Ok y'all, we're at our favorite lunch spot and I had to pause before diving in because this place is a MUST VISIT!! You'd never expect to find this gem tucked away in the middle of Cameron on your way to Ft. Bragg/Fayetteville--but trust me, it's there and it's worth the stop. Everything is fresh, full of flavor, beautifully plated, and the portions are generous. We've been here so many times and have never once left disappointed. I always start with their pickle fries (which we totally forgot to snap a pic of ), then today I got the chicken shawarma platter with an Athena village salad, and my husband went with the chicken shawarma Greek salad--and WOW, it absolutely hit the spot. So good!! If you're in the area, you have to check it out. This was my first time at Pharaohs, and I honestly didn't know what to expect. The food, however, completely exceeded expectations. I ordered the mixed kofta platter, one chicken kofta skewer and one lamb kofta skewer, served over basmati saffron rice with grilled onions, tomatoes, and green peppers, finished with tahini sauce. My wife had the beef kebab platter with marinated beef cubes over the same rice and vegetables. Everything tasted amazing. The meat was flavorful, well seasoned, and cooked perfectly, and the portions were generous without being overwhelming. This is the kind of meal where you're quiet for a few minutes because you're too busy eating. Service was excellent. Drinks were refilled before we even had a chance to ask, sometimes before we finished them. They also offered to-go cups with refills, which is a small detail but says a lot about how attentive and welcoming the staff is. Ambiance is fine. The restaurant is fairly new, but much of the layout feels similar to what used to be there when it was Twisted Grape. The carpeting, tables, bar, and pool table all seem unchanged. The main difference I noticed was the wall decor, which has been updated and fits the new restaurant well. It's comfortable, just not especially memorable, and the atmosphere doesn't quite match how strong the food and service are. Overall, great food and great service easily carry this place. I'd absolutely come back, and I hope they stick around because Cameron could use more spots like this. Four stars. read more

We tried this place for the first time while visiting North Carolina. We were seated right away. We started with their family feast platter, which came with 2 pieces of beef, chicken, lamb over rice with hummus, pita and Greek salad. It was delicious and decent size. See photos below. Note that they charge extra for even a side of hot sauce or any other sauce. Their mint hot tea pot is strong too. It took like 10 minutes for them to make it. Overall a good place and service was not bad except for waiting a while on the tea. Ambiance of the place is okay too. For dessert, we liked their pistachio chocolate cheesecake. It's a bit off the beaten path but definitely worth the trip if you're looking for very good Mediterranean food. The dining area had plenty of seating as well as a separate bar area. Our server was very attentive and made sure we were well taken care of. The food was definitely the highlight. Everything was very well made, flavorful and portions were generous. We finally get to visit this new location for Pharaoh's. We were not disappointed, the food was excellent, very well presented, and absolutely delicious. The Shawarma platter was as good as it ever is, the Lamb was expertly prepared, and the onion rings were light and airy and delicious. The owner was very gracious and hospitable. Placed a pickup order for the next day - something got off in the system around the pickup time, but the staff was on it to get it made! Food was delicious and we're so glad we discovered this place. We the Chicken Shawarma family platter and the kebab family platter and it was a ton of food and yummy. A great addition to the Cameron community! Food is wonderful with flavors that make you want to come right back. We had the King Tut Platter that has a little bit of everything! My wife and I shared the platter and it was plenty. It stays pretty busy, especially between 5:30-7:00. Egor was our waiter and he took great care of us! I have been multiple times so far and the Lamb Gyros meat is so tender and absolutely delish. Also loved the dolmades appetizer. My server's both time were friendly, polite and observant. My mother and I visited Pharoah's yesterday (8Dec) and thoroughly enjoyed the atmosphere, food and service. This was my second visit and it was just as good as the first time. Slow Slow Service. My call in order was still 45 minutes wait time. It was missing salad dressing and extra cucumber dressing ordered. Chicken little bland and over cooked. I frequent the ones Cary/Raleigh area which has a better taste. Ambience was nice, people were outside enjoying the evening weather. Felt like $1 for a tiny side of garlic sauce was a bit much but I still bought it. I substituted the salad that comes with the meal for an upgraded side of spicy hummus and pita. I personally was not a big fan of their regular or spicy hummus and I do usually enjoy hummus. The best falafel I have EVER had! The meats are all juicy, high quality and seasoned to perfection. The portions are well beyond what we were expecting! Robyn was our server and was quick with her service and smile. We will return and request her area.
