The fur here is standing up from scabs. This is a clear photo of one bite mark but there are others

I have really mixed feelings about my dogs stay here. On one hand while on my weekend trip my mother went into the hospital. They were fantastic about letting me extend my dogs stay two extra nights with no warning. However I'm starting to have questions now that my dog and I are home. He has been extra itchy the past few days, which I didn't think much of since he is shedding and the temperature is rising. But while brushing him I realized that the bumps, which I thought were incipient hotspots or something, are actually scabs in the shape of dog bites. Lots of them. All along his back. He's a rescue so I would blame it on prior owners, except these are actively scabbed over and relatively fresh! This isn't old injuries. I had no notice from the employees during pickup that anything happened between him and other dogs during his stay. What the hell happened to my pup? Photo added

    Never again.

Absolutely the worst place to take your fur-baby. I figured, by this place being a PetSuite it would be a 5-star experience. But NO. I am so disappointed. I dropped off my fur babies on Monday June 29, 2020 and picked them up on Friday July 3, 2020. I called almost everyday to check on them since this was my first time dropping them off here. And with every call they would tell me that my fur babies were eating and everything was GREAT. Then on Thursday, I decided to call. Only to find out that they haven't really been eating their food and that one of my fur babies were given food that was NOT dropped off to the facility. PetSuites took it upon themselves to give my fur baby what THEY thought he needed without even consulting me. How dare you feed him something that he's NEVER had and surly is NOT in his diet to have. Not only that but when I picked up my fur babies, ALLLLLLLLLLL of their food that I dropped off on Monday was given back to me on Friday. Super pissed. So what were they feeding my babies???? AIR??? Then, one staff member tried to tell me, that was his LEFT OVER FOOD. GIRLLLL BYE! I said if you all had used his measuring cup THAT I SENT WITH HIS FOOD THERE WOULDN'T BE AN OVERFLOW OF FOOD COMING BACK WITH ME. HOW DID THIS HAPPEN? The staff member said, "oh he had his own measuring cup?" Lord have mercy!!!!!!!! YES HE HAD HIS OWN MEASURING CUP. YOU WOULD HAVE SEEN IT IF YOU OPENED UP HIS FOOD. So I asked, what cup did you all use to measure his portions with? She comes out with this TINY LITTLE BITTY CUP. Unbelievable. My boxer is 65lbs and you was feeding him WHAT with WHAT??????? Pissed. Below I have attached a photo of ALLLLL of the food that was picked up. There's so much more that happened but I don't even have the energy for this place. NEVER AGAIN. PERIOD.

I recently moved to the area and boarded our 3yr old Golden at Petsuites for 5 days. I paid extra so that he could have group play 3 of the days. When the employee brought him up, I immediately noticed a dried up bloody scab under his right eye. He also smelled awful and apparently they lost his food measuring cup (which is not a huge deal but it seems easy enough to keep in his food bin). I asked the employee what happened to his eye. She said she didn't know and they didn't even notice. She went into the back to check his play notes to see what happened. When she returned, she said there was nothing at all noted and it probably happened during play. I commented that since nobody noticed, I'm guessing his eye was not checked by a vet. I was told that was correct. She did not seem to care. I was furious and just wanted to get him home. So I paid the bill in full and left to take him home and bathe him. After cleaning off the dried blood, I found a decent size wound that I can only thank God did not injure his eye. I am disturbed about the fact that they missed what I saw immediately and that they were not concerned or at least apologetic. He now has a scar under his eye. I understand injuries happen. But they didn't even notice, didn't care, and didn't even bring it to management so that they were aware. I do not recommend them and will never take my pet back. I attached a picture of the wound taken same day of pick up.

So I live in Chicago, and am here (in Cincinnati) for the holidays. My 1 year old dog Bobbi, goes to daycare everyday in Chicago and does great. I could tell he was missing his furry buddies and my sister who lives in Cincinnati had some credits at Sharonville Pet Suites so I wanted to give it a try. The facility is nice and clean. The staff was also pretty friendly. Bobbi went a total of 3 days from the hours of 10-3 ish. I just wanted him there during group hours. The only reason I am giving this a 1 star instead of is because on the 3rd day, when they walked Bobbi out to me they said "have you noticed this in him" (see picture). I was surprised to see a fairly large scratch and hair missing from his back which I SURELY would have noticed and we even took pictures for the holidays a day before, I know for a fact it was not there that morning when I dropped him off. Look I understand that dogs play rough and sometimes even little fights happen... he was new to the group of dogs so that's normal. However I should have been notified IMMEDIATELY as soon as he was injured. At his daycare in Chicago they call me and leave me a message and follow up with an email and pictures in the event of any minor or large incident. For them to 1. Imply it was there upon drop off which is absurd 2. Not notice it until walking him out or 3. Not notify me immediately was ridiculous and why I have to give them a 1 star. Again I understand dogs play rough or even fight... it happens, but it was how they handled it that is unacceptable. Had they had called me and came out and been somewhat apologetic or had an explanation of when it happened. They clearly didn't even know what happened which is even more concerning. I will never take my dog back there as his safety is my priority. I am disappointed to leave this review and again had this incident not happened they would have gotten 3-4 stars, but this is just outrageous to send my dog back to me like this with no heads up or explanation.

