It all seemed so comforting and assuring for my sweet pupper and for me as a new dog mom having to leave her for an overnight. Individually play, beds, tv, etc...The afternoon of the first day i look in on their web cam and she is just lonely looking on the bed...hours go by and she hasn't moved. I see it in her face that there isn't any stimulating interaction. I couldn't stop myself from breaking down and crying. They took two pictures of her on a potty break but my husband and I kept checking in and no more pictures, the web cam only showed a lonely dog in a darkish room. Was it torture? No. It looked and felt like I put her in solitary confinement. I need to board her again next month for a longer time and if I put her back in there, I would be a bad dog mom. read more

Looks like my crazy kitten has evolved into his Wilde Cat form (haha!). He had himself banned from the vet next door because he is becoming a man cat. I was looking into having him boarded here, but I called their customer service. Apparently, I was told that they would take him nonneutered. While I was filling out the forms, I had noticed that in the agreement it states that THEY DO NOT TAKE NON-NEUTERED male cats. So just a for your information to anyone that has a nonneutered male cat, they will not take them. read more

Petsuites Hamburg was the cheapest and closest boarding facility to us. We have had two separate events take place at the facility. A month or so ago we boarded our dog Tater at pet suites and when we picked him up he had scabs on his neck and the side of his face and ear. Normally dogs are dogs and Tempers can get high in a group setting. However there was no communication from pet suites on how our Tater boy got those scabs. Which is very concerning to me. I couldn't tell you how upsetting it would be to find out something worse might have happened and no communication was given. We decided to give petsuites another shot and decided to give Tater individual play instead of group play. But when you sign up for individual play they don't have that streaming on video so you don't know if your dog received the play time that you're paying for. The most recent issue with pet suites however shows how unequipped they are at handling the belongings of your pet. Tater had a dark red blanket with some figures printed in it, one of those being white bones, It was the same blanket he was adopted with. It holds sentimental value. Petsuites has a list of the items you drop off with your pup. Just because they have a list doesn't mean they won't lose anything. Not only will your things be misplaced and lost, somehow you will end up with an extra toy that wasn't yours. Petsuites doesn't do a good job of keeping track of your dogs belongings. Tater like many dogs also have medication. If Petsuites loses a blanket of sentimental value time. I'm sure they could misplace your dogs medication as well. If you're thinking of pet suites for your pup I would rethink that decision. Petsuites has lost my confidence as I can no longer trust them with any of my dogs. If they don't care enough to keep track of simple Items, then it makes me question what else they are neglecting to do. My advice to Petsuites is hire more people asap or trim down the capacity to fewer pups as well as work on your communication with the owners during the pups stay and when the pup is picked up. read more

EXCEPTIONAL CUSTOMER SERVICE!! Our Bauble and Sadie were warmly welcomed and taken good care of while my husband and I were away, even e-mailing us photos & "Paw-grass" reports for each of our fur babies. While at home preparing to take the kitties in after dinner so my husband and I could take a "red eye" morning flight, one of them hid upon sight of the carrier. It was coming upon closing time and it looked like we may not get to board her along with her sister whom we went ahead and dropped off to be punctual. Once there, I explained the situation to Carson, the manager, and she was kind enough to patiently allow us the little extra time to get our Sadie checked in. We feel more than confident in the care provided at Pet Suites and will always board our kitties there when vacationing. I would not recommend this place to anyone!! The staff is friendly, but are unaware of how terrible this place is for our furry friends. Personally I feel like this place is the equivalent of a poorly run animal shelter. Animals need a sense of peace and to feel relaxed. This place is complete garbage. I just wanted to try it out and after speaking to an associate she told me the suites were enclosed from floor to ceiling. Not!! The rooms are a cage link fence that has zero privacy as well as the "best" suites they offer. I recommend using Rover. I'm so upset about this place and do not recommend to anyone. read more

We love taking our dogs to Pet Suites because they take good care of our fur babies. We have used them multiple times and have only had one incident but it wasn't with the boarding it was with grooming. My pit mix had his nails trimmed a while back and they cut to close to the vein so he had some blood, but overall both the boarding and the groomers do a nice job, this was an isolated incident. This time they took extra special care of our Shepard mix since he has an ear infection and needed meds twice a day. They keep great records and they let you know if their are concerns. Today, Carson helped us checkout, she is friendly and very efficient I continue to go there, my fur babies are treated so well. Always leave me excited to go and gives love to all the employees. Makes me feel good to know they take such good care of them and make sure they stay safe and loved. Thanks to the staff, you rock! read more

While I love Tinesha, we often experience issues with this location when taking our dog for grooming. Many times, they have waited until I arrived for drop off to request vaccination records or will "forget" to complete an appointment. Definitely not worth the hassle!! read more

