Decided to give Smoothie Spot a try. The person who took our order was pleasant. After ordering, He informed us he was out of plantains but would ask for more. We could see that he was using a headset to ask, then every employee turned and stared at us as if we asked that they swim across the ocean to collect the plantains! My daughter settled for a different wrap and I asked for the Caesar wrap. We soon discovered there was no more chicken. The employee asked if he should try to get more. After the plantain inquiry, I said No. My daughter's wrap was decent, but it didn't outweigh the poor customer service. I don't know that I'll return. read more

I used to love this place, yet I still do... the only thing is that they have really downgraded in service and quality. I discovered this place today when I went on Yelp and typed in smoothie. I had never seen it while driving and can't believe it is so close to my gym! The shop looks clean and new which is nice for this area. A plus having it near the gym as well. Smoothie tastes good but doesn't have many vegan protein options. Staff member was confused when I wanted the chocolate mix with vegan protein then finally said the vegan is no flavor so its no chocolate.... why not just add chocolate as an add on? Overall good smoothie store just needs for vegan options and training staff members about add ons. read more

They take long to serve you but they're courteous about It. Food looks fresh and they didn't try to put old Spinach on my wrap and i appreciate that: they serve you a lot of food. Definitely love all the options of veggies they have available especially beets and dried cranberries! What an amazing selection. So I came across this place by accident. I actually saw it on my way to the military surplus store right next to it. Now.... They have a small menu but I must say they offer a variety of toppings, proteins, dressings for your wrap or bowl. (I will post a photo of their menu.) They also have shakes. Small selection but I'm sure they'll vamp it up and put more along the way. I created my own wrap. Which included: -brown rice -garbanzo beans -corn -mushrooms -banana peppers -garlic cilantro dressing. I was totally bummed because as a vegetarian I wanted tofu and they did not have any at the moment! I asked of the protein for their shakes contained dairy and they did. HOWEVER.... Don't you fret my fellow vegans/vegetarians... The kind young gentleman (whose name I regretfully did not get) did mention that they will be bringing in tofu, humus, soy, etc.... within the next two weeks. (So you bet your vegan/vegetarian ass I'll be back!) Oh and my wrap is soooooooooooooo delicious!!!!!! And of course photos have been provided. I really can't wait to come here. Especially since my gym (LA Fitness) is literally 4 minutes down the street. I also love the idea of supporting a local business! It's a must! read more

Updating to reflect my current experience. The girl taking my order was not knowledgeable about their prices; she couldn't even tell me how much it was per topping. She also appears to have a hearing problem...despite how loud I told her what I wanted on my bowl, I still had to keep repeating myself. She either needs to see a doctor or turn the blasting music down. She also attempted to skimp on the portions. I suspect that the boss is telling her to not be so heavy-handed in an attempt to save money. However, another employee noticed her stinginess, grabbed the spoon from her, and gave me a decent portion. Also, the label that says guacamole is extra is tiny. They should consider making it large like chipotle. The food is really good though and the empanadas are amazing. read more

The only thing I can say is that I wish there was a smoothie spot up North. I was working down south and came across this place on Yelp. Overall the smoothie I got, "Popeye" and the wrap, "The Cutler Bay" were delicioussssss and super filling! Also super clean! Would go here so much more if I was closer. Nice place for a quick stop. It is NOT ORGANIC even though it is advertised otherwise. Most of the ingredients on smoothies are not natural and unavailable. No almond butter either or vegan protein. By far the worst, most artificial smoothie I have ever tasted in my life!!!! They don't even put real fruit in their smoothie. They pump juice, put ice and protein powder. You can tell they use they regular can or bottles juice from the grocery store. They might add proteins to it but the amount of sugar you're intaking must be insane. I got half way thru the smoothie and tossed it out. Now I feel sick to my stomach. The girl that made the smoothie was nice, she tried her best even lacking in English she was sweet. But the chick at the register -------- let me not say what I really want to say. I see from the other reviewers they love this spot but in my opinion of you're going to open a smoothie spot at least use REAL FRUIT. For starters the service is terrible. There's no flow in the shop and you don't know where to order. The workers look unamused and ready to go home. They say they're "healthy" but everything is prepackaged, full of sugar and not healthy at all. The coconut is from a bag and full of syrupy sugar. Don't waste your money on this scam. read more

To eat: I had the avocado w/ egg on wheat toast, it was perfection! Potion size is right on point and very tastefully made. The guacamole was fresh and taste home made, the eggs cooked just right, bread toasted perfect! To drink: I had a Twisted Strawberry smoothie. It's tasty, filling, and refreshing all at once. The drink was the perfect thickness for a smoothie, mixed throughly, fresh fruit. To staff: Very welcoming, they greet you from the moment you walk in. It was my groups first time and they went above and beyond for us( we're a picky bunch). No attitude, only positive vibes. I have lived in the area for 6 years and can't believe I am just coming to find out that this place exists. If you live in the area you know that our restaurant and dining options are limited especially when it comes to "healthier" options. The place clean and busy. Always a good sign. Ordered the berry kale smoothie which was phenomenal. In addition to the smoothie, we also ordered the Miami wrap and two bowls. The total came out to $48 which I found to be a little pricey for the surrounding area and quantity but I will say that everything was very fresh. I will be back to try more items. read more
