As you emerge from Blessington Street Basin Park, take a right and stroll down the tree lined pedestrian avenue, when you emerge straight across the road is the Phibsborough library.
It may be small in stature but is pushed fair enough off the main street to create a bubble of silence, It also has a lawn in front of it when you descend the stairs. Anytime I am there it just tends to have senior citizens, which is fine by me. They have free wi-fi so I can relax and write reviews like I am now!
Obviously the catalogue of books will not be as strong as larger libraries closer to the city centre, but I think it's selling point it's location. Just ascend the steps and you are back to the hustle and bustle, I like that it can switch the silence on. read more
