Went out and trialed Philly Steak &Wings tonight. My girlfriend and I arrived about 7:00pm. The place is quaint and not "stuffy" in any manner. The young lady behind the register was attentive and respectful to every customer, and told each and every customer to enjoy their night as they each left. She's a phenomenal asset to the team. At the recommendation of a friend, I ordered the 12" Philly with cheese whiz and grilled onions. My girlfriend order the 7" with regular cheese and mushrooms. I've been longing for a place to get a cheese steak around here and while driving to the grocery store I spotted this place immediately! We ditched the grocery store and stopped to try it out and I am so excited because it is so delicious!! This is exactly what I've been wanting and pining for. The staff was also extremely friendly and welcoming, we were even offered a free Thai rolled ice cream to try and see how we like it, which I think is super nice. The Ice cream is beautiful and to die for. We had the Oreo's Secret flavor. I usually don't like ice cream and of all ice cream flavors I like Oreo (or cookies and cream) the least but this one was SO GOOD. I would definitely try other flavors the next time we stop in. I usually shy away from places like this that have a generic name like "Philly Steak", but I was pleasantly surprised. All I can comment on is the food that I got with my Uber Eats order; It was prepared right away and packaged well! They have a great variety of options on their menu.. In addition to both beef and chicken steak sandwiches, they have wings, burgers, fried shrimp, some other sandwiches and appetizers. I enjoyed the corn nuggets for something different. The wings were a decent size and cooked well. The hot honey sauce was too thin for me, but that's just my personal preference.. I like a creamier sauce that really coats the wings. The cheesesteak was pretty good; I got the one that included onions and mushrooms. I so appreciate the traditional Amoroso's roll from Philly. They are always soft, but I feel like the roll became almost too soft and soggy. It seemed like there was a lot of liquid from all of the ingredients, especially at the top. Maybe this could have been remedied if they were able to grill the roll a little bit? The cheese was also mostly on the bottom of the roll, so perhaps that acted as a barrier as the bottom half wasn't as wet. Anyway, I will definitely go back and try other items! read more
