I provided all the medical history needed and although my dog didn't have his influenza vaccine the Vet tech I spoke too told me specifically that they would still board him because the vaccine its self was inaccessible for the next few months and that they were accepting dogs without it for that reason. Forward to today, ( 3 days before his booking) they decided to call me and tell me they cannot accept him because he doesn't have his vaccine even though I cannot physically get the vaccine for him. They currently are housing two ball pythons together in an enclosure that is barely a 10 gallon. None of the reptiles have anything to climb onto that is high enough for them to bask. The fish tanks are covered in algae and dead fish. All of the saltwater fish especially look pitiful and sickly. If you work at a pet store you should have basic knowledge of animals. During all that time, we were only ever informed of one incident -- over a year ago -- which was described as a brief "scuffle" while several dogs went through a gate together. We were told there were no injuries, and after a short break, our dog returned to play with no further issues. There were no other incidents that day or at any other time until we were informed of his dismissal when we picked him up at the end of the day. Since his dismissal, we've made multiple attempts to get details about any other incidents and were denied. We even tried to speak directly with the practice owner and veterinarian, but she never responded. This has been extremely disappointing. As responsible pet parents, we wanted to understand what happened so we could address any behavioral issues -- but we were given no opportunity to do so. After years of loyalty to both the clinic and daycare (with as many as three dogs in their care at a time), the lack of transparency and unwillingness to communicate has left us questioning everything. They denied us any chance to correct behavior and keep our relationship as customers, and the practice owner's silence speaks volumes about how little they value long-term clients.
