I consider this place the last chance stop for my pharmaceuticals/hygiene needs. Why? Things are expensive here, far more than Jean-Coutu and let's be honest, this place in general pales in comparison. When you break down their name Pharmaprix it means "Pharmaceutical" and "Price". Well, they at least got the name right.
Coming from a guy who'll go to Costco and buy a 5 pack of deodorants for $14, you have to really convince me to pay close to $6 for a single one.
They also sell basic grocery needs as well but once again, the price-tag is steep. Milk is already expensive at $4+ at Maxi, when it's $7, you have to wonder if they actually manage to sell anything here and if they do, perhaps I'm not the target audience for their sales, you know, those "devilishly handsome logical types" audience group.
However the pharmacist and crew are very competent and polite and deserve a good mention. read more
