We always take our dog to Pet Smart on Lake Andrews, in Viera. We had an appointment today for 1:30. I got a call at 3:05 thinking they were calling me to tell me that our dog was ready. Boy was I mistaken, they called to tell me that someone came in for "express" grooming and they took their dog ahead of our dog and they were just starting on our dog and he would be ready around 5:00 PM. I asked what was the point of making an appointment, which as I said, we are regulars, that it seemed to me that their reason was greed, because they charged more for express grooming. Oh, no, they just couldn't leave their dog!! I used to think these were professionals, however, I found that a regular customer means nothing if they can make an extra $$ by ignoring a reservation and inconveniencing their every 2 week customer. Needless to say, we will be finding a new groomer.

Two nails cut to the nerve.

I took my husky to be groomed by Heather and manager Kim. They cut her two of her nails so badly, she cannot even walk. Then they called me and told me they could not groom her because she "has arthritis and could not stand up" when the truth is that she could not stand up because she was in so much PAIN due to the fact that they cut her nails to the bone/nerve. My dog has been immobile since this happened. She weighs 90 pounds and I have to lift her and physically carry her to bring her outside to urinate. She cannot get to her food or water dish, so I have to nurse her and bring it to her. I am worried if she is even going to make it. As she is 12 years old and can't handle the severe pain. Petsmart did NOTHING for me. They did not care at all! Heather and Kim should be fired immediately. I am so furious and worried. This place should be shut down. This is criminal. Wish I could post a video of her unable to walk but it doesn't let me upload.

This is poor 17 year old Pebbles after they shaved her down for no reason..she was not matted...when I picked her up she was traumatized!

My 17 year old Pebbles was shaved down by a groomer at Petsmart. I brought her there for a bath and trim...instead they shaved her down and cut her nails. I told them not to cut her nails as she was at the Vet the day before and they trimmed them. But they cut them anyhow....

Good experience at this grooming salon. Everything looked clean and nice. Katie did a great job grooming my dog. I loved the way it turned out.

Very nice store and friendly customer service. We buy our dogs food there instead of the surprise meat dog foods at the grocery stores.

She also has Old Dog Vestibular Disease, and they watched her the whole time because she gets off balance. I'm so grateful to them! They really care, and it shows. GiGi came back looking and smelling beautiful! I highly recommend Paw Spa! And they don't have crates! It's really cute the way they have the room set up. GiGi even cuddled they said with another dog they had there. Very cool!

THIS IS AN UPDATE: As far as THE PAW SPA PET GROOMING, my…read morereview is still the same. After being to the vet and taking the medications, I'm glad to inform that KHLOE IS BACK TO HER OLD SWEET SELF. Meaning: she wasn't sick when she went to get groomed. She got sick 1-2 days after that so bad that we thought we were going to loose her (she's 16). ANOTHER MISTAKE was done and eventhough I tried to get the info from the vet (that I'm not going to mention here, but Khloe will no longer be their patient)... Before grooming, the employee asked me about her shots, which I did not have the info on hand... In front of me, she called (?) the vet who apparently gave her the okay to go ahead with the grooming. Detail: her BORDATELLA had expired on 10/25/25.Which I didn't know and I believe it's required for dogs who socialize with others. She should had denied service right there. At this point, I don't know who's "not telling the thruth". Khloe wasn't seen by her usual vet, but another one who's not listed on their website. When I enquired the vet, they "go around and around" without a "direct response" eventhough "all calls are recorded". I can only get to one conclusion: they're protecting each other. Be careful with who your trust "your babies" with... principally when they're old. We're their voices and it has been proved to me that not always these businesses have their best interest on mind, but that the $$$$ is way more important. Thanks to YELP who allow us to write here a review that can not be purchased and/or changed by the business owner. ps.1 - Yes... She had knots this time as many other times in the past. Groomers should know how to deal with that. Khloe was going there since 2022 and never had a problem with Ashley. ps. 2 - Owner said that it was going to send me a record of the conversation which I never got and now I probably have been blocked from her phone. Which, BTW it's okay with me because I really don't want to deal with either businesses anymore.

He passed his meet and greet (9/3) and the we took him to daycare Tuesday and Thursday (9/8 & 9/11). The staff told us how much they loved Rocco, how he was very friendly and adapting quickly. **Preface: our dog has never had any skin issues in the 3 months we've had him** We noticed on 9/9 he had a patch of scabs on the back of his neck, but didn't think anything of it because he runs through fields and likes to play in the bushes. We then boarded him over this past weekend because we were getting married and didn't want to leave him locked up in a hotel room all weekend. We now wish that's what we would've done. 30 minutes before picking up our baby this morning, my husband received the text in the picture from a staff member. We were assured everything was fine and there was nothing else to be concerned about because he was doing better. As you can clearly see in these photos, there is still blood and a gaping wound in our dogs neck. The lack of transparency and compassion for our dog is absolutely ridiculous. They couldn't even be bothered to wipe the blood of his neck. We are unsure how he got this wound, but quite frankly it doesn't even matter because we can't trust Dogtopia to be truthful about it. Safe to say we will NEVER bring Rocco back.

When we went to visit , they didn't show us the areas where they played and never let us see on video their room where they go in crates! We brought food for our dog knowing that he is a fussy and eats only in the Evening when he chooses! They always brought an empty food bowl and said that he ate it all, I really thought that they were lying and told them that he never eats lunch. He continued his dinnertime routine, and the days that he was home, tried to feed him Lunch and he would not even sniff it! He would go in and was excited and when we picked him up, he was excited to see us, too. He was only there for about 2 months and we then went back to our home state. It bothered me that he was peeing inside only on the turf and walking around on wet turf which was mopped up. That always bothered me and it actually pretty gross! We had a person come over for a couple of. nights instead of bringing him there where we would not know if he really ate. The lady who came had previously worked there and told us that she would not put her dog there due to never going outside, peeing and poop inside and no windows what so ever! I decided that I would have to spend more time and check the reviews out much more carefully for this year! They take your money out from the credit card that they keep on File. You are required to give a 2 week notice when your dog is leaving and we did that. Looking at my bank states about 2 months later, I saw that they had removed money for the month that we. were not even in Florida. I called and told them and they said that a manager, Amy would take care of that and call me back. I had to call numerous times to finally have her call me. She must have hoped that I would go away! When she called, she argued about the extra money she had removed from my account, saying that was what we owed, and she could put 10.00 back on my card. I was ver upset about her dishonesty and she told me that when we return this Winter, Romeo could come for the first week every day that we wanted to bring him! I said fine and gave up. I do not recommend taking your Dog there as I no longer trust them, in any way.
