The technician who first saw me used state-of-the-art equipment and kindly explained each step of the process, making sure I was comfortable. The eye exam with Dr. Walker was the most thorough and informative I've ever had. He was patient, professional, and made me feel genuinely cared for. While waiting for my eyes to dilate, I met with the optician, who took time to understand my specific needs--how I use my glasses, my work setup, monitor distances, and more. Despite my limited budget, she never rushed me or pressured me into buying something I couldn't afford. She offered many options until we found the right fit. Dr. Walker later checked my eye pressure and explained the results clearly, even offering tips to protect my eyes. Another optician then helped me finalize my lens selection based on my budget and insurance coverage. Though I only purchased lenses this time, I was impressed they welcomed customers bringing their own frames--unlike some places that discourage it or give disclaimers about potential damage. After my check up, Inspired Eyes ordered me samples of both for free. They told me to try them out and to come back in a few weeks to order whichever one felt the most comfortable. After trying them both out, I decided to stay with my daily lenses. When I came back to order them, Dr. Walker wanted to double check the fit one last time. While he was doing this, Lana fixed my sunglasses for free. I ended up placing an order for 90 days of disposable lenses and they arrived 2 days later. I feel like all of this combined is the definition of going above & beyond! Also I feel like it's super important (and comforting) to know your Optometrist cares so much. It finally was, and when I went into The Brick in Kelowna to pick out a new mattress, was informed by sale person that the original one I bought is meant for a child, I'm in my sixties?! Its now been over 3 weeks and still no new mattress:( delivery has been delayed/postponed 3 times now and I'm fed up, as have stripped my bed three times expecting the delivery of new mattress and pick up of original one...the Brick has my money and I have nothing Worst customer service EVER!!

They do not listen to what you're actually looking for and make it exhausting to shop there. There will be one or two decent deals for most things, but a lot of their stuff is priced pretty high. Not a bad thing, but they don't offer anything any different/better to any other store, so I don't see much value in what this store sells. If you want to spend a lot, why not go to a store that had better style? The main problem at this store is their company culture. Not much you can do about that. With so much competition in this business, there's no advantage offered by this company.

I tried to use Costco Optometry like some other Yelpers suggested. It was a zoo, and the nice lady tried to help but had to run back and forth to deal with so many customers, she couldn't recommend a good frame. The selection was really poor too. I am talking maybe 100 pairs total. So off to Iris... now we are into seriously expensive. The girl said there is $100 cash back offer, but the fine print showed that you have to buy every coating known to man to qualify for cash back. So we trudged on back over to Lenscrafters where we have been customers for 7 years. Here are the things you should know : 1. The manager, Jean Paul is so great to deal with. He lent my husband his own glasses to walk around outside and test the transitions lenses. 2. The price compared to Iris for some frames is the same, and many better but the selection is huge. 3. If you can't get in to see the eye doctor, and you buy your glasses and in three months have a prescription change, they redo the lenses for free. 4. I have tested the "if you don't like your glasses return them" a few years ago and they do it with a smile. 5. Katie the great optician spent 45 minutes with our family, and then took photos of us in our top ten glasses so we could compare from on to the other on screen. 6. I noticed the manager inspecting personally every pair of glasses that came out of the lab before he called the owner to fetch them. He sent one pair back because the finish polish wasn't smooth enough... The customer service was fantastic, and they genuinely tried to help me stay in my budget. (With marginal success) And best of all, they reminded me to give them my BCAA membership number and I got 30% off both pairs! So I am back at Lenscrafters a little shamed....

Unable to make lenses to prescription. When I asked them if they checked they said yes. When I…read moreasked them to check on the spot they said lenses were correct. So for a 3rd time I said "so you are telling me the lenses are EXACTLY to the prescription" which is when the answer was "within tolerance". When I asked what tolerance was the verbal dance landed at about .25 ... thats nowhere near exact. I had different opticians measure the lenses and both claimed they do in fact have the equipment and skill to measure exact and that the lenses were not matching the prescription. Iris claimed to remake the lenses only to arrive well off spec again. When I asked for a refund as this was now a 3 month process they refused. Worse they started making up stories that they didnt write the prescription. Yes they did. At that very location, on paper, in hand and with the opticians handwriting on it. He must forget that part. To start lying is just weird and a sad way to conduct business.
