Had no problems using my Groupon. Class was great, he brings in lots of scenarios of when to engage or be a good witness.

A special night out with incredible live jazz…read more I've lived in Colorado for 4 years and can't believe it took me this long to experience Nocturne. I went on a Friday night with my mom I'd just gotten my hair done and wanted to do something fun, a little fancy, and different from the usual dinner spot. It absolutely delivered. First: parking in RiNo is rough. Plan ahead. My reservation was at 8:30 PM and I arrived almost 45 minutes early just looping the area. Eventually found street parking but give yourself time so you're not stressed walking in. The exterior is beautiful mural artwork, elegant entrance, very polished. Once inside, you're greeted, there's coat check and the entire space feels intimate and elevated without being stuffy. It's romantic but not pretentious. I'd go here for a date, a birthday, or just to treat someone special. We did the three-course prix fixe experience (around $150 per person, 25% gratuity included -- that's required for reservations). It felt worth it for the full experience. Food highlights: * I tried the steak tartare for the first time. raw beef and egg, served in a crispy potato nest. Very outside my comfort zone, but beautifully presented and well executed. * My mom had the grilled octopus and loved it. * For entrées, I ordered the Branzino (10/10) and she had the duck she raved about it. * The risotto was slightly underdone but not enough to ruin the dish. * Dessert was a passionfruit tarte. very tart and tangy (true to its name!). * For my birthday, they surprised us with a vanilla dessert that was honestly incredible. Also worth mentioning: their non-alcoholic options are phenomenal. I had the "Kitten Heels" mocktail (10/10), and their non-alcoholic rosé genuinely tasted like the real thing. As someone who appreciates thoughtful zero-proof options, this stood out. The live music was the star of the night. The performers were incredibly talented! the vocals, the breath control, the instrumentation! it felt immersive. The only thing I'll say is the crowd was a little low-energy. My mom and I were the only ones really moving in our seats, tapping along, enjoying it visibly. I wanted more people to feel it! Overall, this is a beautiful spot for live jazz, elevated dining, and a romantic or celebratory night out. If you love cultural, artsy experiences and live music, this is absolutely worth it. I'll definitely be back.

Date night done right -- if you know where to look…read more Dazzle has been on my radar for a while, and finally going with my husband for a show did not disappoint. Tucked inside the Denver Performing Arts Complex at 1080 14th Street, the space has a jazzy, intimate feel that somehow still delivers impressive surround sound for live music. For a room that seats around 140, the acoustics are genuinely good -- the kind that make you lean in and actually listen. The performance itself was well DAZZLING, FANTASTIC, MEMORABLE, POWERUL, and the layout of the space contributes to that. Dazzle is a serious listening room, and they ask that you keep conversation minimal during the music -- which I appreciated. It sets a tone. This isn't background noise; it's the main event. A note on the food and drink: there's a two-item minimum per person, which I understand and respect. Tickets support the artists; the minimum supports the venue. That said, we ordered the charcuterie board and I'll be honest -- for what was on the board, the price felt a little steep. Wouldn't order it again. What did win me over, unexpectedly, was the hot tea selection. I don't drink much, and having a beautiful, thoughtfully curated tea menu was a small but memorable touch. I'm already thinking about what I'll try at our next show. Dazzle is a great pick for date nights, jazz lovers, or anyone who wants a real night out in Denver -- not just dinner and a movie. With 60 to 70 shows a month across jazz, blues, R&B, and more , there's always a reason to go back.

The cheesy grits? Comfort food perfection. Waffles made to order? Yes, please. It's the kind of menu that makes everyone at the table feel like they won brunch. And then... the music. Alex Trujillo's Bossa Duo set the vibe just right -- smooth, breezy, sophisticated without being stuffy. It felt like we'd stumbled into a little pocket of Rio in Denver. Super chill, easy conversation, toe-tapping in your seat energy. Service was warm, attentive, and genuinely welcoming...the kind where you never have to flag anyone down but also don't feel rushed. If you're looking for a brunch that feels elevated but still relaxed (and delicious across the board), Dazzle absolutely delivers. We'll be back!

Seat 48 was in the literal middle and at eye level w the musicians so it was perfect. I did pay scalper prices (3x) for them though (AXS fees were ridiculous). We came prepared with 18" wide seat cushions (they were crazy about enforcing the size at the gate w a ruler). I did my research and we showed up early, like 4:30p to tailgate. Picked up some sandwiches from Carmine Lonardo's to go with some wine; they were perfect. We chose to park in the Lower South Lot to be closer to the stage since we had lower seats, but instead of walking up to the ramp, we came across and took the complimentary shuttle to the Upper North lot entrance FOR THE WIN, as we would only have to deal with going down stairs instead of the hill to get to the South side ramp. Leaving the venue though was a bit of a challenge. Actually, a bit of a clusterfuck. We didn't even try to turn on the car and just sat in the parking lot for about 30 minutes to let the other cars clear out. Overall, great experience and would definitely do it again.

The views, atmosphere, and energy of the crowd are something you really have to experience for yourself. We took an Uber and got dropped off right near the entrance. We arrived around 7 PM, got through the line quickly, and still found great seats in the middle-upper section. The food and drinks were reasonably priced, and I liked that the show started early and ended around midnight. Red Rocks is definitely a bucket-list venue. Whether it's a concert, yoga, or another event, it's worth experiencing at least once. I can't wait to go back!

The art studio building is accessible from a side door of the gallery. Many of the studio artists open their spaces for visits from the public on First Fridays. This is definitely one of the most consistently interesting galleries on Santa Fe Drive. You should certainly check it out during any visit to the Art District.
