Yes, there's a limited selection, but the staff will do what they can to help; there's also a pretty awesome meat counter and bakery, and greenhouse/landscaping supplies. This is always the first place I go when venturing out in Putnam County-have to support the local business if you want it there. Last Thanksgiving holiday, they closed early the day before due to slow business, I went there about 1 hour before normal closing time to get a ham, I hadnt got it for Thanksgiving dinner yet. I went to the owners house to see if he knew cashiers closed early. He said yes, he knew. Now with all stores closing early in town I thought I was going to have to drive into Bellfontaine for our dinner. The owner drove straight up to his store and let me in to shop for things I needed for the holiday dinner. He went out of his way letting me go in after closing time. I paid him back making him homemade cherry cheesecake. Downtown market is the greatest store around Lakeview Oh, I go there everyday.................................

But if you need things cheap, this is your place. It's not really the cleanliness of floors that's a problem. Accessibility isn't a problem. And I don't mind the idea of paying to use a plastic bag (I called it a "stupid tax" when I got back to the home of my friends when I forgot mine one day). No, it's just so...meh. I don't expect every grocery to be like Remke's here in Florence when I'm out of town. That's a near impossible standard to live up to, and you'd have to do everything right all the time. And this Save-A-Lot is not perfect. Not horrible, but not close to perfection, either. What would I change about it? Well, it's not exactly organized chaos. It's more like...general, disorganized chaos. Part of this may have been just me adjusting to a new store, but part of it is that things I expected to see in one place, weren't there but were in a totally different place. Really? I'm pretty sure I saw shampoo next to food. That doesn't belong! AUGH! Overall, 2/5. I can't go higher, but it's not a 1 either. Meh sums it up.
