The owner was the person who came to look at the house and give me a quote. I wanted to have the trim painted right away and then have the rest of the house painted next year. He gave me a reasonable quote and some worthwhile pointers for things to have any painter check out on my house during next year's paint job. Bill tells me that all of his painters are his employees, so he's not relying on freelancers who might not meet his standards of quality. That was evident in the person who showed up on painting day. He was professional, kept the workplace clean, and was very thorough. He took the shutters down completely to paint them. The paint job looks great. I have zero complaints about the work or the company and intend to use Brush & Roll again in the spring. I don't receive anything for my reviews.

Our experience with Brush and Roll was extremely frustrating and required far more oversight than…read moreever expected. Communication was inconsistent from the beginning and we were not initially made aware that subcontractors would be performing the work. The project was delayed on the scheduled start date after we had taken time off work to be home for the crew. However, the project manager was able to stop out and do the initial walk through at the end of that day. Once work began, we immediately noticed significant issues. Day 1 we caught workers standing on our air conditioning unit. Damaged siding had been removed as stated per the contract with only 3/4th of new siding being installed on the first day; this created exposed areas despite rain being in the forecast. More concerning the siding that had been installed was installed incorrectly with the siding not splitting studs along with nails missing the studs and not properly securing to the wall. We had to call the workers back out and request them to cover the exposed areas due to the forecast of rain and request that the siding be redone the next day. We also discovered that the wrong paint had been ordered and delivered. We paid an extra $2,000 to upgrade to the prime grade paint and the basic bottom of the line paint had been delivered. If we had not caught it ourselves, the wrong product likely would have been used. The painting was initially done very poorly, with minimal scraping, no apparent sanding, and areas where old peeling paint could still be seen underneath or where freshly applied paint could simply be peeled away. The work order specifically called for preparation steps including chemical cleaning, scraping, feather sanding, and back-rolling/back-brushing, and these were not properly completed. We ultimately had to take significant time away from work to monitor the project, inspect the work, document problems, and repeatedly communicate with management about corrections. To their credit, once we thoroughly walked the project manager through the issues, he acknowledged the problems and agreed that the work was unsatisfactory. The crew then began correcting many of the issues, and they did make progress. However, for the amount we paid and the expectations set in the contract, we should not have had to supervise the project this closely or identify such basic errors ourselves. We expected a professional, properly managed painting and siding project, not one where we had to repeatedly catch mistakes and make sure contracted work was actually being completed. We do not recommend using this company for exterior house painting.

Because I was not able to view the exact items I had in mind, the staff was very helpful in showing me similar courts in the brand Cambria outlet, which my contractor has recommended. There were some samples inside, but Giovy was kind enough to show me around outside as well, so I can view full slabs. They were getting ready for installation. It was great to be able to see full slabs versus the samples that mini shops carry!

We were impressed and made arrangements to visit the physical store location where we selected our countertops, sink and tile for the backsplash from the samples available. The faucet we purchased ourselves at Lowe's. They work closely with another business (Balmori's Remodeling) for the actual tile work so we received a separate estimate for that. There were a couple unavoidable delays getting started but it was well worth the wait. They communicated with my spouse (since he works at home) via text, email and phone. The work took a couple days for the countertops and a couple days the following week for the tile. We are so pleased with the result! I included some pictures and would recommend them to someone wanting to do a similar project.

Then Juan from Prograde called me a second time to make sure we had found someone to replace or fix the skylight. When he learned that we hadn't, he sent David and a co-worker over to our house that very afternoon to assess the situation. David promised he could replace the skylight the following day -- a Saturday! -- at a very reasonable price. True to his word, David called Saturday morning to tell us that he and his crew would arrive as soon as the rain let up enough to allow them on the roof. They started about 10:00 and the job was done, professionally and neatly, in under two hours. These guy are terrific! Give them a try!
