The tortillas tasted very fresh and had a little crispiness from the grill, which I liked. The meat was perfectly cooked and had a really nice grilled flavor. I originally came for a quesadilla, which I got. But an additional menu item, Taco de Chapulin, caught my eye! A taco de chapulin is a grasshopper taco! So well seasoned and had a great balance due to the cactus. Crumbled cheese inside too that wasn't overly salty as the grasshoppers seasoned everything. Not a crazy crunch as you might think, it was tender. I even tried the grasshoppers by itself and was amazed at how flavorful it was. This won't be my last time ordering this! The ambiance of Mitote has always been welcoming. On the weekends or nights I heard there's music and dancing. But the community buzz is flowing in the air at Mitote.
