If you're staying at The Grove and/or has a vehicle, you might as well bought grocery to cook or ordered out somewhere on Irlo Bronson. Menu isn't vast and the food doesn't taste bad, just really not worth the cost. My husband and I both ordered pasta entrees and the waitress asked if we would like some garlic bread sticks with our pasta and she did say it'll cost extra, I didn't ask how much extra, thinking can't be that much for few bread sticks. Turn out, it was $12 for 4 tiny sticks. My $22 chicken Alfredo wasn't much and could have been presented prettier. Like I said, IF you have the option, go out the resort. read more

Valencia is one of the restaurants inside of The Grove resort and we ordered dinner and went for their breakfast buffet. I would not recommend either. We ordered dining through their website and there's not an ETA for pickup so we just had to guess or wait 15 minutes and walk there. The fries were good but the buffalo wings had some sort of aioli sauce along with the buffalo sauce that made it unbearable to eat. There's only "6" wings for $15. Or worth. The Valencia burger was 2/5, not tasty. Tipping kitchen staff via online order is NOT optional either so FYI. Breakfast buffet was $28pp and server took a while to come to us so we decided to just have one person give our drinks while we go to the buffet and they told us that we HAD to ALL wait until the server comes to the table. It was weird. Nothing to rant about, their breakfast is probably better than their dinner and that's not saying a lot. This restaurant is located on the ground floor of the resort. It is close to the pool area and has a very beautiful setting at night. We assumed it would be much more upscale but it is casual and there were a lot of guests who were having dinner in their swimwear. So after a great day at the pool this would be a good stop for a filling dinner. The restaurant also offers take out and I believe delivery to your room as well. We made our reservation through the app you download when you arrive at the resort. We were welcomed and shown to our table pretty quickly. The prices were pretty reasonable. As a group of six we ordered a few different things including 3 spaghetti kids meals, 1 appetizer of wings $15, 1 appetizer of mozzarella sticks $14, 1 burger with fries $18, and a braised beef short rib dinner with potatoes and veggies $35. Both the short rib dinner and the burger were pretty bland. The short rib was very tender but again not seasoned. The kids enjoyed the kids meal spaghetti which was $10. Kids drinks are not included. Overall it is convenient to eat here and we found that the appetizers were great. If we do come back we will try other menu items. The service was also great with no issues. read more

The best part of my meal was the waitresses demeanor. Linnea was fantastic. She really is a great waitress, great customer service and she went out of her way to help us order. I ordered Salmon vegetables and salad. The Salmon was over cooked so I just ate the little bit of the inside that wasn't hard. The vegetables consisted of 2 pieces of asparagus and a carrot. All of which were under cooked and hard as well. The salad was delicious and the raspberry vinaigrette was spectacular. As for my fiancé he had salmon as well. His salmon was cooked well and wasn't hard like mine but his saffron rice was hard and well under cooked. His vegetables were also undercooked and undesirable. Bad customer service. We ordered the food from the kiosk. My daughter strictly ordered the pasta because she wanted salmon. We ordered to go & maybe like 10 minutes later they say they ran out of salmon & asked if we wanted an alternative like chicken or shrimp. They took the alternative but did not do a price adjustment. Also added automatic gratuity & on my receipt it said dine in but we ordered to go. I don't mind giving a tip if service is given but I did not dine in- no service was provided. Asked to speak to manager & said manager is busy. I understand they are busy but can also take a break to speak to us. I waited about 10 minutes then asked again to speak to manager then ended up leaving. The Swiss burger tasted like a cafeteria burger save your money go elsewhere. I thought there should have been a price adjustment chicken pasta $12 & salmon $19 -- I paid for it & didn't get it therefore should have been price adjustment. It was absolutely horrible from the time that we arrived until the time that we left. We arrived around 8 PM and there was a 30 minute wait.. a friend of mine, had to reach out to the hostess and asked her how much longer it would be.. then she reassured us that it will be five more minutes. Shortly after we were seated. The waitress came over.. never told us her name.. rushed us to order our food.. never brought our drinks out and we only ordered water!!! when the food did arrive it was cold, crunchy and stale. We had a party of seven and only two meals were brought out. At this point, we still had no beverages. When the other food was brought to the table, it was cold as well. Due to us being extremely hungry, we went ahead and ate what we could, but I must say it was not edible. We also asked for the manager and they sent over a fake imposter to oversee the issue. I'm pissed. I will never in my life go back to the restaurant and I plan on reaching out to the boss of the resort itself because there's no excuse for this behavior. My family vacationed at this resort and we were pleasantly surprised at Valencia Restaurant. We ate here several times and had smash burgers, flatbread pizza, mushroom and chicken pasta and salmon pasta for dinner and had pancakes, and steak and eggs for breakfast. It was all very good and our service was great. Linnea was our server for 2 meals and although she was very busy she did a great job taking care of us. Overall service was painfully slow. Had to ask the hostess for a server twice. Took over 20 minutes before someone came. The server was fine though, it was the supervisor who seated us at a table with no server assigned. We arrived at 730 for our 735 reservation and 2.5 hours+ later we were finally leaving. In addition, we booked the valentine's day special which advertised Filet Mignon as an option, but they did a bait and switch and it was NY Strip instead. After MUCH discussion with the supervisor he finally at least comped our drinks, but it was a very disappointing experience. To add finally insult to injury, they forgot to bring the sparkling wine advertised as included with the dinner. Food was fine. read more

