable and dependable. Saw Phil's truck around town and decided to give him a call since I needed some home repairs. He was responsive and kept his appointment! His work was quick and well done. I highly recommend him and will be using him in the future. read more

I'm a DIY person so don't have a need to call on a handyman often. However, I know at least three people that have used Phil. Comments were that his charges seem to be higher than average, that he talks on his cell phone while on the job, and that he tends to shoot the breeze with his customers more than necessary and while still on the clock. Not good. read more
