I was told it would be about 10 days until they were ready. The gentleman I spoke with said he would text me when they were ready. After about 2 weeks I gave them a call and was told they had a part time person helping out who hadn't shown up for a few days, so they were a bit behind. However, he did tell me they would ensure my slacks were ready the next day by 1pm. Went and picked up the slacks and saw what wonderful work they did. Very clean hems and the pants were also pressed and hanged. The folks here do great work. The cost for the hems was $18.50/pair, which initially was a bit more than I expected, but after seeing the work, I realize is totally worth it. I will definitely be going back and giving them all my tailoring business.

As a petite, almost every pair of pants, jeans, or dresses has to be shortened, and the work from Nora Dang has been consistent, and reasonably priced. Turnaround is usually a week. I recently had an issue with a pair of jeans I had altered at the shop that were not evenly hemmed so I took the jeans back in and showed the uneven hems. There was not a problem with getting the alteration corrected, which was nice. In almost 20 years or so that I've been using Nora Dang, I think the price increase for my alterations has only gone up a dollar. The shop is on Rt. 88, and if you're not really looking for it, you'll miss it. The parking is the only bad thing about Nora Dang's shop due to a tight parking pad adjacent to the building. There are a few spots right in front the shop but with the traffic on Rt. 88, that can be a pain.

I brought my dress to her to examine and she gave it to me straight -- that is was really messed up, but that it was fixable. I had already paid for the original alterations, so was conscious of price. When she gave me the final total it was absolutely reasonable for the amount of work she did, including having to add materials to the dress itself. I think some people think that alterations should be cheap because sometimes you can get that from a dry cleaner, but in real life that type of quality work takes time and you definitely pay for what you get. The store itself is in a bit of an awkward spot off of Rt 51, but the inside is very spacious, clean, and has a great area for you to try on your dress under great lighting! One note is that she only accepts cash or checks. I will definitely be back for more alterations in the future. If you ever need a complete pro to alter or hem anything, whether it be a dress, pants, or fur coat, Anita is your lady!
