The #1 rated Thai restaurant in Lucerne Switzerland, according to Yelp readers. Not saying much if only a handful of Thai restaurants listed. There are actually three Phanat Thai restaurants all within a few feet of each other. This one is upstairs, and is the more presentable version of the downstairs take out café, even with bare walls. There are pictures and artifacts of the old country. Our CHF20.50 pad thai was pretty standard in taste, but the presentation was spectacular. Served in bowl resembling a dragon boat, with 6 medium shrimp on the sides, rice noodles in the center, topped with bean sprouts, with crushed nuts on the edge of the dish, topped with a lemon. Not as good a shrimp as Yun Nan. Asked for medium spicy, but next get high spiciness, to give it more kick, if ordering it again. The CHF22 spicy chicken with rice, came with hot chili peppers, red peppers, green peppers, amid shredded chicken. Topped off with an over easy egg. Good presentation, and one of the best basil chicken dishes I've tasted at a Thai restaurant. Ordered a CHF4 Sprite, otherwise would have paid CHF2, or $2.14, for each glass of tap water!

We had to have Asian food after so many days of "rice drought". Found this place while we were in Lucerne. The ladies running the place spoke Thai, so, that was the first good sign. We had the green curry, sweet and sour pork, radna, stir fried minced pork. The food was cooked in the kitchen at the back just like home cooked food, and was served pretty quickly. Although not the best Thai food we've had, the food flavor was pretty good. The minced pork was good but probably needed just a hint more if Thai basil leave flavor. The green curry was overtly spicy, none of us could really tolerate it except for my husband. The radna was good. The sweet and sour pork was ok (tasted more like a Chinese dish than a Thai dish). Toilet at this place was small but clean. I would recommend this place if you are yearning for Thai food.

I got the pahd Ka pao, chicken. It was GREAT! Juicy chicken, delicious sauce. Authentic Thai food. A must try! Service was also great and you get Free WiFi!

This place was amazing !!!! I don't get to enjoy much Thai food at home because my husband never wants to eat anything other then the typical pizza or a sandwich. So while here in Luzern with my niece (who loves Thai food) we were able to enjoy this gem !! Just checked Yelp and read the reviews, went and found. We were completely satisfied. Small and quaint inside, owners were friendly and of coarse food was spectacular!! Highly recommend!

If you are looking for a cozy place to get out of the cold and for delicious food that will wake up your tastebuds come to Phanat Thai. The green papaya salad (Som Tum) was spiced just right. It made me feel like I was back in Bangkok or Chang Mai. The stir fried chicken or pork Phad Med-Mamuang) is delicious. I can highly recommend it.

    Menu outside restaurant.

Amazing thai food in Lucerne Switzerland. Little on the pricey side but authentic flavor. Good portion size. Entrees are around 17 to 20 Swiss francs. In the US these would be 10 to 15 dollars. But if you're looking for something different from your usual touristy Swiss German food this place is excellent. They have seating for about 25 people so around 4 to 5 tables. Menu is in English and german. We got pad Thai and chicken Kra Pow both were yummy and filling. They have beer for 5 Swiss francs again very reasonable. It is in a small alley across a silver shop so hard to miss. They also have free wifi and a restroom. Five stars all the way.

Yummy! I had the Pham Gra Phrao with beef and my husband had it with chicken. The flavor was great, and the server was friendly. My beef had some gristly pieces, but other than that, it was great!

Not bad. Red curry was great. Rest was average. Those I was with and who had meat loved the chicken but said the shrimp was really bad.

I was going through…read morerice and Thai food withdrawals while traveling in Switzerland and, in our search, for a place to eat, we stumbled into Prik Thai--and what a find. My husband speaks Thai so that was good but the server spoke some English. We ordered Pad Thai (we usually steer clear of it in the states because they make it too sweet in most Thai restaurants but the server convinced my husband), Massaman curry, chicken and vegetables stir fry, papaya salad, and drunken noodles. Everything was delicious and what we expected, except for the drunken noodles--they were completely different to what we were used to but still very good. I am very glad that the server convinced my husband to get the Pad Thai because it was amazing. My favorite, however, was the Massaman curry; combined with the rice, it was absolute heaven. I was happy. The food is great, prices are very good, and service is quick and friendly. Our family was in their very happy place and ready to explore more of Luzern.

Yelp Review 2026 #44:…read more We came to Prik Thai because of multiple factors: it was close to our hotel, we wanted food with flavor, it's highly rated on all review websites, and it had been raining all day. I saw pictures of their Pad Thai and it looked the same as the Pad Thai I would eat in Bangkok. So, I knew what I was going to get even before getting here. We walked past this restaurant several times to/from the hotel and there's always a lot of people. It just has to be good. The restaurant is small with maybe 10 tables. To see the menu and place your order, scan the QR code. Our server brought us our drinks and she asked us if we placed our food order and we had to show her what we ordered. A few minutes later, our food arrived. But we didn't have plates. We asked for plates and the server seemed confused. We were too. Are we supposed to eat straight from the plate the food came in on?!? Chicken Pad Thai: Looked legit. Piping hot. I cut the egg-wrapped pad Thai in half to let the steam out. It had red onions which changed the flavor. This was a cross between pad see ew and pad Thai. It had a smokey/ barbecue-esque flavor to it. The portion was massive - it can be shared by 2 people. Did not finish. 2/5 Spring Rolls: It comes with 3 per order. Piping hot as well. Very oily. All I could taste was oil. Did not finish. 2/5 We waited over 30 minutes after we gave up eating to get our check so we could leave. But all the employees took their dinner break all at the same time. We had to walk to the counter so somebody could acknowledge us. Our server, who was still chewing, asked us if we wanted our leftovers to-go. It wasn't good when it was still hot and fresh. It certainly won't be good cold. My hair and my clothes smelled like cooking oil after.

The restaurant itself is quite small and at dinner time only one single staff at the front. We had a wait a bit before she was able to clear the table. It also took her a bit of time before they were able to take our orders as there were couple other tables in front of us that just sat down. Despite the initial slow service once our food got here everything was good. The portion size was quite nice the white rice was definitely bigger bowl than I expected. The quality of the food was quite nice about what I had expected very comparable to good Thai restaurants here in NYC. The price was definitely a shock at first as with most restaurants here in Switzerland however compare to other places it's quite modest at around 20-30 CHF for main entrees. Definitely a good choice if you looking for Thai food here at Luzern. Better to ask ahead if you're a larger group however as the place is rather small probably only sits 5-6 tables total.
