My first brazilian in MTL took an agonizing 50 minutes, and that has never ever happened to me. I came here upon recommendation of a friend, and honestly I'm never going anywhere else again. I was in and out in 7 minutes, FULLY waxed. Things you need to keep in mind though: 1) You can't come without a reservation, and you have to text--not call-- to get one. She's usually fully booked so make sure to do so in advance. 2) this isn't your beauty spa experience, the place is very basic. Its clean, and for me that's the most important thing. 3) bring cash, she doesn't take card! 4) be prepared to undress in front of her, its not like other places where the aesthetician leaves the room and comes back to see you. Don't go anywhere else, trust.

This is what happened to me today, she unfinished the epilation of half of 1 armpit and left a lot of redness with bumps. I went to another salon right after, the technician finished what Julir left in only 10 minutes and left no such irritiation. Julie will give you attitude and low quality service. What I loved about this salon is they went above and beyond to make me happy and it was such a wonderful welcome to the French Canadian people. Benoit and Daniele beautifully styled our hair. First let me tell you how they treated us with EXCEPTIONAL FULL SERVICE. I was in a terrible time crunch and did not have time to do my nails so they brought me a nail file, acetone, and I did my own nails while they were doing my hair. They also brought us a big standing makeup light and let us stay in the styling chairs after they were done so that we could do our makeup. And to top it off, a glass of champagne or a beverage of your choice to only make things better! Finally and most importantly, Benoit and Daniele did a beautiful job on our hair! They were both so diligent and skilled. We have long thick ethnic hair and even though it probably took them much more time than the average set of hair to style, they charged us such a reasonable amount. I loved my experience. They are a relatively new business and imagine they will grow a set of loyal clientele quickly based on their exceptional service.

The masseuese was a true professional who knew what they were doing. My aching back was feeling so much better after. When you go to this spa you are free to come as early as you like or stay as late as you want after your treatment in order to enjoy the rooftop indoor pool, sauna, steam room, gym, or relaxation room. I never felt rushed and they encouraged me to stay as long as I wanted. The changing room was nice and had showers with soap, shampoo, etc. They can also provide you with deoderant, a shaving kit, and a toothbrush kit if asked. Along with the robe and slippers they loan you at check-in, you really do not need to bring anything. The relaxation room has bottled water, fancy teas and some nuts and dried fruit. In the end, with local pricing, it was not too expensive. They have monthly promotions so be sure to sign up for their newsletter. The service was the best of any spa ive been to and I look forward to returning again and again.

After I found out that Sephora stocks Korres products I headed over to the new store in Fairview,…read morePointe Claire. Apparently Sephora Quebec doesn't stock Korres but Ontario stores do, due to packaging regulations (i.e language, as Korres products are in Greek and English) Completely ridiculous and another reason consumers will always find a way to buy elsewhere if they don't get access to what they want. So I can shop online at SkinStore.com and only pay 5$ shipping from the USA for an entire order. Apart from that, Sephora did have a great selection of brands, not all girly, if you know what you are looking for. Staff were very helpful and love to to direct you to the $150 creams (sorry couldn't resist). I would recommend researching the brands first though, many may just be in there because they have compliant packaging rather than really being the best brands you can buy. Many were missing in the store from the Sephora website. The prices seemed inline with elsewhere i.e. Dr. Hauschka prices were the same as Olgivy's, but again, I would compare as some products may have a premium attached to the price simply because you can't readily get access to that brand elsewhere in Montreal. Another thing that sucks is that on the Sephora website orders in the US over 50$ are free, however Canadian orders it's over $150 to get free shipping, Again, check out skinstore.com
