My two kids (of the furry, 4-legged variety) love this store & so do I! When the wheat-free pet food craze starting hitting, I rolled my eyes & thought it was a way for companies to try to make me spend even more dough. But wouldn't you know it? My kitties not only love Blue food & Authority food, but my boy cat's sensitive stomach loves it too! Petsmart is one of the only local places I've been able to buy it, as well as Precious Cat litter (expensive, but it lasts so much longer than the cheap litter). Store is always clean and employees are super helpful & friendly...and forever trying to persuade me to adopt another kitty! Just because I always stop to talk to the cats at the front of the store does NOT mean I actually want to take one home! (Well, maybe the one with the sweet, sad eyes...but that's beside the point.) read more

They really need no stars, took my dog in to be groomed with Mario​ at 11:30​, had to wait to get checked in because he was doing something else at the time. So I explain to him to cut my dog hair a little less than a inch, at around 5:00p I phoned to pick my dog up said she wasn't​ cut yet. So I called back and told Mario​ to make sure she has a good sanitary cut so when she poop no poop on her hair, he said yea he knows and so on. Something said go get your dog and if she was not cut​ just leave and go elsewhere​. When I arrived they brought her from the back with all her hair cut damn near off. Not a pomeranian cut she looked like a miniature​ husky, I was livid this is the third time they have messed up my dog and then find out some lame excuse Mario didn't cut her and every time​ it's a problem with him ​and my dog. I was searching for a prescription dogfood the vet suggested. They recommended chewy.com but that takes time. My daughters family dog was sick and needed to start the new diet immediately. I was so thankful that the manager in the Lodi Pet Smart got on the phone and found the products available at the Trinity Parkway store. It was over a 20 mile drive from Lockeford but her families pet is on the road to recovery. Thankyou for being so helpful. They had called around to many Lodi stores with no luck. read more

We took our bull terrier here for training. The bull terriers as a breed tend to be stubborn and ours is no exception. The trainer seemed to be knowledgeable in general but had no experience with this breed and honestly admitted she had no idea how to deal with some of our dog's stubborn behaviors. They have a good selection of toys collars and leashes but their selection if dog foods is disappointing. They carry mostly the big name brands and have almost no specialty limited ingredient dog foods. Discount Pet has a better selection and lower prices. read more

Groomers....had Brittney as groomer, booked online...Allie was the one to help me at computer and she was super nice! Only good experience about everything. Maybe it wasn't Brittney directly, but my dog had 2 nicks (drew blood from shaving too close) right next to his manhood parts. Luckily not right on but still...she told me he was scared the whole time and that's why he came out skittish and scared. But obviously it was she cut him and didn't say anything. Thanks for the integrity. Never going here again, and pulling vet services at the end of the term. Also will start going to Carters Pet Mart instead. read more

This store is great ... Each time we stop by to pick something up for our pets we get asked if we need help. On our last trip we went into the pet grooming center to ask about grooming one of our cats... We had the pleasure of speaking with Allie and she provided us with lots of information. We were concerned about taking our cat in and she shared some of the tools they use... We were able to buy the needed combs and shampoo and were able to take care of our cat at home and safe him the stress of a road trip and a new environment. No more issues with his coat... My son and I have been searching for pet supplies. We are new to this area, and have been to a bunch of different pet stores in the area. Upon coming to the store we were met with a Manager named Aaron. He was incredibly helpful and answered all of our questions regarding our pet rat. He helped us get A great deal on our cage. It was the best customer service I've seen in a long time. He really cares about our needs for our pet and was able to get everything we needed within our budget. We are now dedicated customers to Petsmart for all of our pet needs. We also have a dog and we will be purchasing everything he'll need from Petsmart from now on. Their customer service has declined tremendously. When I first shopped at this venue their was a high level of attentiveness for the customers - this declined over time as the faces of their customer service team changed. One of their managers, an older lady, lacks understanding of good service. They once sold me a sample flea and tick product that were explicitly NOT to be sold; it stated on the box. The older female manager refused to give me a refund and her attitude did not change until I recorded our conversation in which she stated that the corporate office of the product gave them permission to sell the samples. I did not think it was just to pay $75 for a sample product so I left my number and threatened to upload the video to YouTube. She called me within 20 minutes and offered a full refund. read more

