First lunch in Switzerland. After 8-days on a cruise, I need my Asian food. This place does not look very appealing from the outside or the inside. It's a small place than can accommodate about 24-seats. Base on my US Thai experience, I would say the food is very authentic; just by looking at the ladies cooking in the kitchen. They remind me of my grandparents. The food is not Spicy Hot, but they give you a variety of sauce to spicy it up to your liking. Although the gentlemen did come abruptly and did seem condescending, it is a personality of an individual in a foreign place. Some people are not as fluid in their communication as others and therefore try to say the right words is not as simple. I would give it a try with an open mind read more

STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE. GO TO THE OTHER THAI PALCES NEARBY. Just like what others said. Stay away from this place. They will not serve your order correct and they'll argue to justify. According to them, when you order pad thai with tofu, the tofu serving is small so they added other veggies like carrots, broccoli, cabbage, with some sautee, so the pad thai tasted is ruined. Looks like they had extra veggies from my order pad see ew and decided to add to the pad thai that came late. The server in the photo said, next time my friend order she should say tofu without veggies. We told him, how would we know if it's cleanly in the menu that the meat option is tofu not tofu with veggies. My friend ended up not eating the food and leaving it there even if the restaurant charged us all. We didn't want to argue anymore, we just wanted to get out of the place. read more

The #1 rated Thai restaurant in Lucerne Switzerland, according to Yelp readers. Not saying much if only a handful of Thai restaurants listed. There are actually three Phanat Thai restaurants all within a few feet of each other. This one is upstairs, and is the more presentable version of the downstairs take out café, even with bare walls. There are pictures and artifacts of the old country. Our CHF20.50 pad thai was pretty standard in taste, but the presentation was spectacular. Served in bowl resembling a dragon boat, with 6 medium shrimp on the sides, rice noodles in the center, topped with bean sprouts, with crushed nuts on the edge of the dish, topped with a lemon. Not as good a shrimp as Yun Nan. Asked for medium spicy, but next get high spiciness, to give it more kick, if ordering it again. The CHF22 spicy chicken with rice, came with hot chili peppers, red peppers, green peppers, amid shredded chicken. Topped off with an over easy egg. Good presentation, and one of the best basil chicken dishes I've tasted at a Thai restaurant. Ordered a CHF4 Sprite, otherwise would have paid CHF2, or $2.14, for each glass of tap water! read more

There are quite a few Thai options nearby. This place is best avoided. The wait stuff was rude as they come. I have never seen a Thai restaurant waitress behaving this way. The food was below average at best. I tried their green chicken curry which tasted stale and the Thai iced coffee was very watery. The only thing going for them is that they are in the heart of tourist district of Luzerne. read more

We went to this restaurant which was close to our hotel. We had our service dog with us, and in Switzerland, as in the US, service dogs must be allowed. There were only two tables seated, despite it being Carnival. They refused to seat us, and the owner was extremely rude. Avoid it. read more

Not bad. Red curry was great. Rest was average. Those I was with and who had meat loved the chicken but said the shrimp was really bad.

Best green curry I've eaten! Lovely ladies! Fast service, our food came after probably 10 mins-15mins

We had to have Asian food after so many days of "rice drought". Found this place while we were in Lucerne. The ladies running the place spoke Thai, so, that was the first good sign. We had the green curry, sweet and sour pork, radna, stir fried minced pork. The food was cooked in the kitchen at the back just like home cooked food, and was served pretty quickly. Although not the best Thai food we've had, the food flavor was pretty good. The minced pork was good but probably needed just a hint more if Thai basil leave flavor. The green curry was overtly spicy, none of us could really tolerate it except for my husband. The radna was good. The sweet and sour pork was ok (tasted more like a Chinese dish than a Thai dish). Toilet at this place was small but clean. I would recommend this place if you are yearning for Thai food. read more

So while here in Luzern with my niece (who loves Thai food) we were able to enjoy this gem !! Just checked Yelp and read the reviews, went and found. We were completely satisfied. I cannot comment on the food yet as it's been 45 minutes waiting for the food and dealing with Uber eats customer service AFTER REPEATEDLY CALLING THE DELIVERY PERSON. Even Uber eats representative called the delivery person who did not pick up the phone. Clearly food "takeaway" in Switzerland do not have manners, respect, nor care about making money and their paying customers. I cannot wait to go back to USA. This is pathetic. read more

Amazing thai food in Lucerne Switzerland. Little on the pricey side but authentic flavor. Good portion size. Entrees are around 17 to 20 Swiss francs. In the US these would be 10 to 15 dollars. But if you're looking for something different from your usual touristy Swiss German food this place is excellent. They have seating for about 25 people so around 4 to 5 tables. Menu is in English and german. We got pad Thai and chicken Kra Pow both were yummy and filling. They have beer for 5 Swiss francs again very reasonable. It is in a small alley across a silver shop so hard to miss. They also have free wifi and a restroom. Five stars all the way. read more

It's almost sad how much Asian food we had while we were in Switzerland. But on a cold day, I definitely have a soft spot for soup. Both of us were craving noodle soup, so we were super happy when we stumbled across this place! Prices seemed reasonable (RELATIVELY, since everything in Switzerland is expensive especially when it comes to food). But even then, you're looking at about a $20/person meal. I thought it was worth though. I got the chicken noodle soup, and it really hit the spot! Soup was delicious. Lots of flavor but not too oily. It was clean and soothing. Meat was ok (I never really like meat in my noodle soups usually). Noodles were good--pretty standard...good serving size though. They also have free wifi here, which is a plus! After a week in Switzerland, I needed an "Asian meal fix". Found this restaurant and was pleasantly surprised. I ordered Tom Yum Chicken and Pad Thai tofu. Both were fantastic! The Tom Yum soup was one of the best I have had outside of Thailand! Highly recommended. Prices are on the high side but large portion sizes. The soup came with white rice and easily feed 2 people. We were craving Thai food that was quick and easy and this place was the right choice after searching the area.
