I was able to get a same-day appointment when I called. The two guys in the truck arrived on time, and I was able to pay by credit card on the spot. I had a portable air conditioner / dehumidifier to dispose of and I was having a hard time finding a place that would take it (or even pick up the phone). I was so grateful they were able to come out on the same day, as I could not use it at my new place and that was one less thing I had to move! They price by volume, so I had to pay their minimum charge, which the gentleman who talked with me over the phone explained it may not be cost-effective for me to have them pick it up. We called Philly Junk on a Saturday morning to help us remove the contents of my mother's house of 60 years. She moved to an assisted living facility. As we are from out of town, it was greatly appreciated that they were able to come to the house with two trucks and two crews and help us unload decades of accumulated "treasures." They were pleasant, hard working, coureous and efficient. Two weeks later, we called again and had the basement cleared out. The crews were different, but the service was the same. These guys are awesome. Had a lot of junk in my basement I needed removed and I contacted them on a Tuesday and they came out to do the job on that Thursday. They quickly responded to the call for service and they were here early Thursday, around 9:30am. By 11:30 my basement was junk free. They don't take hazardous chemicals like paint and machine oils and the like, but everything else went in the truck. They're friendly and work hard in hot steamy weather. You can't go wrong using these guys and the prices are fantastic. They hauled away mattresses, construction debris, computers and a machine parts and tires. 3/4 of the truck filled for $560. These guys are great. When I called for a quote the owner of the company actually tried to help me think of less expensive options for getting rid of my stuff! When his guys arrived at the agreed upon time (the next morning!), they were on time, polite and accommodating. When the job proved to be bigger than they originally thought, they called two more guys who arrived quickly to help out. It must have been a really difficult job (lots of bags of heavy soil), but they remained pleasant throughout the entire several hours it took them.
