My son and daughter in law took their sweet dog to get a de-matt and trim at Petsmart Groomer. Upon return to pickup the dog, she came out completely shaved to the skin. She was also bleeding on several areas of her body from being cut, which tells me they were in too much of a rush and had no compassion for animals. Also shaved one set of eyelashes completely off and the other was not touched. Total negligence. The woman who did the job was Iris. When she saw how shocked they were when they saw her, Iris smirked, as if it was funny. $115, horrible job and the dog has been in shock since. I'll be posting about this groomer in several places. She shouldn't be allowed around animals. Before and after, Honey.

I'm not usually a fan of any chain store/establishment but I'm looking after some friends pets this week and this is one of the few locations that does cat grooming and it was my lucky day. Someone canceled and a spot opened up. My cat was a foster that I ended up adopting. He was unlike any other cat that I'd ever seen, and I see a lot fostering. He is always waiting for me, he comes when I call him unless he's napping. He goes for walks, he's like a puppy in cat form. So I had to adopt him. We were running errands that morning and like a pup he was running around to all windows in the car, trying to get a glimpse of this huge other world. After errands we arrived here. I turned my little buddy over to Miranda and she greeted him with so much love that I knew he was in good hands. After I picked him up, he was so relaxed and happy that he just draped his little body over the car seat, purring and looking as if he'd just got done with a spa day. This behavior alone, and the awesome cleaning job that was done deserves five stars. I've decided once a month he'll get his little spa day. And P.S. Tip your groomers. Look at their poor little arms. They look like battle fields, they give so much love - give them some back.

My little Jack Russell would try to jump out of my hands when I would go through her door and the dog saw her. I had a situation were my husband passed away, I moved to Seattle to be closer to my kids and had someone I thought would take good care of her. Their situation wouldn't allow them to keep the dog so I thought of Leslie, I told her about my situation and how sad I was so I flew back to Salt Lake and Leslie met me at the airport. My dog remembered Leslie and her anxiety totally was goon. She keep my posted on what was going and let me know that my little dog was with a new family that love her so much and my little dog has new friends that (yellow labs) love to play and are having such a good time. Leslie is by far the very best she truly love all dogs. Susan H

This 3rd time she had cuts on her rear paws and they would've become infected if she stayed any longer. Staff ignored my request to put her cone on over night to prevent paw licking. They couldn't give me a confident answer if she had eaten or not when I picked her up and they told me she ran out of food which surprised me as I always pack more food than what's needed for the stay. I question if the animals are ignored by staff too, the dogs outside are free roaming and I've never seen a staff member out there. All these issues under "New Management". I frantically turned to the internet in hopes of finding a good dog-walking service, and I hit the jackpot on my first try. I had never had a dog walker before, so I didn't know what exactly to expect, but I can safely say that whatever expectations I did have were blown out of the water by Ryan and the TWP team. I currently use the 30-minute walk, 5 times a week, option. A QR code magnet on my refrigerator allows the dog walkers to "check in" when they get to my apartment; they then walk my dog, Georgia, if she's up for it - she hates the heat, so if she doesn't feel like going out, the dog walker accommodates her and still spends 30 minutes at my apartment whether sitting with her, scratching her, playing with her toys, etc. Using the same QR magnet, the dog walker "checks out" after 30 minutes are up. While at work, I get an email every day during the "walk window" I specified during sign up, and I know the appointment has started. After half an hour, I get a second email to let me know the appointment is over along with a short message about where they went, what my dog did, and how she seemed that day. I love that I get these updates, because I initially had some guilt over taking this job, but I now feel completely at ease knowing that my dog is having fun while I'm at work. I've met two of the local walkers who take care of my dog, and both were extremely professional and courteous. It was immediately obvious that each of them love dogs, so it's no wonder that my dog is so excited to see them every day. I'm single, I don't have roommates, and outside of my career, Georgia is the most important thing to me. If I hadn't felt completely and totally at ease with a dog walker during the first day or week that I used their services, I would cancel immediately and find another service. Luckily, TWP is exactly what I was looking for - and more. I have recommended TWP to friends and coworkers, and I could not recommend their services more highly.

When he…read morefirst started at TWP, I was trying out another daycare facility at the same time to see which I was going to continue using. Well Goose got hurt twice within two weeks at the other facility (it was a bit of a free for all with all the "energetic" dogs in one space, which I think is more common than not), so I stuck with TWP. At first Goose was very nervous, and the updates I got didn't sound like my dog at all. He was about a year old and a highly energetic cattle dog mix, so it surprised me he was so anxious. Turns out once he learned the rules, he thrived! Now he's a "teacher" (hilarious). He helps new dogs feel comfortable playing in a new place. He has a blast whenever he goes for daycare, and I trust he is safe when I board him there as well. The staff are great and make sure to give him extra cuddles and pets when he's not playing with his dog friends. The training programs have always been outside my budget, but the socialization Goose has gotten from simply going to daycare 1-2x a week has been a game changer. The structure and staff's careful monitoring helped him learn how to appropriately interact with other dogs. It's a great place. I plan to keep coming here for years to come.

First of all, it is not one size fits all. They had a wonderful trainer, Amelia, who worked with our puppy daily and was incredibly responsive to him. They had daily blocks of social time, training, agility, rest, lunch, and potty time, so he was never worked beyond what his attention span could handle. I loved their approach to the social time. Most dog daycares simply toss all the dogs in a room, which led to many of our first dog's issues, so we love that TWP keeps a close eye on the dogs and actually teaches them how to interact, which is something we couldn't do ourselves! The daily report cards were above and beyond what we expected. We got a summary of his day, photos, and a written explanation of how to work with him at home on his skills, sometimes there were even videos! It isn't cheap, but it was worth every penny, and we have recommended them to all our friends!

I have a timid, sometimes reactive and aggressive dog, who needed a lot of help with training. After an hour consultation with Makenzie, we decided to do three day & train sessions where my dog would go to their facility for a half day of training one on one with Makenzie, three at home 1:1 sessions in my dog's natural environment, and three hour long group classes. The amount that I learned in these 6 weeks was absolutely mind blowing. Training your dog is about practice and consistency, and speaking your dog's language, and Dogtown gave me the confidence and the knowledge to be able to train my dog on my own. The day & train opportunities were a wonderful way to start. Makenzie would train my dog 1:1 and then would send me videos about everything they worked on during their sessions. When I came to pick her up, Makenzie would show me what they worked on and how I could practice it at home. The training sessions in my own home were incredibly helpful as well. It gave me time to practice with my dog(s) in their natural environment and refreshers on what we had already learned, and building upon the skills she was learning. The group sessions were amazing for my dog, and any dog, to have an opportunity to practice in a new, overstimulating environment with other dogs that she doesn't know. Since she is apprehensive around other dogs, this was amazing practice for her. On top of everything else, the team is so friendly and kind, and the trainers are so knowledgable. I had the chance to take a group class with their trainer Maren and she was wonderful as well. Thank you to the team for teaching both me and my dog the skills to be better trained.

The transformation of veterinary clinics across the country is truly a blight. The field has become unrecognizable. Veterinarians now spend their days offering vague assessments, nudging clients towards the possibility of clarity via an endless stream of diagnostics and procedures, each meticulously priced to generate maximal revenue under the guise of "doing what's best for your pet." This isn't care. It's a business model designed to capitalize on emotion. I have no clue why anyone would choose to work in this field as it operates today. Financial entanglement with large clinic operators and PE firms is increasingly difficult to avoid. That's by design. But if you can find a locally owned, truly independent clinic, your pet is far more likely to receive care that prioritizes their well-being over profits alone.
