This is a great gym that works with each child on an individual basis. They all work hard and have great success.

I wanted to wait a little bit before writing this review. My daughter has been going to classes…read morehere for a little while and I think we have a feel for how things work. I am really satisfied with Premier West. I see that some people think the coaches are hard on the kids, but I don't really see that. I think they could push my daughter a little more. She was often getting bored not being pushed to challenge herself or learn something new. I am glad to say that the coaches did notice this as well and pushed her up into the next class level before I was able to bring it up to them. She is much happier in her new class level and is being challenged to meet new goals. They are also very nice to the girls. My daughter loves her coach and is excited to see her every week. The gym is busy with people. So that must show that they are doing something right. Premier offers many class options and they have reasonable sized classes. The classes are not too large where kids get over looked. We searched the local area for other options before picking Premier and for the price, this is the best place by far. They allow you to make up classes if you miss, many other places don't do that. So your child can take a break if needed and not fall behind, plus you never really feel like your money is wasted when you miss a class.

I love it here and I'm SO happy I chose to bring my kids here! If you are looking for a fantastic facility for your kids to learn gymnastics, TRY THIS PLACE. Also the staff is SO friendly and helpful. I ask anything at any time and I receive perfect explanations. Advice, classes fill up quickly, so sign up even online to beat the rush.

We are approaching the second anniversary of our daughter being a member of the Legacy Elite…read moreGymnastics family, and we are long overdue in recognizing the wonderful experience that we, and our daughter, are experiencing as a small part of a truly amazing group. Since our daughter's first free class at Legacy Elite, through the already countless training sessions, and a confidence-building first year of competition, we have only heard positive feedback from our daughter about her interactions with teammates, coaches and Legacy Elite management. She proudly states that, "The gym is my happy place!" Since joining the Legacy Elite Gymnastics team program, her confidence has grown, her diet has improved and she is physically and mentally stronger. The professionalism, support and genuine caring attitude shown to our daughter by the entire coaching team continues to leave us amazed with our Legacy Elite Gymnastics experience. As a family, we are appreciative of the supportive, encouraging and cautious approach the staff takes toward her as a gymnast and a young lady. We are excited to experience all that the next competition season holds, and we believe in all that Legacy Elite management, and staff, is doing with, and for, our daughter.

My experience with YPAC is with the one week performing arts camp (Monday through Friday) designed…read morearound tryouts for a play/musical on the first day and culminating in a performance on Friday evening. Every child enrolled in the camp (which I believe cost $500) is guaranteed a role in the play. I recently attended the Friday night performance for You're a Good Man, Charlie Brown. There were only 10 children enrolled in the camp. The show chosen had 6 speaking roles, and 4 non-speaking roles. The participants in non-speaking roles were infrequently on the stage singing and dancing. Didn't have so much as one line in the whole show. Which meant they spent much of the week leading up to the show sitting around watching the others practice. Not exactly what the camp offered or was paid for. It would seem to me that a better show could have been chosen to allow fuller participation for all the camp enrollees. I understand that in any play some are cast in larger roles than others. However, the secret to a good theater camp is to figure out how to utilize ALL the kids to make them feel like full participants. There are much better theater camps out there. I would recommend skipping this one.

If you are looking to engage your child in the arts, YPAC has a wide selection of options, from…read moredance, tumbling, music and theater. With two locations in Yorkville, the facilities are easily accessible to families in Yorkville and in surrounding communities. Both of my daughters have participated in the tumbling program. My older child started tumbling at an older age, and YPAC welcomed her and built both her strength and confidence. The teachers are knowledgeable in proper form and safety. My youngest started in a parent/child class, Pre-COVID. It was more of an open gym/exploratory class, which was a fun introduction to tumbling. We just started back after a break for COVID, and the facility remains impressive. My now the year old jumped right in to participate, which impressed me. The teachers are obviously experienced with younger children. The facility has a great plan on place to safely check children in without a lot of close contact and traffic through the building, and parents can still watch class via Zoom. Prices are a little high- billing is monthly, and there is also an annual membership fee. I do believe that there are some scholarships available.

All the teachers I've had have been super friendly, motivating, knowledgeable, and happy to help in any way they can. My favorite classes are Total Body Conditioning with Lisa, Bodypump with Sarah and Piyo with Cindy. Karen is also a great instructor teaching various classes. I use the childcare center almost daily and the price for unlimited childcare is such a great deal. Everyone who works there is more than capable of providing friendly and safe babysitting. My 3 year old loves coming as everyone is so sweet and welcoming. The staff takes such an interest in my kids and makes an effort to get to know me as well. My son has been coming since he was 3 months old and I love that they have a separate area for the really little ones. The facility is kept extremely clean and is brand new. My daughter has taken a gymnastics class and it's so cute. She adores it and the gym is very well equipped! Overall the facility is kept very clean and I love working out here. I've also made some great friends! You won't feel out of place or ostracized if you aren't super fit. Lots of friendly faces everywhere!

Whitney made this experience extremely disappointing and honestly ruined my daughter's birthday…read moreparty. First, I had to pay for the party twice. I initially paid over the phone, and although the charge posted to my bank account, somehow it never registered with the park district. Because of that, I had to dispute the charge. To make matters worse, the park district is now trying to fight the dispute even though it was clearly a double charge situation. Before the party, I spoke with Whitney and was informed that extending the party to 5:30 PM would not be an issue because the final party slot was from 3:30-5:30 PM. The hosting itself was extremely disorganized. The kids did not begin playing games until nearly 4 PM, despite the party already being underway, and they were supposed to eat at 4:30 PM. Later, I asked again about extending the party to 5:30 PM, and the hosts stated, "We don't mind." While I left briefly to pick up pizza, I also spoke with Crystal at the front desk, who informed me she had spoken with Olivia, the host lead, and after a meeting near the front desk, everyone confirmed everything was fine regarding the extension. When I returned with the pizza, Crystal and both hosts again reassured me there were no issues and that the party could continue until 5:30 PM. Then at 4:53 PM, Whitney suddenly called and said, "Just to confirm, your party ends at 5 PM." At that point, I was beyond confused because every host, front desk employee, and supervisor I had spoken with had already confirmed otherwise. To make matters worse, once we were back in the party room, the hosts suddenly told me the kids could not eat in the room and instead had to eat in the hallway. My daughter was not even allowed to sing "Happy Birthday" properly in the room. I literally had to sing Happy Birthday to my daughter in the hallway. The entire experience felt chaotic, poorly communicated, and incredibly inconsiderate. It honestly felt like Whitney found every reason possible to make my daughter's special day difficult instead of enjoyable. Ironically, one of the hosts later apologized to me directly and even stated, "We really don't mind since there isn't another party." This completely contradicted what Whitney had been saying. First it was that another party was coming, then it changed to "custodial needs to come in." From the reservation process to the actual event, this was one of the worst party experiences I have ever had, and I deeply regret choosing this location for my daughter's birthday.
