Was there from 10:30 am and didn't get my car until 5:30 pm. I was pissed. The work needed was minimal. Be careful. Service Advisors get paid commission. Mark is a Service Advisor who will charge you the highest price to get commission so he can take his wife on a vacation. Mark moves like a slough. Very slow. He takes so long because on the computer he reads what have been done to your car. Then he will come up with some ridiculous problem with your car so that he can get the highest commission. Please let me start by saying that I have purchased many cars, house before my experience with Philly auto personnel on October 6,2018. I truly had a nightmare of an experience. I highly recommend avoiding their shady, unprofessional, dishonest (illegal) practices. I spent a whole entire day to buy a car there. Despite the finance guy's extremely unprofessional manner (I believe his name is Byron), I decided to give it a shot and waited. After 4 hrs waiting while him and manager was walking around, eating and talking with other employees, he ended up telling me I got approved at 21%rate. I left irritated and received a call back from the manager to tell me that there was an error on my application and I should go back. Went back and I was advised that my income, documentation fee, loan amount and my address were put wrong?????!!! Application was a a disaster and manager was calling back the banks and clear it up. I was listening as he was explaining to the banks all the errors (my income, address, loan amount, documentation fee, my address all wrong). After about 2hrs, the manager told me I got approved at 6.1%. (Showed me on the computer) When I was about to sign the documents , I realized the interest rate on docs was 9.2% and down payment was significantly higher that I had put in my application and no one told me. (Fraud?!?). After realizing that this was a purposeful jacking of the interest rate, wasting a day of my life, extremely angry from their incompetent behavior, cancelled my loan and left the place ASAP. read more

I came to Philly Auto on a cold, rainy day in October and left with a 2012 Nissan Altima that I absolutely love! Sandra was great, she was helpful and patient every step of the way. She was attentive in finding out my needs and directing me to cars that fit within my parameters. Although the weather was somewhat bad, the office was crowded with customers but the people at Philly Auto made sure everyone was taken care of without too much of a wait. The paperwork process is long but that's expected. Overall I had a warm experience at Philly Auto and would definitely recommend them. read more

I just learned that my 2016 Honda Accord that I bought from Philly Auto could not be insured (unless I paid a LOT of money). Seems that a general insurance agency found out that my car had been in an accident that had $12,000 worth of damages - and also one that had $8,000 in damages. This DEALERSHIP should have checked this before selling the car to ANYONE! This goes along with letting me take the auto out of their lot with bald tires (which they knew about, or they would not have ordered 4 new ones for me). I had a flat tire the next day, and the most horrible thing of all was that there was NO SPARE that fit the tire. INEXCUSABLE! This could have been horribly dangerous to me had I been on a dark road somewhere. When I complained to Leo, the man who sold me the car, instead of apologizing for my problem, he said, "Don't take it out on me". To make matters worse I had to be told by my mechanic that there was no inspection sticker on the car, and I had to go back to the dealer to get one. I'm going to be honest, dealing with a used car dealership is usually one of my my biggest pet peeves... However, Philly Auto completely changed my outlook about this. I have a childhood friend that lives in Philly that I try to go out and see at least once a year. We have been planning an outdoor trip for a couple of months now and the time had finally come to get going. Unfortunately, just before my flight landed, his car's radiator blew out...perfect timing. Anyways, it was time to get a new set of wheels so I went with him to get a new affordable car. I expected it to be a war zone when we arrived, but recieved the complete opposite experience. I would suggest you don't buy a car from this sketchy place. They will butter you up and make you feel like they offer great customer service but as soon as they have your money, they drop you like flies. It is next to impossible to contact somebody if there is something wrong with your car. Even better, if your car is in need of repair, you can count on them to send it to the cheapest mechanic that uses cheap ass parts to do mediocre work. Honestly the person I had reach out to me was great at first but honestly after that she became unpleasant to work with.. honestly it was poor customer service and I felt that she didn't have the desire to help me.. I sent in my paystub for a credit application awhile ago.. and than she said she didn't began my application but ran my credit with doesn't make any sense she didn't even notify me that she was going to run my credit I always had to reach out to her.. and she a sale manger it says well it didn't seem like it.. you wanna sell cars but this wasn't what I was