I bring my pet to get groomed here and she's absolutely scared to death of this place. The staff seem friendly and they do a pretty good job, although once or twice they did over trim her nails, which is painful for the dog and to which I was not a happy camper, but not enough to complain since it really doesn't do any good. The staff around the store are all friendly and the store is relatively clean. This isn't an indictment on the store but some people bring their dogs in here without a leash, which is dumb but I'd like to think the staff would tell them to leash their dog but apparently they don't. read more

We went back to PetsMart the weekend before X-Mas to buy dog food and we just happened to take our "chug" Bella with us. Out of curiosity, I went over to the area where they were doing the pet photos with Santa and they actually had a real photographer there! So we paid our $10 and got the cutest pic of Bella with Santa (sorry, didn't have time to scan the pic). I asked the photographer about the other weekends and was told that they weren't scheduled to be there. Next year, we will definitely call ahead before making the 20 minute drive over there. read more

This review is for their grooming services. I have 3 small dogs (shih tzu and two long hair chihuahua mix) and I go at least every other month for their wash and cut. My dogs get what I ask for and I never have a problem. Their cuts come out good and they come out smelling cleaned. My dogs always look happy when I picked them up which is a good sign if you know your dogs because it they were being mistreated my dogs would look scared or have their heads down. So I really do like this location because I know my dogs are in good hands there. The staff are super friendly and always remember my dogs! They are also fast I think 3 hours tops they are in there. 5 stars from me! read more

When I first walked into Petsmart grooming it was clean, and seemed like staff were as friendly as well. We have a shih tzu and a maltipoo. The last grooming place we took them to they would always do the opposite of what we had wanted. So we gave this place a chance. When my wife and I picked up our little girls we were so happy with the haircuts that were given to them. We cant thank Joanna enough for the care and detailed work she put into our dogs. If you are unsatisfied with a purchase, take it back in its original package and your receipt (or not if you used your Rewards Card) and they'll gladly take the return or give a refund. I've returned unopened pet food and a used, unsatisfied pet nail clipper without a problem. Also, they always have good sale going on. Ordered something online for pickup and after an hour of still no "ready for pickup" email I called them, girl on the phone said it would be another 20 minutes so I let her know I was about 30 min away and I'd start heading out there and she said it would be ready by the time I arrived. On my way there my order was cancelled and I called as I was driving and girl on the phone said if it was canceled it was because they didn't have any in stock. PetSmart is the only place I like to shop for my dogs. It is close by and everything is neat and clean. The employees are nice and helpful and the employees in the hospital seem nice too, although I have only heard them speak to clients and have never used their services. The minus one star is for the online portion. Shopping online is easier and cheaper, but some of my orders have been canceled due to not being in stock but labeled in stock online...also one online order took over a week to process and I had to email customer service. Last time I went (Jan 13th), an employee was shocked to see me purchase dog shampoo because she didn't know that they made shampoo for dogs. She even asked ME if they had other smells available at the store and that she needed to get some for her dogs.. wow! read more

Incredible customer service! I walked into the store early in the morning, mistakenly thinking that it was open. I was welcomed and greeted warmly by one of the employees. He helped my make my purchase and even opened the registers to allow me to make my purchase. At no time was I made to feel like I interrupted his work to stock the store. Grooming Salon Review: The last time I brought her to be groomed, there was a female running the counter who obviously felt as if she was running the entire salon (if she WAS in charge, I feel bad for the employees). She was loud, rude, and unprofessional. I observed her speaking with other customers while I waited in line, and her tone was very offensive, and the other customer and I discussed this when the employee took the dog back. I always call before I arrive to pick up my dog to find out what time she will be done. I was told 10 minutes, so I came. When I arrived, my poor baby girl was shaking, cowering, and her face hadn't even been touched! But that's not the best part..... I stood in the lobby of the grooming department to ask what a better time for me to return would be. No one approached me until the same rude employee approached me and asked me, "Do you need something?" Uhhh yea. My dog. But that's not the best part.... I responded, "I was told to come in 10 minutes and I see my dog isn't finished. When can I expect her to be done?" The obnoxious woman at the counter said, "I don't know. She's not really cooperating with us." And left it at that. But that's not the best part.... I became impatient, so I waited in the lobby area to pressure them to move along. My dog had already been there for four hours, my children were getting hungry for their dinner, and I had already spent way too much money shopping for new dog toys and treats. The obnoxious woman returned to the counter and had the NERVE to tell me, "You need to leave. Your dog is being too difficult because she sees you standing here." Yes. I was kicked out of the public grooming salon because the groomers couldn't handle a 4 pound malti-shih. read more

