I called about an hour prior to the time I wanted and they gave me a slot. I opted for a 90 minutes Thai massage. It was more like the regular chinese massage but there were some stretching done. They use oil to massage my back and wiped it off with hot towel after. The masseuse had good strength and pressure points which I appreciate. You get slightly lower rates if you pay with cash. Room and restroom were clean and the music was not loud. Overall, I had a good experience getting a massage here.

Before I could even get dressed, I was repeatedly asked how much I was going to tip and was told the tip had to be paid in cash. I had actually planned on leaving a generous tip, but being pressured and demanded to tip immediately changed that. Oh, and let's not forget that they also require you to pay for the massage upfront before the service even begins. When I questioned why I was being pressured over a tip, the employee tried to block the door and insisted that every customer is required to tip. Tipping should be voluntary, and situations like this make the overall experience very uncomfortable. Tipping culture is getting completely out of control, especially at some of these massage parlors.

In a private room, the massage is a set routine with no room for personalization. With English at a minimum, there is no way to explain to work on troubled areas. Lighting is very dim and music is soft. In the same room, the facial takes place with the same person, I think. It's difficult to tell with the dim lighting. During the facial one of the products they used was very oily and it got into my eyes. Additionally, the mask product was still stuck to the sides of my face and nose. When I arrived home, I had to get a warm towel to try to extract the oil from my eyes and scrub the mask from my face. Whatever they use, it's tenacious as it took some scrubbing to remove. While the massage is a standard non-personalized routine, I would return for the massage as the prices are attractive. However, I am unable to recommend the facial due to the application and products that are used. With cash, there is a small discount.

The massage room was…read moresimple, clean and inviting with comfortable temperature and graceful piano melodies playing softly in the background during my session. I received excellent firm pressure from my masseuse as she did a thorough job working on the typical areas (back, shoulders, arms, calves), as well as my hamstrings, head, and a little bit of my feet. The use of her forearms and elbows was effective, and she even found and focused on the knots in my back. Service involved minimal communication, with limited english spoken, both at the front desk and during my treatment. I paid beforehand with a credit card, which included a $2 fee, and tipped in cash afterward. A pretty straightforward process. Parking in the Milpitas Square plaza was a pain. If you have an appointment on a weekend, I recommend coming early and giving yourself enough time to secure a spot.

The therapist was professional enough, the room was clean, and the ambiance was relaxing with decent music and lighting. What brought it down for me was the tipping pressure. She asked for my $20 tip after my session, which felt a bit pushy for the level of service I received. It wasn't bad, but it wasn't memorable either. For the price point, it's an okay option if you're in the area and need something convenient, but I probably won't be rushing back. Solid average experience.

My only qualm with this place is being pushed to tip when we were leaving. The lady at the desk asked if we wanted to tip on the card or cash, so we decided to tip on the card. Once we wrote our amount, she asked if that was for one person or for both. We told her it was for both. She said "oh" and you could hear the disappointment in her voice. She then started talking to the two ladies that massaged us, and one of them said $10 tip is the minimum tip for one person. I don't understand why there was a minimum tip amount, and why it wasn't written anywhere. The tip culture has become extreme, and pushing your customers to tip more is unprofessional. You don't know what someone could afford and putting that pressure on them is not fair. I was disappointed in that.

The massage itself was fine, but the experience afterward left me extremely uncomfortable due to how the tipping situation was handled. At the end of the service, I only had a $10 bill and politely asked if they could make change. It was not because I was unwilling to tip or trying to leave only a $5 tip. I simply needed some of the cash for something else afterward. I was told they did not have change available and was then told I could use Apple Pay instead, which I was willing to do. However, once I mentioned the amount I planned to tip digitally, I was met with the comment, "Oh, the massage is not good enough?" which I found very unprofessional and awkward. At no point did I complain about the massage or say it was not good enough. The interaction made me feel so uncomfortable that I ended up just leaving the full $10 cash tip and leaving. Unfortunately, the way the situation was handled completely changed the tone of the experience for me. I will not be returning, and I truly think staff should handle tipping situations in a more professional and respectful manner.

Unfortunately, the customer service I received over the phone was disappointing. I called because I was interested in becoming a new client and wanted to schedule an appointment. I greeted the receptionist when she answered, but there was no greeting in return. I explained that I was calling to schedule a new-client appointment, and her immediate response was, "OK, what date are you looking at?" I then asked what the schedule looked like, but rather than answering my question, she continued asking what specific days I was looking for. She also interrupted me while I was speaking. The issue was not necessarily the question she asked, but the tone and manner in which they were communicated. It came across as very abrupt, dismissive, and as though assisting me was an inconvenience. At one point, she said, "We are open 7 days a week, so what days are you looking at?" Again, it was the tone and delivery that made the interaction feel unprofessional. At that point, I decided not to move forward with scheduling an appointment and chose to look elsewhere. I understand that everyone can have a busy day, but when someone is calling as a potential new client, a basic level of courtesy and professionalism can make a big difference. Given the positive reviews I had seen, I was expecting a much better first impression.
