I wish I could leave 0 stars, my experience has left me devastated. I am feeling so down right now, physically and emotionally exhausted by an experience at PetSmart yesterday. I went in to purchase sweet Louie's favorite Oatmeal Shampoo, which is $13.99. It rang up as $19.99, so I asked the cashier to please adjust the price. She abruptly said no, in a very condescending tone. She came back and said the small bottle was $13.99, large $19.99. I explained that it was no fault of my own that they stocked the shelves incorrectly, but she still would not change the price. At that point I politely asked to please speak to her manager. This upset her, and she called me a bitch. Yes, she called me a bitch to my face and said she would not get a manager. I was so shocked, so appalled, that a cashier would say that. Then she said you're so dumb, things are moved around all the time. I asked for a manager again! At this point I was shaking, crying and having a panic attack because "Laurie" the cashier triggered a PTSD flashback which opens all of the painful wounds from being physically, mentally/emotionally,sexually abused in India-I had been kidnapped and held captive for 2 years, and nearly died. That is the scary and horrific thing about PTSD - reliving the trauma when you have a nightmare, flashback or trigger of some kind. Because of the nasty names they called me India, when Laurie at PetSmart did that, it was a trigger. I began crying, shaking, and had a panic attack and a meltdown. With PTSD, due to damage done to your brain, you are unable to control your emotions when flashbacks occur. Then, she has the nerve to talk about me to other customers while the assistant manager was helping me. Absolutely unacceptable behavior, simply disgusting. Because she caused a flashback, I now have a migraine, a cold sore, I am nauseas, overwhelmed physically and emotionally drained. I will not be able to function for several days now, and will have stay in bed. I even called a crisis line to receive some help and support. PTSD is no joke, it is a terrifying demon that can rear it's ugly head at any time, and it happened this time because a PetSmart cashier verbally abused me. I've written a letter to their corporate office so they are aware, and can assure no one will ever be treated so disrespectfuly again! read more
