This was my first time here. I arrived shortly before noon on a Saturday; the drive-thru was full, and there were two cars in the parking lot, two people waiting for orders inside, and a third guy strapping an order to his bike. When I left, there were cars waiting to pull into the drive-thru, the parking lot was almost full, eight people were waiting for orders, and the staff were HUSTLING--a very efficient crew working together effectively to get the orders done well, quickly, correctly, and into customers' hands. Cheesesteaks were done well on a flat top, real slices of provolone (?) cooked in, and just a touch of char. Worthy. Next time I plan to order with extra cheese and meat--it was just a touch short of awesome. Chicken strips are made from scratch in house. The flour mix has just the right amount of spice to let your mouth know you're eating in Louisiana, but not enough to deter little hands and mouths from pigging out. Chicken wings are also made in house and deep fried. My order had a little extra skin/fat on the wings that distracted from the otherwise excellent execution. No idea if that's a regular thing or just this week's supply, but it detracts enough that if my next order is the same, it'll be the last time I buy the wings. Because the wings are deep fried, there's no sauce ON them; this is NOT a sauce-and-broil operation, but that's fine--the wings are tasty on their own and will pair well with the beverage of your choice. The ranch tasted a little like tartar sauce to me, so I only dipped one wing in it. The BBQ sauce is PERFECT for the Chicken Strips--tangy and smokey with just a touch of sweetness--but the wings are better without any sauce, IMO. Fries are very good but not great fresh. I strongly recommend eating them ASAP because they aren't good cold. Beverages are Coke products and Dr. P in 16oz bottles. No seating areas. This is a 100% take-it-and-go establishment. There's enough space for a dozen people to go to the inside counter, but it gets a little disorganized during high-volume periods because there isn't any obvious/intuitive way or clear direction on how/where to order or wait. If we talk to each other, everything is easy...but it requires talking to each other...

This is really disappointing because we love the food at Schlotzky's & this is the only location left in Louisiana. We just stopped here during July 4, 2026 weekend. The entire glass front door was cracked & looked like it would shatter if you touched it, but it was not covered for safety. They didn't have ANY tea made & the water out of the coke machine tasted horrible (in Shreveport, we have F grade water, but this was somehow infinitely worse), so I didn't even get a drink that we paid for. Both bathrooms are extremely dirty. My husband said there are never any paper towels in the men's room & the air dryer is rusted & too gross to use. And the water sprays out like crazy when you barely turn it on. He said it also stinks. The ladies room is also gross & the sink looks like it hasn't been cleaned in many years. The toilet seat doesn't fit on the toilet & slides around everywhere when you're not moving. The water barely comes out of the faucet, making it hard to wash your hands. (For at least a few years, the bathroom door locks didn't even work, but I guess they finally fixed that, at least.) We sat at the one table we could find that wasn't dirty. My husband also noticed some of the floor tiles are coming loose. My husband said his Original sandwich wasn't hot all the way through & his chips were stale. And they gave me the wrong dipping sauce with my calzone. We were weirded out by how dirty the restrooms & restaurant were, making us really concerned about how clean the kitchen & food could be when everything else is so dirty. So due to all of this, we will not be returning.

I got the special of the day which was baked chicken with rice and gravy and two sides. They guy serving was super sweet to explain to me the ordering process and I had a great conversation with the woman in line before me who comes every week for the Wednesday special. For my sides, I chose the greens and mashed potatoes. Even though I got two starches, it was worth it because the mashed potatoes and gravy were worth having as a main dish! I loved the greens, too, especially since they had all the hot sauce and peppers and vinegar choices you could want. The chicken was fork tender and I left nothing on the plate. I love that they provide each guest a little wrapped package of cornbread and iced cake of the day, too. I will definitely be stopping at Pamela's any time I'm in town.

We both felt really heavy afterward, and my mom even felt sick after eating there. It was just basic diner food and a bit overpriced for something you can get almost anywhere else. However, the cake that comes with the cornbread was my favorite part. SERVICE: The service was fine. It had more of a cafeteria-style vibe, so there isn't much to say about it. AMBIANCE: The inside felt very run down. The bar wasn't even finished and didn't look like it was ever used. Overall, it had a very hole-in-the-wall feel.