The price here was definitely higher than what you'd expect to pay in an "off site" restaurant. FYI: Tips are already factored in to the total price of your bill. The cleanliness of our area was subpar. (Had to ask the waiter to wipe down the seats and the end of our table since there were visible crumbs still there). Stayed at the resort where the Valencia restaurant resides so I had an opportunity to have both breakfast and dinner here. The breakfast was pretty standard. I did think it was creative to have a Mickey Mouse waffle for the kiddos. The waffle is also pretty large, which was impressive. The entrees for the dinner was also average, more specifically the ribs. I have had better ribs. The appetizers however, were outstanding. The smoked chicken wings and the Tostones Ropa Vieja was amazing! I would just skip the entrees and order a couple appetizers. You would be less disappointed. read more

Valencia Restaurant was very cute! It was clean and staff were very friendly. My son's 8th birthday was the day we decided to go and they brought him out a chocolate lava cake that said happy birthday.We were not expecting it at all! My son was so happy to feel acknowledged and celebrated. The food was really good. Will highly recommend for families when staying at the resort. Oh and they have mimosas!!!!! read more

The brisket sliders were overpowered by the amount of pepper in the meat and the meat itself was super dry..almost inedible. I'm staying at the resort, the grove , and this is one of the restaurants they have on the grounds. The food was amazing! I ordered the grilled chicken club sandwich. It came with fries and i also ordered a lemonade. Everything was perfect. The chicken was juicy and nicely seasoned. The bread was nice and golden and toasty, and it came with LTO and a pickle. It also came with a basket of fries which were very very good. They didn't even need salt and pepper. I'll be here for a couple of days, so I'm sure I'll be back to try the other things on their menu. read more

Tiffany and Jake are the only reason I would return to this property their level of understanding, transparency, and conflict resolution skills were top tier. Quite literally everyone else was rude, new and actively training(so they didn't have the ability to help) , or they just had no interest in solving or directing addressing any of the issues I was running into during my stay. Aside from that the issues I had with the property were the accommodation being completely opposite of what was advertised on the website. The room also smelled like mildew and when I brought this up to the older short hispanic women with long hair she responded with "we can have house cleaning come and spray some air freshener" ...like girl I think theirs a much bigger issue that needs to be addressed in there lol. read more

