When I think about my experience with b. blanton design, I think of the word "exceptional." I had…read morelived in my home for nearly two years, yet my very busy schedule meant I was living more like a college student than a functioning adult. That also meant that I needed someone who could not only bring in ideas and a good eye for design, but also who could handle the details, coordinate with vendors, and provide a full-service package. Brittney and Lauren did an outstanding job in our 9 months working together. They took the time to understand what I liked, what was important to me, and what was a good fit for the space. I'm a nitpicky person, and they were very flexible and willing to hear and accommodate my feedback on selections, yet they also knew how to bring me down to earth when my ideas got a little crazy. Their communication was clear and consistent, and I felt that I could always reach out with questions and concerns. Now, when I look around my home, a smile always comes to my face. I feel like I have a real home--a beautiful home--and I have b. blanton design to thank for that. It's been a worthwhile investment, and I hope I can call on them again soon.

We were so pleased with the architectural design piece she created that we also used her to help select finishes. The finished product is perfection. Thank you, Brittney!

BUYERS BEWARE We are…read morenotifying the public that we are not recommending Cannon Creative to paint your home. Here is why: On June 18, 2017(Sunday), Cannon Creative was hired to start a 5-day painting project, with the project completion ETA of June 26 (including touch-ups). We were told to buy enough paint(we had purchased Sherwin-Williams Showcase paint, a stain-blocking and primer paint) to cover two(2) coats on every wall. They also stated that they do not tape their edges, but rather cut-in the lines. We have pics showing how poorly that turned out. Here is Cannon Creative's schedule during the project: Day 1 (Sunday, 6/18): prepped and started a little painting for a couple of hours. Day 2 (Monday 6/19): showed up at 9am and left at 2pm Day 3 (Tuesday 6/20): Noon (with no call or text indicating they were running late) and left at 2pm Day 4 (Wednesday 6/21): Showed up at 10:30a, left at 2pm Day 5 (Thursday 6/22): No show allegedly due to other projects Day 6 (Friday 6/23): showed up at 3p-left at 5pm After the initial week, Samantha C***** said she would return to touchup. In good faith, we paid the remaining balance owed on 6/23, via check. She arrived Monday 7/10, performed about five hours of touch up work, then left, saying she would let us know when she would be back at the end of the week. During that time we noticed more and more that the quality of her work was very poor. Friday, 7/14 came and went, with no call or notification. I had told Samantha to not come back for the touchups, but give us $500 to cover the cost of the leftover paint and the labor that we would have to perform to complete the work. She refused, so I requested she come back to finish the touchups. She never coordinated a visit to do so, despite me texting and calling her twice. Upon "Completion", we still have half the paint unused. Cannon Creative insists they put a second coat down. They also stated that the original paint (new-build house) was of cheap quality and that, plus the drywall, "drank up" the color, producing the results we now have. When we had three(3) professional painting contractors review the work, they all stated that only one coat was applied, citing both the amount of visible strokes and touchups required, as well as the remaining amount of paint. They also said that it would take a full week (5 days, 8 hours each) to apply one coat. Cannon Creative insists they laid down two coats despite never putting in a full day of work that entire week. After that, I emailed her on 8/14, indicating that we would be contacting the BBB and filing a lawsuit with Small Claims Court for $1200 (half the amount we had paid them, since they only did half the work). She responded that she was not going to work with us at all(sic). Shortly after this communication, I received a call from her subcontractor/uncle Dan P******, who came over and walked the house with us. He looked at all rooms, stated that the flashing we saw was because of poor drywall and paint quality form the house contractors (stating again that they had double coated everything), and said he would return to reroll almost all the rooms for free. Week after week went by with him promising to try to get to us, but always cancelling or pushing us back. Finally, on Friday, 9/29, I requested Dan P****** to commit to a date to get this done. He responded that this "visit" was to be a favor, not a requirement, and now they will not be setting foot in our house. On 10/4, Samantha contacted me via phone to offer $600 to resolve this issue. I talked to Tiffany and we decided that $600 was not enough to correct the issues with their work (we needed $1200). Although I had told Samantha I would call her with our reply, I emailed her instead, so as to document the answer for clarity and future reference. I also texted her, stating that our reply was in email form for clarity, and to reply back or we will be escalating this to the BBB and small claims court. We received no reply, and proceeded to report Cannon Creative to the Better Business Bureau. Cannon Creative had ignored all three inquiries from the BBB, and has received a D+ rating on the BBB website. We have finally hired a second contractor to apply a second coat. Of course, the walls now look perfect. We were extremely disappointed in the quality of this company's work, and very surprised at the utter disregard to our complaint or the reputation of the company in the aftermath. We never saw any compensation for the poor quality of Cannon Creative's work. We HIGHLY recommend that you DO NOT hire this company to perform any work. You will be treated condescendingly despite your factual and valid claims, and finally ignored. You can certainly do better than hire Cannon Creative. P.S. We have text messages, pictures, and emails to back up all of the above claims. Please look elsewhere for painters.