If I could give this place 10 stars I would! My friend Carsyn who used to be the resort manager there actually recommended me to use their daycare facility for my pup Linus. He's a handful full of energy and loves other dogs. So I figured why not! With his anxiety maybe having other dogs there and a lot of different people it would help him to calm down or at least enjoy life a little more. I was not disappointed, my dog came home super exhausted but so happy! He didn't want to leave ! He made so many new friends and played in the pool, he had a nice dinner and went straight to bed. I am so beyond grateful also for Bradley! He's such a nice guy and answered all my questions and concerns. He kept me updated on Linus and sent photos of him; I even got a report card! While we have never used their overnight services, my wife and I have used Pet Suites multiple times for day care while we visited the area. I am always impressed by the friendliness of the staff and by how they genuinely seem to love the animals that visit. Our dog is always uber excited when we come to pick him up. And not because he wants to get the heck outta there, but because he's clearly had a great time and he is hyped up with a smile on his face. Their prices are very reasonable and our dog even got a really cute and fun report card the last time he visited. I highly, highly recommend these guys. My only complaint? I had a 9:00 am grooming appt with a groomer. I waited 5 1/2 hours to have my Maltese groomed. I wrote in great details how I wanted her groomed. They totally ignored my instructions, cut all of her hair off. Also they cut a mole off her neck. Even though I wrote it down and told them. They did not tell me they cut the mole off her neck. I realized when I seen a crusty white substance on her neck. Do not trust them with your precious dog. I cannot even think what else they did to her that I don't know, yet. read more

First I'll say that my dog loves this place. But he's a puppy so he's gonna love any place that means playtime. My problem: they NEVER EVER PICK UP THE PHONE the whole point of a business like this is for people who have busy lives to be able to utilize the service and I'm not really sure how exactly I'm supposed to utilize the services IF I CAN NEVER GET AHOLD OF THEM. Oh. And what if there is some type of emergency and I need to notify them? Yes there's an answering machine that will let you know they'll call you back. But they never do. I unfortunately have no other option in town as all other daycares are full. But trust me when I say the second I I can stop taking my dog here I will. Wish I could give 0 stars. I very rarely leave reviews, but we have had problem after problem with Pet Suites. They have "lost" our vet records, saying we need to update them and having me stand at the counter to call my vet last minute while wrangling my dog, they have given conflicting info on documentation needed, turning us away last minute because of an error in their system and management, etc. The front desk staff have always been rude or seemed inconvenienced and I get different answers when I talk to different people. When we've used them there's always been an issue-he didn't get much play time because they were full, staff accidentally let him out of his kennel and he was running around the back area, and he came home with cuts on his back and side. I will admit our dog is large and can be very energetic! But the kennels that we use regularly have NEVER had an issue with him, so maybe Pet Suites just isn't well equipped to deal with certain breeds? Either way, we were using it in a pinch if our other kennels are booked, but we finally gave up and will not be returning. read more

We boarded our 3 small dogs for two nights during a short Lexington visit. We drove up from FL and needed somewhere the fur babies could stay before heading onto our final destination. Clean and inviting. Most of the dogs seemed to be okay from observing from the lobby. Check in was easy. When we picked up our boys they were more than happy to go. But that's normal. One issue we had, a heavy duty D-Ring that's essential for their car harnesses went missing. They gave us a "not to be used for climbing" d- ring. They would not do anything else to fix the situation. The problem there is the 14 hour drive ahead with a not secured dog. We asked if we should take the harnesses, leashes, etc with us. We were assured everything would be secure. Oh well. Lesson learned. read more

The PetSuites hotel is always where I board my little dog. The facility is large and right off the main Interstate 75 N which is very convenient for drop-off and pick-up. They have a large welcoming lobby, a grooming salon (which I've never used) and plenty of space for all size dogs and I think cats too. My dog London has stayed there on many occassions and I found PetSuites online. As compared to other boarding facilities, PetSuites had one of the better ratings. The prices are compatible with other boarding places. I did have a small issue that scared me one time as I arrived to pick London up and the lady goes in the back, comes out, ...no dog? Then she goes into the grooming facility (I didn't have her groomed though) and speaks with the groomer. Next she pops out with ...the wrong dog! I was like, freaked and the lady could tell immediately she had the wrong pet! She quickly apologized and said she pulled the wrong file up for obviously the wrong dog. That was kinda scary but we got over it and out popped my little tail-wagger from the back where she is usually boarded! I was kinda bewildered but decided it wasn't worth a major fuss that it certainly could have been. I was more interested in the positive outcome. In the past I would have over-reacted for sure. I still board her there and there have been no other issues. read more