experiencing.. Customer Service here is terrible. Really awful. If I could have given ZERO stars, I would have. Every time I call, aside from Alberto, everyone there is EXTREMELY RUDE and CONDESCENDING. Alberto was the only one who actually talked WITH you. Not to you. Literally called and was dropped multiple times, they cannot locate inventory with the information provided from their own site or ads. They leave ads up days to weeks after a car has been sold. The first vehicle I chose was horrible, and the second vehicle that we actually purchased had issues that we were told were going to be fixed--- and it was not. All I can say is Wow! I came to the dealership with my dad in the market for an affordable suv. I never realized how simple it is to get a used car until I came to Philly auto. I was greeted by a very nice man named Eugene who showed me the huge inventory list to choose from. My goal was to have a nice car that can drive well in the winter and of course to have some pick up speed. My salesman took me thru the list of cars that were in my price range and Suggested i picked out 3 to take for a test drive. Great Idea Eugene! I was between the Acura and the Infiniti and ended up going with the Initiniti because it was cheaper. I also got approved for 100% financing and didnt have to pay a penny out of pocket with a super low interest rate. I was so happy with the service that I received . I even got a phone call from the owner a few days later just to ask how I like the car and to see if I have any questions. I had the roughest time here. All employees are super unprofessional and joke around the whole time. The "finance manager" who sits in the back office was fooling around and eating fried chicken with his friends instead of working. It took over 4 hours and I left with nothing. Prior to coming in I spoke with a representative about xactly what I was looking to do and which car I was interested in. I was told I was approved and it would be no problem. 4 hours of waiting and 1000 problems later I left with nothing. This was a super disappointing experience. They tried to give me a made up value for my trade when I know I deserve more. To top it off "Darryl" I believe he is the head manager? He was very rude.. would barely look me in my face, sat and ate at his desk in my face and asked me to move so he could help someone else... So rude! I do not recommend ! They will pressure you to buy warranty that is already covered by the manufacture they try to scam you into buying the powered trained warranty by Niada which I payed $2000 for making me think I was covered for my transmission and my engine long story short after two weeks of having the car it starts stalling in traffic and one day it stalled and would not turn back on I had to get it towed in the middle of traffic so the mechanic says your car is 4 liters low on oil I said how could that be I just bought it two weeks about and it only has 26000 miles on it so it turns out that the engine is burning oil because there were no leaks on the engine. I did some research and this is a common problem for 2015 Dodge Darts so I call the third party warranty company Niada they said that they would not cover my engine if it blows up because it is a factory defect and that I would have to talk to Philly Auto so I go in and talk to there manager he was extremely rude and unprofessional would not look me in the eye and kept answering his cell phone in the middle of our conversation. I said to him I want to return the car and hes says no way not our problem its Dodges problem so I said to him then I want to cancel the $2000 power train warranty that I bought because the sticker price on the car was $9900 and when it came time to do the paper work the car price was 11900 and I said whats the added $2000 for and they said oh thats your 100,000 Mile 5 year warrant so I said ok not knowing this was a scam and not needed because I called Dodge when I starting having engine issues and they said I already had a manufacture power train warranty of 100,000 and that it does not expire until 2019 so yea they scam you into buying unneeded warranties to make more money off the sale. I told then I want my $2000 back and they said no you never purchased power train warranty trying to talk rubbish and lie to me. Never again. I called the dealership before I went in to make sure the car that I wanted was available, they said it was. I showed up only to find out that it had been sold. They had a similar vehicle "on site" that had some of the bells and whistles of the original car so I agreed to test drive it. I sat there for 3 hours waiting to drive the car only to be told that it was in their shop getting new inspection, brakes and rotors. They agreed to drive the car to me the next day to test drive and said the salesman would have the final sale paperwork. The salesman showed up the next day but the vehicle had old brakes and rotors, it wasn't even inspected. In addition, it didn't even have one of the options that their internet ad and salesman said it had(push to talk phone that apparently the vehicle lack the module to activate the option, $500 and change for our local dealership to install). He said to keep the car and they would send someone to pick it up and straighten everything out. The driver showed up late