In the Grove Waterpark Resort...so....OVERPRICED. The menu is SO LIMITED. Go to the resort website to view it. Indoor & outdoor seating outdoor seating is near 1 of the 3 pools - so loud. Got food there 3 times during our stay (they say there are multiple restaurants, but that's not true). The Springd Bar & Grill has EXACTLY the same menu & is in the EXACT SAME LOCATION. SMDH. Dinner for 2 on patio. $100 without liquor. Fried ravioli appetizer - tough & not good. Tomato Bisque soup - yummy but croutons were crushed in it (great server brought me whole croutons to add upon request). 2 Cokes - both watered down. Greek salad - iceberg cheap lettuce & not enough feta cheese. All-you-can-eat BBQ walk up chef-plated. Delicious meat, overcooked corn on the cob, Mexican rice (good but this wasn't labeled TexMex), & pastry desserts were dry or just not good. Ate outside. Lightly was awful - not too dark, just industrial, failed to provided needed ambiance. Take away breakfast. Delicious scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage, toast, & home fries/potatoes. Instructions for crispy potatoes & bacon not followed. Waffles - Damn, they were AMAZJNG. Not your average Belgian waffle. 2 ovals that were less crispy than Belgians, but in a really good way. They had a unique flavor - vanilla maybe? To die for!!! Serviced with a variety of fresh fruit that was ripe: blackberries, strawberries, blueberries, & banana slices. Breakfast inside. Same order as above. Instructions on order were followed this time. Waffles still worth dying for - more fruit than on takeaway (which is upsetting because you the same for either) but the bananas were brownish & they added kiwi. Restaurant is cheap with the A/C. Lots of local options off resort but this area is super touristy so lots of traffic & long waits. This is good for convenience but I would never make a special trip to go here! Other resort "restaurants" The Longboard Bar & Grill @ the Surfari water park. Open air bar with tables. Stand in line to get food. I table service. Bar style food. Pleasant The Valencia Restaurant is part of The Grove Resort and Spa, where we stayed for a few days. There is a guard station to get onto the property, but I assume anyone can come in by saying they would like to go to the restaurant. I'll ask and if that is not the case I will edit my review. We stopped at Valencia a few days ago for lunch on a pleasant Florida day, sitting outside to enjoy the fresh air and the relaxing feel of the late morning. We checked out the lunch menu, which included some burgers and pizza. I was thinking burger but switched to splitting a pizza with another person after we learned it was 16", for only $14. This Meat Lovers Pizza was ok. It was certainly large, but the meat toppings were limited and concentrated in the center of the large circle. A Meat Lovers with no pepperoni? Surprisingly, true. I checked back on the menu and sure enough, pepperoni was not listed. They also list a Deluxe Meat Lovers but that too does not include pepperoni. I thought the crust was also a bit thick, but that is just a preference thing. The dinner menu reads much more ambitious with more of a fine dining description and pricing feel. We have not walked by in the evening to even see what transformation may occur from our lunch spot. Our server did fine, perhaps not as available as I would have expected. I had run out of diet coke before running out of pizza, but she didn't turn up with a new cup until we were finished. By the time we checked in and got settled in our room, it was already pretty late. We didn't feel like going out to dinner and with Covid (Nov 2020), our options on property were limited. Luckily, Valencia was open late and serving a full menu. We started off with a round of drinks and even though the place was quite, they were in no rush to get us out of there. At the table we had a burger, chicken alfredo, the greek salad, a club chicken blt, and a bunch of the shoestring fries which were a crowd favorite. Everything was presented well... especially the salad with fresh veggies and beautiful big slices of watermelon radish. The chicken alfredo I got was even served in a giant boat shaped bowl with some micro-greens on top. Overall, it was more than we expected from a late night jaunt through the lobby and the service was excellent too. Everyone was able to find something for dinner without having to venture out and the prices considering it was a resort restaurant were pretty reasonable as well. read more

A pleasant surprise! I wasn't expecting much when I walked into Valencia Restaurant. Our server, Wayne greeted us immediately and proceeded to provide recommendations. We decided to take Wayne's recommendations and we were not disappointed. I ordered the shrimp scampi pasta with broccoli added. Honestly, it's the best scampi I've had in years. The cream sauce tasted fresh and full of flavor and the portion size was large. My friends ordered the chicken marsala pasta and the chicken fettuccine alfredo. Both raved about their meals. Had a quiet NYE but wanted to do something for New Years Day and got reservations for brunch at The Grove Resort. Was pleasantly surprised by the quality and selection of various entrees including Paella and also slices of a humongous chocolate cake. The hostess in addition to Jara, our fabulous server, were great to interact with. I understand they do not always have a brunch but do have a more limited breakfast buffet on Sunday. The grove is a wonderful hotel, however the food was not. I think i would rather eat rat shit, die, and be revived like Jesus, before i eat here again. For starters, which sucked by the way, the tea tasted horrible and they were out if it, so they forced terrible lemonade down my friends throat, and i got stuck with the green tea. After we got our drinks that tasted like our waitress had pissed in, we waited for over 30 min to get our food that was dry like Sahara desert. Like if i ordered a chicken sandwich there it would probably be more moist than the god awful sandwich which that a member at my table ordered. Not only was it dryer than the waitresses dried up brain cells it was also not cooked right. Now correct me if I'm wrong but asking to hold the cheese is not rocket science, I'm not that bright myself, but even i can understand that when someone doesn't want something on their food, you probably shouldn't put it on there. That was just a snippet of all the mess-ups with our food. Paying the bill was a bitch, just like out waitress, we asked for separate checks which we did not get so then it took another hour pretty much to get our checks separated because not only was our waitress a moron, she was also slow as hell. You know its also been in my bucket list to see what hell is like and after eating here, i think i can check off my list, however i couldn't play poker with satin, the waitress was "busy". If your thinking about eating here i would recommend eating some grass off of I-95 it will definitely be a more enjoyable experience. read more