I should begin by saying that I have used Pet Suites for almost 8 years. In the past, everything from the reservation experience, to the care of my dog, grooming and facility has been right on target. However, the last time I used the boarding facility (August 2018) I was so disappointed. The reservation service call came from the Cincinnati facility, The staff did not seem as warm as they usually are, I saw no familiar faces, my dog came home with ear infections even though I had sent medications and asked for his ears to be monitored. (No one even mentioned this to us when we picked him up.) We asked for a grooming service and the grooming was not done. (We were not charged for grooming). So, I'm not sure what happened... New Owners? New Policies? New Website? Bad Luck? I wondered how well my dog was really cared for? Did he get those potty breaks? Did he get playtime? Who knows? Something was clearly off. I just don't know why it was all so different. We have been using a different and less convenient boarding facility for long stays but we have a short stay coming up and I am going to try the Hamburg location again, and see if the kinks have been worked out. read more

My husband and I were visiting the Lexington area with our beloved Miniature Schnauzer, Lady, and needed a safe place to leave her while we visited distilleries on a cold Sunday. We could not have been happier with Pet Suites. It was located right off I-75 so it was easy to get to and the hours were extremely convenient, surprisingly so for a Sunday. The facility was roomy and obviously clean, well-organized, and well-maintained, and the price was very reasonable. The employees were obviously animal lovers. We were able to leave Lady and feel that she was in good hands. I called a couple of hours later to check on her and Shay offered to observe her and read her "chart." She reported that Lady was in group play and seemed to be having a ball. Upon picking Lady up, I was given a handwritten report card. I can't imagine a more positive experience than we had at Pet Suites. read more

We have been taking our dogs Sam and Coco to Petsuites for three years now. They absolutely love it there. There were a few times I had to go to another place and it was horrible. My dogs love the folks at Petsuites. They recognize me and my dogs when we go there. They actually love their job! They don't mind and even welcome the kisses from my dogs. I wouldn't take them any place else! I live their rewards program too. It's come in handy several times when it came to paying for their boarding services. I have had a credit quite often to apply to my balance which is always awesome! read more

WATCH OUT for your pets safety. What an awful experience, this is the 3rd time our dog has gotten sic after being at Pet Suites. This time she got the Dog Flu. After a almost $400 vet bill our vet told us she had seen several cases of Dogs that had been at Pet Suites and she advised contacting them to let them know and get a potion of our vet bill covered by them. The were not helpful and acted as if our vet was lying. I am very disappointed in my pets care and the customer service, we will not be returning and advise you not t either if you want to keep you pet safe and healthy. read more

The managers at petSuites in Hamburg do not care about animals in the least! They care about the money they make from our animals. Thank God they have some good employees that DO care about animals and even risk losing their jobs to do the right thing. There are too many situations to list them all but most recently there was an abandoned kitten outside in desperate need of medical attention, employees were trying to catch it to get it to a vet and were told by management the kitten was not their problem and to stop letting it interfere with their work. Thank God they went and caught it after work and got it to a vet it was near death and covered in blood. I would never take my beloved pet to these people! read more

Service was terrible! Had appointment set 3 weeks prior and the day of my appt. I was told I wouldn't be seen because of boarding vaccine my dogs didn't have. Its not a typical vaccine and you would have to request for your dog to receive it. If you want grooming from this place you have to pay extra for vaccine that is needed anywhere else. read more

My dogs stayed here a while back so I was going to give them another try because they are the only kennel open on Sunday to pick your pet up in Lexington. My regular Kennel isn't open on Sunday to pick up my dogs so I thought it would be cheaper to go to PetSuites that I could pick up my pets on Sunday. So let's start off I made an appointment to tour the kennels and I was dumbfounded and horrified with what I saw. First when you enter you are NOT greeted and I ended up with a lady seems to be clueless. She started off with the lobby that they try to get you to buy there treats and toys. This is when you are advised that you have to buy there toys at a inflated price if you dog wants a toy because they claim the state regulates bringing in any used toys you have a home because of the coronavirus.. After that she begins to ramble on about PetSuites grooming when I was there for only for kenneling services. Then she starts talking about how they've updated all this stuff since I was there 7 years before. But the problem was it was the same stuff 7 years ago how could it be updated when it was the same exact stuff then? She showed me the mediocre kennel area's and said that your dog only gets 3 potty breaks a day and the last break is at 5 pm! If you want extra potty breaks it would be $9.50 per dog each time! So I'm my case it would $38 each extra time for my 4 dogs to get extra potty breaks. Plus you have to pay an extra charge for play time per dog too even though all your dogs were together and went out the same time it was still per dog. She also informed me that you cannot bring their blankets in from home you have to use these thin little pads for your dogs to sleep on. They she took me back to the daycare for dogs room and claimed that it was brand new and improved when it was the same exact thing 7 years ago. The only thing different was that some of the paint was chipping and it looked rundown from the last time I was there. Than she took me out to wear they bring your dogs for there potty break and it was nothing but concrete slabs no grass on a small run. But what really horrified me was they had around 20 plus LARGE dogs in 1 fenced in area ALL TOGETHER! These dogs weighed around 50-100 pounds each they were all jumping and growling and snapping at each other! That is one giant dogfight waiting to happen! There was a very young boy in there and that was supposed to be supervision for 20 plus dogs in 1 kennel! Either there's gonna be a giant dog fight or kid is gonna get mauled. That is a big time safety hazard! I have a dog that is dog aggressive to others dogs and he is only 35 pounds and when he starts a fight it's almost impossible to get them apart. I can't imagine multiple 50 pound to 100 pound dogs getting in a fight. By the time I left I could just see money signs and I was afraid to leave my dogs there after what I saw with the total disregard for safety with other animals. I just didn't feel comfortable with the people who would be caring for my dogs because they seemed like they were clueless about working at a kennel. So I ended up taking my dogs to my regular kennel and still paid less for 2 days of kenneling for what I was going to pay for 1 day of kenneling at PetSuites. And at my regular kennel they can go inside and outside as many times as they want because they have indoor outdoor runs and I don't get charged extra for potty breaks. And also my regular kennel let me bring in their blankets and toys from home. They didn't try to force me in to purchasing there toys and treats.. read more

