It was coming from behind the wall of a shower Sure Fix installed. The light fixture fell off the wall. I had a professional electrician come in and he stated the light fixture and several outlets were in installed incorrectly. A plumber came in to repair the shower but stated Sure Fix should be responsible for fixing my ceiling. Whenever I tried calling the secretary stated I would receive a call back because the owner was in Lebanon on vacation etc. unfortunately my husband took ill and passed and I finally called Sure Fix back. As soon as the owner left the house I received an expected bill and asking for half payment immediately. I called and stated I am a widow and senior citizen and do not feel comfortable paying in advance. I was told 'it was ok'. The next day the secretary called and was extremely rude and stated that Sure Fix would not be doing any work for me with no explanation. I asked to speak to Henry the owner and I was the is too busy doing sales.

Sure Fix's performance was decidedly mixed, and we would not hire them again. 1) 5-6 WEEKS LONGER THAN ESTIMATED Before selecting Sure Fix, Henry the owner told us the project would take TWO TO THREE weeks. In reality, they took EIGHT WEEKS, or 3-4 times longer than the estimate. 2) LATENESS NOT DUE TO ADDITIONAL WORK We added and subtracted work items after the work began, and the net cost of additional work only totaled about 20% more than the original price--a workload justifying only a few days of extra labor, and not a 5-6 week overrun. 3) ON MANY DAYS, DID NO WORK ON OUR PROJECT There were many days when only 1 or 2 workmen worked for just a few hours, and at least 10 entire days when no workmen came at all. This was a matter of health for me, as I have asthma and was adversely affected by the dust that the prolonged work period exposed me to. 4) THEY JUGGLE MANY JOBS AT THE SAME TIME Tony, the project manager, justified his periodic abandonment of our project by writing: "We have several jobs going on and we have to be fair to everyone." We felt, however, that being fair to us would mean completing our project, without gaps of inactivity, in 2-3 weeks as promised--but that did not happen. Instead, Tony wrote on a day when no work happened: "I have other jobs to do." 5) MADE MAJOR MISTAKES COSTING US TIME AND/OR MONEY Among other mistakes, a whole week was lost when Sure Fix erred by ordering a custom countertop made of the wrong material. In the end, Henry charged us an extra $1,500 for the substitute higher-grade material we ultimately selected, but we would have been happy with our previous choice for $1,500 less. 6) STOPPED COMMUNICATING AFTER LAST PAYMENT, LEAVING WORK UNDONE After we made final payment, we could see that final touch-ups had been done with the wrong paint, and those touch-ups now required touching-up themselves. I texted Tony several times and left a voice mail for Henry to schedule the fixes still due, but neither of them bothered to answer me. SUMMARY Their workmen were friendly and the work was generally good. But on balance, we would certainly not hire Sure Fix again. Photos of some of the work that Sure Fix left uncorrected are attached.

It started as a very basic idea, then Will and his team came back with a fantastic design and now a magnificent installed door that exceeded expectations... everything was taken into account - additional support for the heavy door, timing of the heavy door-swing for the pivot design; no stone was left unturned. Will approaches a project with a very inventive eye - to conform to a particular building code he manages to find a way that pushes the design forward, where others may stumble and sacrifice some of the design element. He is decisive and knowledgeable, with a very strong sense of clean design. Will renovated the Hotel Easton into the beautiful rooms and spaces you see there now - clean, functional, lovely. Spaces are all well thought-out with your goals in mind. Will is an excellent architect; you won't be disappointed.

They arrived when expected, protected the the rest of our room during demo and installation, and always cleaned up at the end of the day. Rich Kessler, the Project Manager, was very communicative, and kept the job running smoothly. He listened to concerns and paid attention to the details. He kept track of follow-up issues due to supply-chain problems with the door manufacturer. Mr. Kessler never forgot about these details and came back twice to finish these minor issues when supplies became available. Great! Also, Richard Beatty did an amazing job with the finish carpentry, gave some helpful tips for staining our project and even a few sample pieces of wood on which to practice. These little extras go a long way to ensuring a beautiful result. We could not be more pleased.

I experienced and agree with all the comments of other victims of this fraud. Terrell doesn't know what he's doing and does poor, sloppy work. He never starts on time and you have to keep reaching out to him to confirm when he's coming. He never completed either of the jobs I contracted him to do, even after I paid him. This just shows how dishonest, untrustworthy, and devious he is. I asked him to close underneath my deck with lattice. He didn't build a frame for the lattice and he used zip ties to connect the ends. What a joke. He was supposed to replace the trim on my garage doors. He pulled the rubber stripping off and when I asked him what was he doing, he didn't have a clue. I had already given him money to buy the supplies when he told me Home Depot and Loews didn't have it. I met him at Home Depot, picked out the garage panels, and paid for it. When I went to inspect his work, the fool had installed them backwards. I asked was he high, drunk or both. Again, he gave me a clueless look. He uninstalled then reinstalled them correctly. In doing so, he cracked one of them. Instead of replacing it, he just installed it with the crack. I asked him was he going to caulk the seems but he never returned. I'm not contacting him anymore and I will just file this as a charity donation but warn everyone else to run fast in the opposite direction before hiring this guy to do anything to home.

Tim was very responsive to my email, his prices were reasonable, and he scheduled our survey quickly - in fact, he came out the day we made settlement on our new house and staked the property that afternoon. Several weeks later after we had a fence installed, our neighbor claimed the fence was on her property. We contacted Mr. Johnson and he assured us his survey was accurate and that we should hold our ground (literally) and consult a lawyer. We had this conversation multiple times with him but he repeatedly insisted his survey was accurate so we consulted a lawyer and pushed back on the neighbors claim. Throughout several months of legal haggling where we regularly checked and double checked with Mr. Johnson, he maintained his survey was correct. A few days before we were supposed to appear in court against the neighbor, Timothy B. Johnson sent an email to us and our attorney saying his survey was inaccurate by 9 feet on both the left and right side of our yard. 9 FEET!!!! He advised us to move the fence and said he would pay for it. We have that in writing. Obviously we were angry but we paid the neighbor and requested the reimbursement from Mr. Johnson. People make mistakes and we tried to keep the attitude of: "OK, he finally admitted it. He can reimburse us and make it right and we move on. It stinks but it happens. We are all human" Well - of course when we reached out for reimbursement, Mr. Johnson balked. He said since our neighbor didn't name him directly in her suit, we could -- and I quote -- "go pound sand." The neighbor had no way of knowing who our surveyor was so of course she didn't name him directly. Timothy B. Johnson refused to pay even after admitting his wrong doing. We took Mr. Johnson to court; but he never bothered to show up so we were awarded a default summary judgement because again, we had evidence of him admitting he was wrong. He never paid us. We asked the court for a lien against his property but the business addresses he lists for Johnson Surveying are not owned by Timothy B. Johnson directly so we cannot use that avenue as recourse for payment. Timothy B. Johnson works in New York, Pennsylvania, and Florida. He continues to run a surveying company. He is unprofessional, irresponsible, and untrustworthy. Do not hire this person. (timbjohnson@rcn.com)