to pick up the car, assured us that it would be returned to my wife's office before she got off work. He showed back up with the car 2 hours late, my wife was stuck at work, several of the items hadn't been corrected, and the car stunk like marijuana. I work with a retired cop who searched car to confirm nothing was left behind and he also confirmed that it had been smoked in the car. When I called the dealership the manager (Rob) got defensive and said they would fire the employee and pay to have the car detailed. To this day my vehicle remains unfixed and I had to pay to have the interior detailed. Numerous messages left, numerous emails sent, I never heard back from him. STAY AWAY FROM PHILLY AUTO. BUYER BEWARE!!! They lie about the condition of the vehicles just to make a sell. If you buy, or your vehicle comes with a warranty they want you to bring it to them for repairs. The service department is a JOKE! I purchased a beautiful BMW from this place. The very next day I notice my tail light was out. I take it back and they say we have to order it. Two weeks later they finally get the light and call me to come in. When I get there it isn't the correct part. I wound up waiting another week for the right one. Three weeks later the car leaks all of its coolant, again I take it to the dealer. They say its just a hose, replaced it and sent me on my way. A week later it does it again. This time a hose, a few gaskets and over a thousand dollars paid for labor and miscellaneous parts not covered by warranty. They had the car for 17 days this time. Yes, SEVENTEEN WHOLE DAYS!! A month later various warnings and check engine messages appear on vehicle info screen. During all the visits to this dealer, I met quite a few people with cars and trucks purchased from them that had a story similar to mine. A white Range Rover it was my first car and that was like one of the third lots i been too in the search for a new car and I must say this was the last place I looked. Unfortunately my first car purchased from them was totaled in an accident and I recently went there to purchase another Range Rover LOL. Out of all Car lots Philly auto has always been number one because of their inventory and customer service. My first car I received from them was a 2006 although it was a little older still ran well I didn't have any problems with it. This year around August 2015 there is different staff, they're much more professional and faster and they get the job done I am pleased with my experience with them and I'm happy to say that I just bought my second car from them. THIS DEALERSHIP IS AN UNMITIGATED DISASTER and the salespeople are DISHONEST! We drove all the way there from our home in Maryland to view a vehicle that they had advertised on Car Gurus. We spoke in advance to a salesman named Collins and let him know that we were on the way to view and purchase the vehicle if we liked it. He called to ask us if we were interested in credit repair and we told him no, that in fact, we had excellent credit. He then let us know that he would move the vehicle to the front so that it would be available for our inspection when we arrived. We arrived at around 3pm that day (a Saturday) and instead of being shown the vehicle, we were passed off to the sales manager who immediately raised the issue of our financing with them. We told them that we were not interested in their financing and that we were ready to purchase the vehicle with our own funds provided that we were happy with its performance. He seemed to be very disappointed with this response and called another salesman over to take us to the vehicle which was on another lot. When we got there we were surprised to see that the vehicle was still parked three cars deep on the lot which appeared to belong to another dealership and was chained shut. We inspected the parked vehicle and then asked them to bring it out so that we could test drive it, but the salesman told us that he wasn't allowed to let us test the vehicle unless we definitely wanted to purchase it. My husband mentioned that we had driven 2.5 hours to get to there and had every intention of purchasing the vehicle if it checked out, and furthermore, Collins had told us that he would have the car waiting for us. He then told us that we would have to start the purchasing process before test driving the vehicle! We could not believe this! We have never had such an experience before in connection with a vehicle purchase and immediately suspected that something was wrong with the engine or transmission that they just didn't want us to discover. The salesman said that we should just purchase it and bring it back within 30 days if we had any problems. We told him that this was a ridiculous way to purchase a car and that we would not want the inconvenience of having to drive back and forth in connection with any issues. But he told us that his manager would be "mad" at him if he permitted us to test drive the car so we left in disgust. To add insult to injury, we keep getting emails from them asking us if we are still interested in the vehicle! We cannot believe that any of these people actually own this dealership or understand customer service. They seem to be a shady cast of characters and I would not recommend anyone purchase a vehicle from this place! read more