Our dog has been to "day play" close to 20 times and hates it. He has gone to daycare most of his life and had always enjoyed it until now. The staff is unfriendly. They never greet myself or my dog. It's like it is a challenge to check him in. At this time PetSuites is our only option as we need weekend daycare and have been advised that this is the better of the two options in Lexington. I think if the staff would smile and at least greet our dog it would make it a more pleasant experience. read more

I taken my dogs to several different kennels in the past, and I do like this one. It's nice, clean and well organized for the most part. The staff is very friendly. I do wish they had indoor/outdoor runs and a grassy play area. All they have is outdoor conference runs. The pens inside are nice and clean with concrete walls going halfway up. I wish they had some rooms that are totally enclosed, because it is really loud in there when the dogs start barking. Also, they only have two what they call penthouses. (These are bigger rooms for two dogs to share in a more quiet area of the space.) I sure do wish they had more of those because they always get booked early and I haven't been able to book one yet. Overall, it's way worth it compared to all the others in town and the rates are very reasonable. read more

Let me start off by saying that this is the first time my family and I have ever used a boarding service, so we are new to this. Like most folks probably do with day cares for their children we researched various boarding facilities and toured PetSuites and met the staff and saw where our dog would potentially stay. The place smelled and looked clean to me with plenty of space for dog to run around and you could bring their own toys, bedding and food if you liked or they would provide it. If you have never used a boarding facility as we hadn't they are not cheap but well worth it because your pet is apart of your family. I even signed up for their "Pet assurance plan" that in the event of a problem our dog would be taken to a veterinary and cared for and we would not be responsible for the bill ( up to $500.00) provided that it was not a pre-existing condition as I understood it. We dropped our dog off and went on our trip. Upon my return and on my way to pick her up I receive a phone message that no dog owner wants to hear, our pet is having several medical issues that need to be addressed. The first one began the second day we were gone and apparently the second issue began that morning. Blood in the stool, the day after we dropped her off and now blood in the urine. My first question was why wasn't she taken to a vet? I was told that "many dogs experience blood in stool with anxiety"... umm ok. My next question was, what about the blood in the urine? Staff response, " well that just happened, and we knew you were scheduled to pick her up". Now to me this is not what I paid the additional insurance fee for. I am being told that I have to take her to a vet and submit all of her records to PetSuites in order for them to I guess reimburse us our cost. I thought the staff person that I spoke with was rather rude and acted very nonchalant regarding my concerns going so far as to tell me " well it was just a drop of blood in her stool". That to me doesn't make sense, since the message said " their is blood in stool and not drop, one phrase seems to be of a bit more concern than the other. Not to mention this happened on the second day, why wasn't I called about this incident? The facility is nice but not real happy with the service at PetSuites Update: Turned out to be a bladder infection, I don't know if they consider that to be a pre-existing condition or not, I did not want to deal with the staff anymore. read more

Every time we go on vacation, we board our Shih Tzu, Cuba, at the Lexington, Ky location. Cuba is always happy to go and it gives my wife and I a peace of mind that he is well taken care of. He eats special food and needs oatmeal shampoo/pills for skin allergies and the staff are very accommodating to make sure he has what he needs. Cuba never complains when we drop him off. We also has him groomed and the groomers follow the instructions in his file and never hesitate to call us when needing clarification. We highly recommend this location. read more

I take both of my dogs here and my two cats. My dogs run into the lobby so I can tell that they are happy. I have been using them for 3 years and always have great results. My cats boarded for the first time last week. I expected that they would be upset with me but when I came to pick them up, they were handing out in the window watching the bird feeders.