We were called less than 24hrs before the stay to let us know our 10wk old kitten wouldn't be able to stay due to not having a rabies shot. Our vet doesn't give them til 12-16 weeks. While we 100% appreciate and respect their rules - our issue is with letting us know less than 24 hours before their drop off. That was unprofessional to say the least- especially when we got an email that said the stay was approved earlier in the week. After some last minute scrambling, a friend was able to watch them for us- which ultimately saved us the $500+. Hopefully better business practices for other clients will come from this- so they don't leave someone else in a last minute panic.

GO TO RED DOG--I DO NOT RECOMMEND PET PALACE, DUE TO POOR COMMUNICATION ( I was told my Taylin…read more(manger) that my dog had a little blood in urine twice (two separate stays and vet determined my dog was fine) via email and Taylin said it was normal). Every time I called, they said my dog was fine and then conveniently when I go to the hospital, you tell my mom my dog who has boarded multiple times can't board and medical boarding might be better. I call, when I'm in the hospital and Taylin says well maybe "short stays" would be best... so which is it?! Because me being in the hospital this week would've been a short stay. Then I asked about my booked upcoming stay and I'm thinking when the hell was Taylin going to tell me they had concerns (again, as pet parent I have NO emails that say they were considering they she couldn't come back). So no email trail. When I brought up the upcoming stay, Taylin said "well, I'm still thinking about it." WTF the boarding is literally next week. Who the heck does that, you're not making sense ...you said she might be better for shorter stays, but saying you'll consider a longer stay still, but told my mom no for a shorter stay ( At least get your story straight cuz you're obviously being fake and full of it) . I HIGHLY RECOMMEND RED DOG PET RESORT, I cried all day trying to get help to find somewhere for my dog while I was in the hospital and RED DOG HAD NO ISSUES! SO PET PALACE'S MANAGEMENT HAS NO BACKBONE, NEVER COMMUNICATED ANY CONCERNS TO ME AND JUST SIMPLY DIDN'T WANT TO TAKE OF MY DOG AND DEAL MY DISABILITY. NEVER expected this from Taylin, but we will definitely miss Mariah and her groomer Carla. In the future, if you're on management please have a backbone and have conversations with the parent of the pet. That's like kicking a child out of daycare when the school principal has had no meetings/written communication with a parent about any concerns, you guys are a joke. Taylin answered and after being with pet palace for so long I'm being told there were conversations being had, WITHOUT ME, the owner about whether my dog should be there. I'm so disappointed because I keep them up to date on the vet and they're trying to blame her age, she can't help she's aging and her conditions are stable. If you don't want to board my dog any longer have the balls and courtesy to say that.. don't make excuses when my dog loves it there and we keep you updated on my dog's health. To be honest, I just feel like they just don't want to deal with MY DISABILITY and it's being taken out on my dog... none of her notes say there were issues so please explain how all of a sudden it's a HUGE MEDICAL issue.. if you're always telling me she's fine just obviously has arthritis (which young dogs get too) and blood in urine a couple times... which Taylin said is normal for boarded dogs and my vet LITERALLY tested Raven and wasn't concerned. I don't know why Natalie is a part of any decision making without me knowing, because she's too afraid to even talk to me when I'm there... so why is someone who's scared to have an adult conversation with me having conversations about my dog. Managers should be direct, resolution focused and not afraid to talk to people and have conversations.

If it weren't for CBW he would be crated 8-5pm Monday thru Friday. Now he goes to camp on Wednesday or Thursday and gets to run and play all day, which has made a huge difference in his behavior at home. I love that I can watch Hux play on my phone or computer via the camp's webcams in each room. There's a camp counselor in each room to clean up after the dogs, make sure nothing gets out of hand, and give them a little love. The staff always greets us with a smile and now know Huxley quite well. In addition to weekly camp visits we've boarded Huxley for a night on a few different occasions. Each dog gets their own little room with a cot. I've sent a blanket and his toys to make it more homey for the night. The counselors handle feeding, medicine, etc. They even have grooming services. Huxley is known at his vet's office for hating having his nails trimmed but CBW did a great job with those once too. We love Camp Bow Wow!

We recently moved to the area and we have two adorable dogs who need grooming and boarding. We went through their process of being approved they both passed with flying colors. Next came our first time boarding, we communicated that we wanted our dogs to stay together in the same room. This was ignored and our girls stayed in two different rooms and we sternly communicated to them that this could not happen the next time we boarded. We forgave and moved on since people do make mistakes. We had them groomed a couple times and everything went smoothly until this most recent time. I went to pick up one of our dogs and the receptionist told me a final price for both the daycare and the grooming. Yet, a few a days later I look at my credit card statement and the price charged was over $20 higher than the price I was told. Very confused, we called them asking for an explanation. Their response was that the receptionist must have forgotten to tell me the final cost or I must have misheard her when I was in there or since most of their people know the additional charges that they just don't mention them. Well I am new to the area and I always appreciate transparency and good communication. Their receptionist lacked this and so did the people we talked to on the phone afterwards. Our dogs mean too much to us to work with a company who can't listen to basic instructions or communicate openly and professionally. There are much better options around so my advice is just keep looking instead of going here.
