Oh Phil, I do feel for you. I really do. Chippie numero tres is a grand wee place - nice food, varied menu, reasonable prices - but it lacks the most important element for any kind of eatery.

Each time I have popped in for my lunch, the place has been at a standstill. Literally. On one occasion I had to cough, shuffle and sneeze to get the girl's attention, so far from this world was she. Mindlessly bored, it would seem. When she saw me, a smile crept across her face and I could almost imagine her thinking, 'Oh my. A customer. What a novelty.' Poor girl.
My most recent visit, however, was slightly more optimistic. Having just finished a phone-call, the girl behind the counter quickly served me up a quarter pound burger (ketchup and salad a -plenty). She had just finished, and I was about to pay, when an old man walked in through the door. I know about the server, but that cheered me up no end. Sadly, on the way out, I noticed a 'For Sale' sign above the door. Miserable times.