Always clean, pretty well stocked...Cheapest prices I can find for my dog food and toys! I would much, much, much rather go here rather than to petco or discount pets! Wish they had a better selection on leashes and collars for small dogs. I feel like my 10 lb dog doesnt need a 6 foot long inch wide leash....lol. worse yet, the cheapest one they have is $13!...kinda pricey. The service here has changed dramatically!!! And thats not a good thing!. The employees use to be SO nice, friendly and welcoming! Now it looks as though they all hate their job, and it can be quite difficult getting a hold of someone to help you out in the fish/reptile and small animal section!...I can be standing in the section for 10 minutes, staring at cute little fishies swimming around in nice clean tanks, with employees walking by ignoring me. The other parts of store arent quite as difficult...Questions about food, toys, leashes, training? They are right there, with knowledgeable people to answer your questions! They opened a new Banfiled Pet Hospital inside and I take one of my dogs there!...I usually get the female Vet (I forget her name) and i LOVE her...She is great! She acts like she really cares about my dog, and makes sure that my dog is comfortable before starting the visit. Once, I got the male vet, and I felt like he was trying to push me into buying things my dog didnt really need...He wasnt very friendly and was in and out, leaving the vet tech to do most of his work. The rest of the staff, whose smiling faces you see before you go into your appointment, are awesome and very competent! They recognize me, even when I go in there without my dog and ask me how she is doing :) Their prices are really pricey for the vet, but they offer really awesome pet plans that are like pet insurance, but better!...So if you get one of those and pay monthly, its well worth it! Im an avid petsmart shopper for life, but I wish the front staff (cashiers mainly) would have some personality and say 'hello'...They act like wal-mart employees....getcha in and out without even a word sometimes except to ask me if I have a Pet Perks Card. For a place that I go into at least weekly, and spend at least $500 a month in (Hey, i have 6 dogs, 2 bearded dragons and 2 cats...Im always needing something), I expect a little customer service! Customer service went down A LOT about a year ago. Before, I would come here JUST for the customer service (because PETCO customer service is horrible, horrible, really really bad!!!!!!!), but now I go in and out with nothing more than a "bye"....Im in customer service, and I often have regulars, and like I said in another post of mine...I just expect the type of service I give out.... Get some of your old employees back, Petsmart and you are a 5 star +++++ again! I know its a rule your employees need to say "hi, welcome to petsmart"....Maybe you should enforce that again....its about time! read more

Love coming here as they have such a great selection & lots of fun items. Prices vary, some things are expensive, but others are cheap. Animal cages are always clean when I visit & they have toys etc to keep them entertained. I love that during the holidays they decorate & carry themed items...I love their Halloween & Christmas selection! read more

I wouldn't even give this place 1 star! I brought two of my dogs here multiple times and on different occasions was appalled. I'll just say I brought my german shepard here to have washed, cut and nails trimmed and when I arrived to pick him up Britany told me I needed to bring him back in when a male was present to trim his nails. Not only was she rude about it but this was a huge inconvenience because I do not live close by and I had already paid for the service. I also brought my other dog here and not only did they cut his hair right down to the scalp which was awful they burned his body with the shaver. My dog looked terrified when I picked him up and no wonder because when I woke up the next day his rear-end was completely raw and bleeding. I looked up the cause of this and its called shaver burn which happens when the shaver is dull and get so hot it burns your dogs skin. When I took pictures and showed them they didn't even try to make it right. read more

When I said I would just pay with my credit card the cashier rang the SAME cart up again it.. was $11 MORE than 5 minutes before. I just tried to take my dog for a nail clipping, only to be told they don't have him in their system. I was asked for his vaccine information. I brought that stuff last time I brought him in a few months ago. Mind you, my dog has gone to no other place, other than this for this service. According to them, they say his rabies vaccine expired 5 years ago, yet I was able to bring him in two months ago for the same service. I knew his vaccines had expired previous, so I brought the new ones in last time. Can someone please articulate to me why they weren't on file?? Why there's no record of him being here?? Because they can't. I get the typical "I can't explain why it was done last time" bureaucratic answer. I then asked "how do you have his information, including prior vaccine, yet no record of him being here?? Still couldn't answer the question. Rather than make a scene, I'm just taking my business elsewhere. I travel almost 10 miles to get here, right past a Petco for this. May as well stay closer to home and go to Petco moving forward... read more
